Pet care experience

Warm, Caring Dog Person

Hello! I have done pet and home sitting a number of times, as well as other types of home care. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds. It is important to work with someone that is responsible and can be trusted, especially during these times. Several training techniques can be incorporated to help make walking more enjoyable, and I would be happy to help with light training, if needed for pets. This may include a mindfulness to watch the dogs carefully and respond appropriately to their behavior and emotional cues, walking in areas with more or less foot traffic, with more or fewer dogs around, treat training, and or different types of collars and leashes. 45 minutes is a great amount of time to walk/ work with most dogs. I want to care for your pet as you would like them to be cared for, whether as a single time or weekend, or on a regular basis. I enjoy helping people, and helping with pets is one way to do so! To me, it is important to be caring to all animals, to help them feel secure, whether it is during a walk or in their own homes. I look forward to helping you with your pets!

Alison did a great job with Bella and looking after our home. We found her to be very conscientious - she asked great questions at the meet and greet and kept us informed daily with pictures and comments throughout her engagement.

Alison was an amazing dog and house sitter for our boy Guinness! He is a high energy pup, that needs to be walked daily and gets anxious when we leave him. When we had Alison stay with him so we could enjoy a family lake trip, we were all put at ease including Guinness. She even agreed to feed my fish while we were away. Alison will be a great choice for care, if you must leave your beloved pet while you’re away. You can rest knowing they will be in good hands!

Ali house sat for me for a few days, I came back home to a clean house that looked untouched, and some very happy pets. She is trustworthy and reliable! I would recommend her to anyone :)

If there are special considerations, please try to discuss prior to the meet and greet. Many situations can be worked around, if necessary. Behavioral traits and temperament are helpful to know in advance. Whether a dog(s) gets along well with others, is house trained, how he/she/they behave with other dogs.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
