Working with a farm of animals to a pup or cat on the lap. Growing up with 12 horses, 2 mules, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 chinchillas, and an array of different animals on job, even those of the exotic type, I will be happy to discuss the care of your animals and the special needs they may have whether it be medication or particular daily rituals. Outside the world of pets I have been a general contractor/handy man for 7 years and can build/repair from the ground to the roof of your property and home with a experienced keen eye for detail with problem solving abilities. About: I have spent the last 3 years traveling while doing house/pet sits throughout Mexico, Arizona, California, Michigan, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. My clients have included some high profile gigs in Bel-Air, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu, but I have also spent months at a time living off-grid in the Mexican jungle and caring for animals on remote farms. My experience dates back to 1991 when I worked my high school summer vacations on a sheep farm to escape city life. I love ALL animals, and have had a special connection with them, my whole life. Your pets (and babies) will be comfortable with me right away. I have been a mom to birds, rodents, fish, cats, and dogs. I do have some experience with reptiles, as well. I come with many years of hands-on experience with dogs and cats from the puppy/kitten stage through their golden years, so you can rest assured that any special accommodations your fur-baby may need will be met with kindness and compassion. I am particularly fond of, and experienced with Bully Breeds, Golden Retrievers, and Doodles of all varieties. I only provide pet care in the owners home as I’ve found it is a far less stressful experience for the pets and the sitter. It’s all I do, so your pets will get tons of attention and affection. About: In addition to being an avid lover of dogs (and walks!) I'm a 22x International marathoner and minimalist backpacker and traveler, as well as a yoga and meditation instructor. As a result of the aforementioned, I enjoy (and match) pups from all over the energetic/activity spectrum, can comfortably and respectfully care for homes and animals as though they're my own, even if only for a night, and can mindfully approach pups with their comfort and needs in mind. I have experience with overnights, ranging from two to ten nights-- with pups of all ages and health profiles and give frequent text and photo updates if so desired. Over the last four years, my top three repeat pup-friends (and their homes,) which I've cared for have spanned from sweet-yet-anxious Whippet, burly-but-cuddly Pit-Boxer mix, and an active-and-energetic Bichon-Poo mix. I am new to the area and still working out my professional schedule, but would love to meet/care for local dogs in my neighborhood (Uptown.) All care will occur based out of dog parent’s home, as our rental agreement mentions solely our dog as being onsite.
