About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, but what really sets me apart is hands-on experience actually raising and training one myself. I grew up training my German Shepherd from a young age, which taught me patience, consistency, and how to understand dog behavior, not just watch them. As a student athlete, I’m very active, so I naturally bring a lot of energy to walks, playtime, and keeping dogs engaged. At the same time, I understand that every dog is different, some need structure and training, while others need calm, gentle care, especially seniors. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training, handling larger or high-energy breeds, and making sure pets feel safe and understood while their owners are away. I don’t just “watch” dogs, I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and building trust. As a college student athlete, I keep a very structured schedule, which actually makes me reliable and consistent when it comes to pet care. I plan my days around responsibilities, so I make sure pets are fed, walked, and given attention on time. I also work part-time at a golf course, but I’m looking to spend more of my free time doing something I enjoy, being around dogs. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because it gives me a break from school and sports while still staying active. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon check-ins, or evening care, I’m used to balancing multiple commitments and staying dependable. I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine, feeding times, walks, play, and any training habits they’re used to. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the space and the pet’s environment, making sure everything stays clean, safe, and stress-free. I give dogs plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision, and I always keep owners updated so they feel confident their pet is in good hands. I’m especially attentive to energy levels and behavior, whether that means getting a high-energy dog out for a long walk or just spending calm time with a more relaxed or older dog.
“Kristin was very responsive and helpful. Our dog while very sweet can occasionally be particular with the new people she meets (as a rescue pup) Kristin was extremely professional and reassured both us and Daisy and made for a great experience. Thank you!”

“Erin is wonderful! She house and dog sat for two weeks. Trustworthy and loving to our two dogs and send photos of them every day. Outstanding communicator. Will use again and again!”

“Kate was amazing!! She checked in often and sent photos of my dogs daily! Dolly is usually timid of people but she was really comfortable with Kate! She stayed at my home and was with them majority of the time! They had constant care and attention. When I returned she started laundry for the bedding and towels, and left everything spotless! It doesn’t even look like she was here which is such a blessing to come back to a clean home! I would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“This was our first time having Lulu as a Rover and she was great! She was very communicative, shared tons of photos, and took wonderful care of Patty. We would love to have her rover again and would recommend her to anyone.”

“Julia took excellent care of our girl. We made a last minute request for Julia to extend her stay and she was kind enough to accommodate. I would definitely recommend Julia for your pet sitting needs.”

About: I’ve loved animals of all kinds since I was a kid! For the last 8 years I have worked as a veterinary assistant working hands on with pets of all kinds including anxious pets, special needs pets, and geriatric pets. I’m comfortable giving medications or following specific directions for pets that need just a little more attention. I of course love pets of all ages whether that’s playing with young pets or giving older pets more accommodations. I’m currently working part-time at an animal clinic, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pet! I go for walks twice daily already and your pet would make a perfect addition! I live in an apartment with my 13 year old cat, Juliet. Juliet is a very sweet cat but will typically hide when other pets are boarded in the home. My apartment is located in the Volker neighborhood with parks and plenty of walking trails nearby. For in home boarding, pets are welcome on my furniture including the bed. I am happy to follow any and all requests for boarding / caretaking inside your home, including giving medications either orally or injectables.
“Mary did a great job caring for our dogs while we were out of town. We will definitely be using her again and appreciate her help especially at last minute. Thank you Mary!!”

“Jenni was outstanding! She was great to communicate with, went above and beyond in taking care of the house, and most importantly, the animals really felt safe with her. We will absolutely be requesting her services again.”

“Emma stayed with my cat Patrick for a week while I was in another state for work. Patrick needs some special attention and takes daily medication. She did a great job making sure he was taking care of and comfortable! Additionally, she communicated with me well and made sure to send me some pictures every day!”

“Abby is the best!!! If there is a Rover hall of fame, Abby should be voted in on the first ballot. Our animals love her and she takes great care of them. Left the house in immaculate conduction and even watered our flowers for us. Our return flight was delayed and Abby just rolled with the changes. If you have any apprehension about hiring a Rover sitter, select Abby. You will also provide a 5-star rating. Thank you Abby!”

“Stephanie was fantastic watching our French Bulldog! We got a number of updates and she went above and beyond. We very much appreciated her and will be using her again!”

“Whitney did a wonderful job dog and house sitting for us last weekend. She took the time and effort to make our dog comfortable and to develop a close relationship with him. We highly recommend her!”

“Erika is amazing! Her care for my pup was so appreciated. She gave him so much attention and love that he didn’t even miss me during my multi-day trip away. This is our second time working with Erika and we will be seeing her again in the future. A+ service!”

“Jennifer took care of our 2 dogs and home for a few days - she did a fantastic job! She communicates regularly with pictures and information which is super helpful and comforting while being away. We highly recommend Jennifer!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our puppy for our first time leaving him with someone else. She took great care of Winston and sent us many fun pictures showing how much fun he was having with her. She was great at sticking to his schedule we had in place already including food and naps as puppies need there naps. She was very good about communicating and asking questions if need be. I highly recommend Gabriella.”

Self Help Neighborhood Council pet parents share their Rover experiences
This was my first time using Rover, and my first time leaving my kitties. I was blown away at how wonderful Ashley was! She was so attentive and wonderful with them. She did perfect with the insulin injections for Pedro and made sure he ate, sent me pictures and I swear my house was cleaner than when I left it! I highly recommend her. 🩵
I recently had to go out of town for an extended business trip. Amber is always excellent with my dog start to finish! I get regular updates and photos and I can tell he was comfortable and well taken care of when I returned. I am always worried about my dog. Some might even call me a helicopter dog parent. But I find my mind more at ease when Amber watches my dog. I cannot express how thankful I am for her services and commitment to the health and happiness of my dog. Thank you, Amber!!

Aaliyah did wonderful with my older pittie when needing someone to watch her last minute. She was reliably on time for visits and took her on plenty of walks. She came by before to meet her and get to know the house. She provided timely updates and responses. Will definitely use Aaliyah again!
