“While conducting the meet and greet, Mariah was studious in her note-taking of the usual care of my cat, and seemed to understand cats. This was put into action while we were gone, as I was left detailed rover-cards describing how Freyja was, and the condition of her various resources when Mariah visited. We will definitely look at rebooking for our next trip!”

About: Hello! I’m a dog lover and behavior-focused pet caregiver who believes every dog deserves to spend their time being themselves, feeling comfortable, and having fun! 🐶 3+ years of professional experience working with dogs in daycare & boarding settings 🏡 Experienced with a wide variety of breeds, personalities, energy levels, and behavior needs. 🐾 I have dogs of my own, so I understand that every dog is an individual and should be treated like family 🧠 Currently studying dog behavior and training and always learning more 👀 Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior, including recognizing signs of stress, discomfort, excitement, and relaxation 💕 I let your dog lead the way — whether they want to play, sniff, explore, cuddle, relax, or simply have some quiet time 🌿 I believe dogs should have choices whenever safely possible rather than being pushed into activities they aren’t comfortable with 🚫 Fear, pain, and intimidation have no place in my care. I use gentle, positive, and respectful handling with every pet My goal is simple: your dog gets to have a staycation that feels like it was made just for them. 🐾 I’m an online student and a freelancer, so I make my own schedule and I’ll have plenty of time for your furry friend! No need to worry about any schedule restrictions. Safety & well-being always come first — I closely monitor your dog, make sure their physical and emotional needs are met, and give them choices while keeping their safety a priority. I follow any and all instructions to a T and will always keep a close eye on your fur baby.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals. I grew up on a farm, caring for dogs, cats, cattle, and other animals, so I'm comfortable with pets of all sizes and personalities. As a Health and Physical Education teacher, I'm active, patient, dependable, and have summers off, allowing me to provide flexible care and plenty of exercise for your pets. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or just extra attention, I'll treat them like they're my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I'm a Health and Physical Education teacher with summers off, giving me plenty of time to care for your pets! I love staying active, spending time outdoors, and giving animals the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. I believe every pet deserves to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owner is away. In your home, I'll follow your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of affection. I'll also respect your home by keeping it clean, secure, and treating it with the same care I would my own. I understand that every pet is unique, so I'm happy to adapt to their individual needs and personality to ensure they have a fun, stress-free experience.
“We were so thankful to have found a caring and professional pet sitter when we went on a trip. Amber has great attention to detail and gives updates so that you can have peace of mind knowing your fur babies are happy when you are away. You can trust your pets will be in great care with Amber!”
About: I have grown up with dogs and many other pets since birth. We used to raise dogs, now we have two medium sized dogs. I love animals and I hope to have a career where I can continue that passion. Just graduated from high school May 2025, and I have a schedule allowing me to be able to continue caring for animals and to continue this passion of mine! I have two medium family dogs and they are very important, special members of the family. I treat every single pet with care and respect.
About: I have cared and loved many animals. I grew up on and around farms so I have worked with horses, cows, wolves, cats, dogs, ducks, and chickens. I have had a Great Dane that I had rescued from an abusive home. I am currently working full time M-F 7am to 530pm. I can work evenings and weekends. Soon I would like to work with animals full time instead of at my current job. My desire is to work the hours that pet owners need me when I start to build clientele. When I get enough clients my hopes are to extend to the business hours and do that full time. I do not want to quit my full time hours until I am able to help enough pets and their owners. I would love to care for pets by being able to take them outside of their homes for play by themselves or to a dog park. I would love for the pets to be able to be in the environment that works best for them. Some dogs do great in public with other dog or cat friends, while others may not enjoy that much stimulation. I would like to get to know the animal to find out the best fit for them. I would also like the pet parents to let me know what they feel is best for their fur baby. The enjoyment of the pets life is what I want to focus on so they can have the best care. I feel I would like to talk with the animal owner to see what environment works best for their animal.

During my days off I can hang out for most of the day, go for a walk, playtime, pets! I am great at following directions left for me and not afraid to ask questions if I’m confused! I’m able to do separate feedings for multiple dogs, raw diets, late or early walks/cares if needed. I’m flexible!

“Danielle was amazing with my two mini dachshunds, Max and Romeo, over the Fourth of July weekend! She was patient, kind, and kept me updated with messages, photos, and even videos throughout each visit. Romeo can be shy at first and Max can be a handful, but she handled both of them with calm energy and humor. She followed all my care instructions perfectly, cleaned up accidents without hesitation, and made sure the boys were happy and comfortable. I really appreciated her communication and how much she cared about their well‑being. I’d absolutely book Danielle again — she’s reliable, attentive, and great with dogs who have big personalities!”

Olivia is amazing! She stepped in and helped us out when our scheduled dog sitter had to cancel with short notice due to a funeral. She met all my floofy goofs needs and went above and beyond to make sure they got affection, stimulation, and bathroom breaks during her drop in visits. She sent lots of pictures and clear and detailed reports. I look forward to rebooking with her in the future!

Would 100% use Kenna again! It was a last minute booking and she didn’t even get the chance to meet my pups before I left but I sent her a video of everything she needed and she took great care of them with no issues! She even brought my frenchie on a couple walks! Great sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
