“We have been looking for a Rover for our GSD for quite sometime. We are so happy that we found Mary! She provided such loving and special care for our Kaia. Peace of mind that your dog is being loved and cared for while you are away is such a valuable thing to have. We simply cannot recommend Mary enough, we will definitely be going back to her again in the future!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life. Growing up with dogs, I quickly became in tune with their needs and can form a bond quickly! I go above and beyond to make every dog I meet feel loved and welcomed. I grew up with cats, dogs, and horses. I’m currently home with my little boy for the summer so my availability is virtually wide open! I’ll be able to provide walks, pets, and so much more. I have an outdoor kennel with a nice house in it if needed. Otherwise, I can provide a crate inside in a calm environment. My 2 dogs are around to play with your dog as well! If you’re worried about my dogs and your dog getting along, I can separate them-no problem.
About: I have walked dogs and have had dogs and cats of my own throughout my life, animals ranging from a 100+ pound German Shepard to a small cat. I love them all. During quarentine my friend and I also had our own little dog walking business around or neighbor. We had around 10 frequent clients who we would walk on a weekly basis, so I have had experience with many different dogs. I am here for your animals and excited to meet them! I am going to be working full time this summer and will be working night shifts. I can play with your animals in the morning and mid afternoon. I can also check on them after work. Weekends I will be available every other weekend. I will be able to tend to animals very early in the morning and a little after noon. I am hoping to spend more time with a variety of animals this summer at reasonable costs! I have a decent sized yard with large hedges around it. My mom loves animals so she is happy whenever we dog watch our neighbors dog. I get along with almost all dogs and cats.
“Amazing communication and my dogs LOVED it there. They were so tired when we got them home but yet so happy! 100% recommend! She even sent pictures through out our stay!”

About: I’ve owned and loved dogs all my life! I spent 5 years in the active duty military working and training dogs for various uses. I provide vast experience in caring for dogs of all temperaments and providing a safe environment for all needs. I currently only work one day a week at the moment so a lot of my time is spent at home working on things. While your pet is staying with me they will not be alone very much!! I also have my own dog Karma at home that can socialize or stay separate depending on you and your pups needs! I have many walking areas around me and a dog park, your pet will have plenty of time outside. I also have a female dog who loves to play with others if you’re worried about them getting lonely!

“This was my first time using Rover and Sara made everything so easy! She also helped us out in a pinch and made sure to keep us updated about the pups daily, which was above and beyond. One of my dogs has pretty bad anxiety and she seemed to warm up to Sara quickly! I will definitely be using her again.”

About: As a pet owner of 1 dog and two cats, I have hands-on experience catering to their unique needs. I take my dog on daily walks for exercise and play, while my cats enjoy a stimulating environment filled with toys and cozy spots. I understand their individual personalities, offering companionship and care tailored to each pet, ensuring they feel loved and secure while maintaining their routines. Juggling pet care with my theater commitments involves careful planning. I prioritize morning walks for my dog and use breaks in my schedule to spend quality time with my cats. By maintaining a structured routine, I ensure my pets receive the love and attention they deserve while I pursue my passion for theater. I have a really big backyard and a long leash. I really love taking care of pets. I’ve always loved animals since I could remember.
“Our senior dog was comfortable and content. We appreciated how Karlee was flexible with our pick up time when we weren’t sure when our weekend tournament would end. We would love to use her again!”

“Loved working with Ashley, she always kept me up to date on how my dogs were doing, she took the time to understand the needs of each of them personally. She had an amazing set up in her garage so each dog had their personally space. Wonderful fenced in yard for them to be safe while having a place to have fun. Definitely would book with Ashley again.”

“Natalie and her family did such a great job with our dogs. They had plenty of playtime outdoors and indoors. Lots of love and attention was given. We got picture updates which put our minds at ease. Our dogs enjoyed their stay and will definitely be using Natalie in the future 😃”

About: We have had our own dog for 7 years and have taken care of other family members dogs while they are away! We love have another pet in the home that we can interact with by playing fetch, going for walks, belly rubs, snuggles, and extra treat giving. Our beagle loves playing with other dogs as well! In the summer I am off so I am home daily. During the school year, I am at work Monday through Friday 7-4 and home on the weekends. We don’t have a fenced in backyard, but have an invisible fence for our dog. When watching other dogs we make sure we are outside with them so they don’t run off. When gone, we gate our dog in the kitchen area that has her bed along with food and water. Don’t need to be crate trained.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sartell
Kajae and Emily were fantastic with my 7 year old husky. He got along well with their sweet and energetic dog Sage, and they treated him like family. He got cuddles, pets, yummy treats, and got to sleep with people like he is used to. He went on walks and got all handsome for some 4th of July photos :-) The photos and updates on him during his stay were wonderful. Their communication, flexibility, and overall attitude were great! Will definitely be hoping to have my fur baby visit in the future. Highly recommend.

Amanda is amazing and took such great care of my dog, Marla. We took a two week trip and I had absolutely no reservations about leaving Marla with her. She sent pictures, was very communicative and treated Marla like her own. Will absolutely use her in the future and recommend her to anyone!

Nicole took incredible care of our dog Maasy while we were away in Europe for our wedding, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She kept us updated with photos and messages that made it easy to relax and enjoy our trip knowing Maasy was in great hands. Everything was smooth, including coordinating pickup with our family, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, Maasy came home happy and so clearly well loved. We are so grateful - we highly, highly recommend Nicole.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
