“Great having Saige as my first sitter! We met at a Starbucks to do a meet and greet and I instantly felt comfortable. Scary bringing a stranger into your home these days, so I was thankful she was open to answering any questions and wanted me to feel comfortable. Days later, I then had Saige come to my home to meet my cat and see the space to ensure she would also be comfortable sitting at my home. She petsitted or pet sat(?) lol, for 4 days and there’s hardly a hint that she was ever here - meaning she left the place as she found it and didn’t leave a mess or anything. I don’t think my kitty ever got super used to having a stranger in her home but that’s not Saige’s fault. My kitty is just super shy and takes a while to warm up to strangers. I just asked that Saige respect her boundaries and space and I believe she did that! My kitty is almost 16 years old and I just really wanted that reassurance of having someone around more often than just bopping in for 15 mins a day - so I’m thankful for finding this service and the sitting going smoothly! About: I’ve loved animals of all kinds since I was a kid! For the last 8 years I have worked as a veterinary assistant working hands on with pets of all kinds including anxious pets, special needs pets, and geriatric pets. I’m comfortable giving medications or following specific directions for pets that need just a little more attention. I of course love pets of all ages whether that’s playing with young pets or giving older pets more accommodations. I’m currently working part-time at an animal clinic, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pet! I go for walks twice daily already and your pet would make a perfect addition! I live in an apartment with my 13 year old cat, Juliet. Juliet is a very sweet cat but will typically hide when other pets are boarded in the home. My apartment is located in the Volker neighborhood with parks and plenty of walking trails nearby. For in home boarding, pets are welcome on my furniture including the bed. I am happy to follow any and all requests for boarding / caretaking inside your home, including giving medications either orally or injectables.
