About: Hi, I’m Melanie! I am 30 years old and I have owned and taken care of 4 dogs, 8 cats, and 2 rabbits in my life; as well as helping family and friends with care/training for their animals! I love being around all kinds of animals, big and small. That being said, I know every pet has their own individual needs and I love being able to provide that for them (training, walks, specific toys, grooming, etc). I have no problem giving medication, being mindful of allergies, or helping with any other special needs your pet may have! I’m a very active person, so I don’t mind long walks with your fur baby!

Currently, I dog walk for the shelter as often as I can as part of their program. Ive also bottle fed rescue kittens and have much experience with baby animals, including wildlife! I am familiar with many species of animals and very passionate about their care. I’ve had rats, birds, ferrets, rabbits, cats, dogs and fish … just to name a few! **PLEASE READ** I do have 3 pet rabbits that a partially free roam. They are all in safe spaces & can be enclosured. They DO get along with other animals. I am available weekends, Saturday and Sunday, all day and weekdays Monday - Friday after 5pm! I do have a full time job but plenty of spare time for your pets care! I do have a fenced in yard but would love to actually walk your fur baby instead! I have beautiful parks near by with plenty of room to play!

About: I’ve always had a love for dogs and learning about different breeds. I’ve had dogs growing up and have always been comfortable around them especially big dogs. I have house sat before, done drop ins for friends and have done dog walking for my neighbors. I do work a majority during the day(M-S). But I am available on evenings(except for Thursdays). I’m off on Wednesdays, every other Saturday and Sundays Your dogs safety is my first priority. I will utilize a leash when needed, make sure the gate is always shut. Out on a walk I will make sure we stay on the sidewalk and keep distance from other people and dogs(I always say to set your dog up for success). I have experience with dogs of all ages — from energetic puppies who need structure and consistency to senior dogs who appreciate a slower pace and extra TLC. I’m comfortable with medication routines, reinforcing basic training, and adapting to each dog’s unique personality. Most importantly, I make sure each pup feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away, because they deserve nothing less. My goal is simple: to keep tails wagging and pet parents worry-free! I currently work a hybrid schedule (9–5) with three days in the office (Monday–Wednesday) and two days at home (Thursday–Friday), but my in-office days are flexible! On office days, I’m available for walks before and after work, as well as overnight boarding from 5:30 PM to 8 AM the next morning. When I’m working from home, I can offer walks throughout the day or full-day boarding. Weekends are completely open — I’m available Saturdays and Sundays for walks, drop-ins, or dog sitting at either my home or yours. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priority. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine, I make sure they have a calm, secure, and loving environment. I take the time to learn their routines, favorite spots, and any special needs so they feel comfortable and cared for. Walks are always done on leash, with plenty of water and breaks, and I never leave pets unattended outdoors. I also keep things tidy and make sure your home looks just as you left it. You can count on regular updates, photos, and lots of happy tails while you’re away!

About: I have owned two dogs and a cat in my 25 years of life and currently have two dog nephews. I have also owned two ferrets. I’ve dog sat many fur babies! I enjoy the responsibility of caring for my furry friends. There’s nothing I’m not up for. I am a full time grad student. I have free time in the evening and various days throughout the week. I am busy, but also available and ready to help where and when I’m needed. I am meticulous, and very passionate when it comes to animals. About: I grew up around and with dogs and absolutely adore them. From chihuahua’s to rottweilers I love them all! I was bit as a child so do have some fear when it comes to reactive dogs and would rather not sit for them. While my expertise is cats the more dogs I’ve sat the more comfortable I am. So not only am I helping you but you’re helping me :) My boyfriend and I both work 9-5 most days but can always stop by for checkins on our breaks. We sit together and work around our schedules to make time for the pets we care for. We have multiple cats as well as fish, frogs, and a lizard. We know how important routines are and do our best to keep your pet in their routine. We ask that your Rover profile is updated with all the information needed to care for your pet up to your standard. Some examples would be feeding and bathroom routines.

I make sure to follow all feeding schedules, potty routines, and special instructions provided by their owners. I never force interactions with other animals and always keep dogs safely supervised and leashed in shared outdoor areas. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same respect and care as my own. About: Family and friends have always trusted me with taking care of their pets because they know my love for animals and reliability/ flexibility in scheduling! I work normally work remote and have open availability on weekends! I can provide morning, afternoon, & evening care :) My availability is always updated each day/ week. About: I pay close attention to pets as I do children, treating each with love, respect, compassion, and empathy. Sometimes no words are needed, just a scratch under the chin, chest, head, or ears! Other times, fuzzy friends need to be told what a great gift from God they truly are. I love being sensitive to each creature's individual needs, and cherish the special bonds formed while owners entrust me with their forever family friends. Sometimes that means going the extra mile (literally) if furry friends feel like going for a jog, hike, or swim! Thunderstorms can be the worst for some, soft spoken words, songs, and snuggles are my specialty. If a kennel is preferred I’m in full agreeance. I have been animal/house sitting for over a decade and am grateful for each opportunity given to help and serve. I am a stay at home mom with two kids and two fur babies. On weekends, my husband, kiddos (fur babes included), and I spend time in the outdoors, hiking, picnics, walks etc. Our pets and those that we watch are considered family members, therefore have our constant attention, love, and affection! We have an adequate fenced in backyard space for pups to play and enjoy frequent visits to the park. With drop in, checking food and water are on the list along with potty outside, playing ball (or throwing stuffies/ frisbee 🥏) and rubs.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. Then when I was newly married I would watch friends and family's pets while they were away. I really enjoyed giving the pets attention and love like they were my own. I wanted both the owner and pet to not be stressed while away from each other but also have a good time! About: As a lifetime pet owner, until recently, I have owned dogs for all of my life, and I’ve gone above and beyond in the care of my pets and their needs. I had my last dog from when I was in 6th grade all the way until I was a Junior in college. Through this time, I watched him develop from a puppy to a senior dog with senior needs, including strenuous lifting and even diaper changes. I am willing to go to the same lengths when caring for your beloved pets! Throughout my life, I’ve also helped my friends care for their dogs and pets. I understand the bond between an owner and their pets, and the sacred nature of letting someone else take care of them, even for a short period of time. I am currently pursuing an online Master's Degree through SUNY Oswego, and I am relatively free for the time being. I could fit your care needs into any of my days.
