“Louie had the best time with Crystal! We loved all of the photo updates we got of him playing and going on long walks with the other pups! He had an absolute blast and we will definitely continue to use her for future stays!”

“Bria was awesome with my dog. She communicated with me at least on a daily basis with picture updates. I could tell she was well cared for on her pick up day as it took her a second to recognize me! I think we’ve found a home for her when I’m away.”

“This lovely couple is my fur baby’s preferred boarder. He’s stayed with them now more than 3x and when I use this app, I always rebook with them. They are kind, share updates and have a clean and safe home. My little guy - typically shy - is excited when he stays with them. 5 out 5 stars”

“It's reassuring to know that your dog's caretaker likes your dog (almost) as much as you do. I could tell by the texts and photos Jeff sent me during Ruth's stay with him that they were having a blast. I returned home to a worn-out, happy pup. I can't ask for more. Thanks Jeff!”

“Asha was AMAZING! She took care of my 120 pounds German Shephard for a weekend, ans she took very good care of him. Plenty of walks and snuggles! She provided updates twice a day with pictures, so I could see that he was doing well! I would totally book her again if I go away for another weekend!”

“Kennedy is a great communicator and provided a safe and fun place to board our dog while we were away. She gave our girl lots of love and I would happily book her again!”

“The nicest! Phill cared for our dog, he didn't just keep her while we were gone. Thoughtfully communicated how she was adjusting to her new surroundings, and was engaged with her to learn her personality. Our girl is a 50lb Micro Bully and he had no trouble with our lil' tank, adjusting her walks so she could manage the summer heat. We're grateful, Phill. Thank you!”

“Cynthia is extremely professional and definitely love dogs. I’m so glad I found her. She truly have been great to my fur babies. You must try her and I promise you that you won’t regret it!!!”
“Aniya is very sweet to my dog. My dog was little bit anxious after I left her to Aniya. Aniya spent lots of time to calm my dog down and had a very frequent communication to let me know my dog is OK.”

“Paula was an amazing sitter. From comforting me when my pup was acting out of character, to providing excellent care and attention to my pup during his stay. She provided detailed updates complete with pictures and videos. Definitely stumbled on a gem of a sitter with Paula.”

“We booked with Pamela while we were in town visiting for America 250. She took great care of Riley and it was comforting to know he would be safe and well taken care of during all the fireworks. He did well and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pamela for anyone who needs a sitter in the DC area.”

About: I grew up with a dog and cat that made me realize at a young age just how important they are in the household. That’s why when I got my own place, I knew I had to adopt! My beloved dog, Laya, has recently passed so I figured this would be a great time to provide my home to others needing a temporary safe, loving space. I’m extremely outdoorsy, so going on a walk, run or whatever your canine companion may want is more than okay with me! Playing fetch and tug-o-war is part of my daily activities... Oh! And don’t forget the belly rubs! My love for animals has peaked over the years, so this is an amazing opportunity for me to help them and their human companions live a happy, pawsitive, and adventure-filled life. :) I currently am only open on weekends due to my 9-5 job during the week and wanting to have enough time for your furry loved one. Any needs your pup/animals requires can absolutely be accomplished. I love cuddles on the couch to long hikes or runs any time of the day. Naps are also important!

“Booking with Alicia was a fantastic experience! She responded quickly to my last minute request and made my pup feel right at home. She communicated throughout the stay with lots of pictures and updates. My dog has a blast and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have always had pets since I was a little girl. I have had cats, dogs, fish, and gerbils. I have done pet sitting for neighbors for the past 17 years. I am doing this because I know the struggle to find a good, reliable pet sitter that you trust. I am currently working full-time Monday through Friday and am home by 3:30-4pm. I am also available most weekends. I have a young shih tzu of my own who would love to have some company. I live in an apartment, but I do take my dog out at least 3 times a day on weekdays and four time a day on weekends. We do have several nearby dog parks if that is something you would like.
“Pita seems like she had a great stay. They were very responsive the entire weekend to messages and sent me pictures of my puppy while I was away. Would definitely trust pita here again.”

“Tamara was a great sitter and took such wonderful care of Mickie. She sent videos and pictures all day long and we could tell Mickie was truly happy with them.”

“Renea and her son are absolutely amazing! I’ve left my dog with her twice now, and both times I’ve had complete peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. She is caring, attentive, and patient with him. She kept me updated throughout his stay, which I really appreciated, and I always felt reassured knowing he was happy and well taken care of. I’m so grateful I found Renea, we will definitely be using her again”

“Beth took excellent care of our ~14 year old diabetic dog while we went away for a long weekend and was able to give her twice daily insulin shots. Even better, she lives 2 blocks from us, making the whole thing super easy and convenient. I'm sure Piggy appreciated being at home in her own neighborhood. 14/10, would do again! Thank you Beth!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Seabrook
Estela was absolutely wonderful with Spot! From the very beginning, communication was super easy, and I received regular photo updates that completely put my mind at ease while I was away. Spot kept scratching at the door on the way home which tells me he happy, relaxed, and well-cared for. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with [Sitter's Name] again in the future!

Myesha was very responsive and provided pictures of Willow throughout her stay! She gave a detailed description upon pick up of everything she ate whether or not she pottied. Although I didn’t take her up on it, she also offered to give a tour of her place prior to boarding.I would recommend and will definitely use again!

Great experience! My Frenchie was clearly loved and well cared for during her stay. I received daily photos and updates, which was so reassuring and made it easy to see that she was happy and having a great time. She came home happy and relaxed. I really appreciate the wonderful care and communication, and I would definitely book with this sitter again!

I just wanted to share how delighted I am with the care Yemi provided for Skittles during her stay. From the very first photo Yemi sent, it was clear that Skittles was at ease and truly enjoying themself. Yemi and her family welcomed Skittles warmly, treating her just like a cherished member of their own family💕💕. It’s rare to find someone so passionate and loving, and every daily update and picture was a testament to the attention and affection they gave Skittles. There was one moment that stood out to me—after Skittles managed to sneak some snacks and ended up with an upset stomach😒, Yemi immediately whipped up a homemade meal to make Skittles feel better. At that point, I felt completely confident that Skittles was in excellent hands😊. As someone who also cares for pups on Rover, I’ve always hoped to find someone who would care for my dog with the same dedication and warmth that I give to visiting pups in my home. I’m thrilled to say that Yemi is that person! Knowing Skittles was loved and cared for while I was away brought me immense peace of mind. Yemi’s relaxed and attentive approach made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I’m so grateful to have found Yemi. Thank you again for everything!

Storm always has a great time. I love knowing that she settles right in like she’s at home. I know she loves spending time with Marissa and her Furbabies and can’t wait to go back! As long as we live in the area Storm will be delighted any chance she has to go back!

The nicest! Thank you!

Ilia is an outstanding sitter! She came over and bonded with Tofu prior to our travels. We were also fortunate that he got along well with her two dogs. She provided me with daily updates with pictures. Tofu made himself at home with Ilia and settled in pretty well by the first night. I strongly recommend Ilia to sit your fur baby. She's caring, attentive, communicative, and overall compassionate. I was comforted to know that my dog was in the greatest care in my absence. Thank you, Ilia!

Lily was so kind and accommodating. She took a last minute booking for my boy Kash. My first time booking with her and she was so professional, and kept me informed the entire trip. She was even able to keep him for an extra night when my trip was delayed, and dropped him off for me the next day. 10 out of 10, amazing dog sitter. Thanks Lily:)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Seabrook home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Seabrook.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Seabrook sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
