“This was our first time having Lulu as a Rover and she was great! She was very communicative, shared tons of photos, and took wonderful care of Patty. We would love to have her rover again and would recommend her to anyone.”

“Erika is amazing! Her care for my pup was so appreciated. She gave him so much attention and love that he didn’t even miss me during my multi-day trip away. This is our second time working with Erika and we will be seeing her again in the future. A+ service!”

“Jenni was outstanding! She was great to communicate with, went above and beyond in taking care of the house, and most importantly, the animals really felt safe with her. We will absolutely be requesting her services again.”

“Kate was amazing!! She checked in often and sent photos of my dogs daily! Dolly is usually timid of people but she was really comfortable with Kate! She stayed at my home and was with them majority of the time! They had constant care and attention. When I returned she started laundry for the bedding and towels, and left everything spotless! It doesn’t even look like she was here which is such a blessing to come back to a clean home! I would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, but what really sets me apart is hands-on experience actually raising and training one myself. I grew up training my German Shepherd from a young age, which taught me patience, consistency, and how to understand dog behavior, not just watch them. As a student athlete, I’m very active, so I naturally bring a lot of energy to walks, playtime, and keeping dogs engaged. At the same time, I understand that every dog is different, some need structure and training, while others need calm, gentle care, especially seniors. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training, handling larger or high-energy breeds, and making sure pets feel safe and understood while their owners are away. I don’t just “watch” dogs, I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and building trust. As a college student athlete, I keep a very structured schedule, which actually makes me reliable and consistent when it comes to pet care. I plan my days around responsibilities, so I make sure pets are fed, walked, and given attention on time. I also work part-time at a golf course, but I’m looking to spend more of my free time doing something I enjoy, being around dogs. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because it gives me a break from school and sports while still staying active. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon check-ins, or evening care, I’m used to balancing multiple commitments and staying dependable. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine, feeding times, walks, play, and any training habits they’re used to. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the pet’s environment, making sure everything stays clean, safe, and stress-free. I give dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision, and I always keep owners updated so they feel confident their pet is in good hands. I’m especially attentive to energy levels and behavior, whether that means getting a high-energy dog out for a long walk or just spending calm time with a more relaxed or older dog.
“Erin is wonderful! She house and dog sat for two weeks. Trustworthy and loving to our two dogs and send photos of them every day. Outstanding communicator. Will use again and again!”

“Julia took excellent care of our girl. We made a last minute request for Julia to extend her stay and she was kind enough to accommodate. I would definitely recommend Julia for your pet sitting needs.”

“I'm so glad to have found Mirette to housesit for my two dogs! It makes me feel better knowing that I have someone I can trust with my home and my fur babies. I've used Mirette several times now and highly recommend her.”

“Deidre was great! Took good care of my girls and my house. She kept me very informed and sent lots of pics. She went above and beyond. Would use her services again!”

“Sharon was amazing and I will 100% look to book with her again. I had planned to have her watch my dog from a Friday through Tuesday while on a vacation, but a family emergency ended my trip while I was traveling. Sharon was great to work with during this time, insisting that we modify the reservation to account for the shorter booking, all while sending pictures and videos of my dog—which my family and I really needed to see during an emotionally draining time. Otherwise, she just completely handled taking care of Teddy while I was gone, and I didn’t have to worry about a thing.”

“Excellent sitter for my 8 year old and 2 1 year old Rottweiler puppies. Mya is a loving and compassionate person. She followed my special instructions to the tee and was especially great with my youngest puppy with epilepsy as one of the 7 dogs in her own household also has epilepsy. I couldn't have asked for a better person than Mya for my last minute booking while I had surgery. Will definitely use her repeatedly! Highly recommend.”

“Rachel did an amazing job with our dogs. We were able to enjoy our vacation, knowing she was taking such good care of them. We got daily updates, with pictures. She gladly brought in mail and watered plants for us. She is very accommodating and fit us in to her schedule. She was able to pop in for 3 afternoons visits before her time here started when our son wasn’t able to get here during the day to let them out. We will definitely be calling her for future jobs! She’s a gem!!”

“Stephanie was fantastic watching our French Bulldog! We got a number of updates and she went above and beyond. We very much appreciated her and will be using her again!”

About: I’ve been owned by several (rescue) dogs and a few cats. Am capable a caring for multiple pets in household. Have lived with 3 dogs for several years. I’m good with all animals and have a tendency to make a critter calm. Senior dogs are a specialty and regular medications are no problem. Done a lot of house sitting for pets and home security. Day care and overnights easy as I am retired with only a few obligations with my time. I am retired so an abundance of time is available. I do have a commitment to sit with a dog and two cats every Wednesday. I feed/walk/play with two dogs every evening and a long walk on Saturday afternoon. I clean a home once a month on my schedule. I am involved in my church (Sunday worship and once a month vestry meetings). If you desire overnight stays or extended visits I’m able to do that as long as leaving for above mentioned obligations works with your pet. My specialty is senior dogs. I prefer smaller dogs as I am older fella and wouldn’t want to lose grip walking or caring for large dogs. Feeding/walks/medications not a problem If doing check ins I am punctual and trustworthy in your home.
“Jennifer took care of our 2 dogs and home for a few days - she did a fantastic job! She communicates regularly with pictures and information which is super helpful and comforting while being away. We highly recommend Jennifer!”

“Maryn did a great job watching our kitties. She stuck to our routine with their feeding schedules and left our home exactly as we left it. She even went above and beyond with leaving food and water out for the neighborhood cats who were not included in the booking but who my husband and I look after. We will definitely be booking with Maryn again!”

“Abby is the best!!! If there is a Rover hall of fame, Abby should be voted in on the first ballot. Our animals love her and she takes great care of them. Left the house in immaculate conduction and even watered our flowers for us. Our return flight was delayed and Abby just rolled with the changes. If you have any apprehension about hiring a Rover sitter, select Abby. You will also provide a 5-star rating. Thank you Abby!”

“This was my first time using Rover, and I couldn’t have had a better person to stay at our house and watch our pups. Randall sent lots of updates and pictures of Penny and George Otis while we were on our trip. He spoiled them just as much as I would. The house was left super clean. I know the pups are missing him already. Can’t wait for him to house and dog sit again.”

Self Help Neighborhood Council pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was my first time using Rover, and my first time leaving my kitties. I was blown away at how wonderful Ashley was! She was so attentive and wonderful with them. She did perfect with the insulin injections for Pedro and made sure he ate, sent me pictures and I swear my house was cleaner than when I left it! I highly recommend her. 🩵
I recently had to go out of town for an extended business trip. Amber is always excellent with my dog start to finish! I get regular updates and photos and I can tell he was comfortable and well taken care of when I returned. I am always worried about my dog. Some might even call me a helicopter dog parent. But I find my mind more at ease when Amber watches my dog. I cannot express how thankful I am for her services and commitment to the health and happiness of my dog. Thank you, Amber!!

Aaliyah did wonderful with my older pittie when needing someone to watch her last minute. She was reliably on time for visits and took her on plenty of walks. She came by before to meet her and get to know the house. She provided timely updates and responses. Will definitely use Aaliyah again!
