My cat is my guru.
I have had every kind of pet from cats to dogs, to bunnies, lizards, frogs, a snake, mantis, turtle! I even cared chickens in a rainforest in Hawaii and always prioritize an animals well-being. Animals are like guides sent from beyond, if you don't know what I mean, one day you will meet such an animal, and I hope that you are equally blessed by such a meeting! I do not party, do drugs, or have friends over. Your home is your casa! I check the mail, water plants, change and rinse water bowls daily. clean up spills/ accidents. I used to be a professional housekeeper, no it is not my job, but, I will leave your house as clean or cleaner than I found it! Growing Up I was a cat lover, then I fell in love with dogs at age 10 when I had a rescue Welsh Corgie, Shorty. He was my best friend and I read all the dog training books and learned about positive reinforcement and how to communicate with them. My husband and I have a chamelon and a cat now, Anastasia is my ride-or-die! She really is my guru and is an example of living the best life, 'Pur'ra Vida ;) Doja is so chill, and like a little Buddhist monk. Animals are guides. It's like getting to know a spiritual teacher, you never know what they are there to show you! Animal companions do so much for us. I treat each animal equally with respect and compassion. It gives me enormous sparkly joy to see an animal truly cared for, happy and content.

I take care when in a new animal's environment but it helps to know if an animal is skittish, nervous or protective. I only care for socialized animals and dogs who are leash trained and not aggressive. I am more than happy to shower your well behaved kitty or pup with above and beyond care. I will come by to do a meet and greet, get to know their routine and provide your furry or scaly friend with attention, care and companionship. I always send updates for multiple day visits!

Melissa is always great with the dogs and checks in often which gives us peace of mind that the dogs are being taken care of!
Melissa did an amazing job as alway! Nelson can be pretty demanding, but Melissa did an amazing job while we were out of town, keeping her calm and happy. Especially loved all the photos! Could not recommend her enough!
We can’t say enough good things about Melissa! She’s cared for our two cats and dog multiple times now, and every experience has been absolutely top-notch. She communicates often with updates and great photos, takes our dog on regular walks, and always asks thoughtful questions to make sure everything is just right. When we return home, the pets are happy and relaxed, and the house is spotless — it’s clear she treats our home and animals with real care. Melissa is truly the best and the perfect person to look after your pets while you’re away. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!
After Melissa watch Nelson earlier this summer, I knew it would be a great fit for her to come by on a day where we were gonna be out of the house for over 12 hours. It’s such a relief to know that Nelson is happy with Melissa and that she wouldn’t be alone for the whole time! P.S she always takes the best pictures!!
We got cutie pics of our babies every day! She was amazing and made sure our animals remained distracted while we were gone! Even washed sheets and put dishes away. 10000/10!!
We recently had Melissa pet sit for our dog and two cats, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the care she provided. From start to finish, she was reliable, attentive, and clearly devoted to making sure our pets were happy, healthy, and well cared for. Melissa took our dog on frequent, regular walks and kept us updated with tons of adorable photos that gave us real peace of mind while we were away. One of our cats had an injury that required a little extra attention, and Melissa handled it with such care and sensitivity—we were truly grateful for the way she looked after him. Both cats were well-fed and comfortable, and we came home to find all three pets relaxed and content. Not only were the animals happy, but our house was absolutely immaculate when we returned—it’s clear that Melissa takes pride in every aspect of her work. We would highly recommend Melissa to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like her own. If you want your pets to have the absolute best care while you’re away, Melissa is the one to call!

Programa
I am a part time student, mostly remote classes, and I am a writer. I make my own schedule and love the freedom to change around my schedule, that said! I love planning in advance and once a schedule is set I do take that seriously, so I appreciate advance notice of any changes.
