About: I have over 10 years of experience with dog sitting, helping family and friends’ dogs. I have two dogs myself, a pug and a terrier mixed. They are both well behaved and trained, they love having friends over. I do work on the weekdays, but weekends are usually free with the dogs and kids at home. We love to take them for a long walk around the neighborhood. I have a fenced in backyard and front yard, my dogs love it. It will be great for many more friends to join during the weekends.

We are happy to have found Shelli to care for our senior dog Harold. Shelli was very patient and kind with him when we left him for his first visit. He seemed very calm and happy when we picked him up. We feel confident that Harold will be well cared for by Shelli and her family when we leave him to go out of town .

Tiantian is great. She is so knowledgeable about dogs. She has given us a lot of great tips. On one occasion when I dropped off our dog she noticed a wound he got when I took him to a dog park the day prior. She dressed his wound for us. She is awesome :)

Sara saved our trip! We were camping in the area and planned a day out at the Channel Islands NP (not dog-friendly). Our original doggy sitter canceled on us two days before and we scrambled to find someone last minute. It was a blessing in disguise. Sara is the absolute sweetest! Communication was excellent. She updated us throughout the day with photos and kept our girl busy with playtime, a walk, and a hike. She was able to administer medication too. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you, Sara!

About: We are a pet-centered family. Fur babies have been at the heart of our home for over 20 years. We've rescued dogs and cats across various stages of life, some with special needs, and loved them well into their senior years. We provide personalized care, tailored to the specific needs of your pet. Whether it's adhering to the dietary requirements of their meals, administering medication, or modifying walks and play to accommodate any physical limitations or developmental needs. We’re conveniently located near 101, making for an easy drop off and pickup. Animals of all types tend to gravitate to me. I'm patient and playful. If they just need a calm presence to cuddle with or a buddy to play fetch and get their zoomies out, I adapt to the needs of your pet. Our home is filled to the brim with a love for pets and their care. My wife leads a community for pet parents and my daughter is a future vet who makes every animal she meets her best friend and desires to rescue as many she can. I'm a retired engineer and my wife works from home. Pets are family and our schedules are adjusted accordingly to ensure they are not alone. I love nature and giving pets the opportunity to relax and play where they feel the most comfortable. We can walk the park grounds right outside our door, relax on the deck, or snuggle on the couch. We can also hop in the Jeep and go exploring if they prefer. Every pet is different and my goal is to always meet them right where they are.

About: I have over a decade of pet-sitting all different types of dogs. I like to think of myself as a dog whisperer because I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, needs, and comfort level. I always try to understand the pets in my care and make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy. I am very passionate about pups, and making them happy truly makes me happy. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention they may need. 🫶🏽 am currently a full-time student, but I am on summer break, so I have a very flexible schedule and spend a lot of time at home. I enjoy spending my days hanging out with my own pup and going on long daily walks. Since I am home often, I am able to give pets plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. My home is very dog-friendly, calm, and welcoming. I have one dog, and she is incredibly sweet, friendly, and used to being around other pups. She does not mind sharing the couch, the backyard, or her space. I want every dog in my care to feel comfortable, safe, and at home.

About: About our home & pack Hi, we’re Elise and Brad :) … dogs are our kids, and we keep things small so every pup gets real attention. We’re at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Ventura on an ~8,500 sq ft lot with a fully fenced yard --great for zoomies, fetch, and potty breaks. Brad and I own the house and rent bedrooms to long-term roommates — all of whom are working professionals in their thirties who love dogs. One of our roommates works from home and so our adult household means someone responsible is home 24/7, so pups are pretty much never left home alone. Our resident doodles are friendly, well-mannered playmates: • Joey (2yo 15 lb cockapoo): shy, sweet, loves chase games. He’s my soul dog. • Mia (1yo 50 lb goldendoodle): playful, social, and very protective of smaller dogs. She’s got sweet, protective mama energy. Safety & setup • Fully-fenced yard with easy, frequent potty access (sliding door open when we’re home). • We do have a pool, but it’s off-limits unless supervised. A retractable fence blocks access when needed, and there’s a surface alarm as a backup. • Dogs can be separated for meals or decompression anytime; we have plenty of space. Experience, seniors & care style Between Brad and I, we have 32 years of combined dog-owning experience (not counting caring for family pets as kids)… we’re lifelong poodle/doodle people. Brad handles our pups’ grooming at home (baths, trims, nails, ears), so just know we are big dog-people and super attentive. We’re very familiar with caring for dogs of all ages, including seniors who may need assistance. We also have plenty of experience with disabilities; one of our poodles became a tripod due to cancer… and we cherished him even more when that happened. A typical day Morning potty and light play in the fenced yard, breakfast per your schedule. Seniors get shorter, sniffy walks and extra nap time; playful guests get more fetch and yard time. With permission, we add a safe neighborhood walk. Dinner, wind-down, and cozy sleep in our bedroom with us. Dogs are allowed on our furniture if that’s your style also. You’ll get daily photo updates so you’re never guessing. Good fit & requirements Friendly, house-trained dogs with no aggression history. Small–medium pups are our sweet spot; larger gentle dogs considered case-by-case. Seniors are absolutely welcome. Please have rabies vaccine and flea/tick prevention up to date, and bring food, leash/harness, meds, and a familiar bed/blanket. Logistics & options We’re flexible on pickup/drop-off—share your window. Meet & greets welcome. Optional extras upon request: extra neighborhood walk, beach trip to C street, light bath/brush, simple swim lessons (accompanied swim to find the steps and get out) - Morning: breakfast, walk and/or potty in yard, then set up indoors in a comfy area to rest - Mid-day potty break in the yard (our roommate who works from home takes care of!) - ~3p-ish - another roommate comes home so it's time for another potty break, lunch/snack and playtime - 5ish - Brad and I get home so it's playtime, dinner, treats, cuddles, walk or yard potty, and bed Dogs are our kids and we treat them as the treasures that they are. Our yard is fully-fenced in and front door/gate is always closed. We live at the end of a safe cul de sac on the east end of town where the sun usually shines. Pool is off-limits unless we are right there — it’s cordoned off with a retractable fence as needed plus a surface alarm (Bcone) as a backup. We also offer optional "find the steps" swim lessons, if that's of interest. :)

We were very happy with Hersh and his care for our small dog Sophie. Sophie was calm and relaxed when we picker her up unlike a previous stay at a kennel for small dogs. Hersh sent us a picture of Sophie relaxing on the couch and I could tell she was enjoying herself and was content. Good job. We would definitely use Hersh again if we are traveling in the area.

About: I’ve had dogs since I was about 10. I took care of my doggies as a little girl as well as an adult, (feed, train, love, bathe). They were a sweet part of my family. I’ve also had a couple cats and birds to love on as well. I’m currently a stay at home momma so I have extra time to walk and play with your fur baby. My family loves dogs and kitties but we don’t have one of our own yet. So the opportunity to love and care for your doggie and/or kitty makes us so happy. Just having your furry at home with us and living life with us is so exciting. We have a couple beautiful nature walks that we would love to walk them on and a fun dog park about 5 min from our house. We also would be open to and love to care for your hamster, guinea pig, bird, snake, etc. Message me for prices on those types of animals.

About: We’re a dog-loving household based who recently relocated to Ventura, we settled into a cozy ground-floor one-bedroom in a super walkable neighborhood near the college—perfect for easy strolls and outdoor time. At home, we offer a safe, calm environment with lots of love, playtime, and structure. For care in your home, we’re attentive to your pet’s established routine and preferences, and can provide reliable visits throughout the day and week. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine. I work from home most of the week, so I’m around for regular walks, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. We build our daily schedule around making sure our guests get plenty of exercise, attention, and engagement. About: I’ve had pets almost my entire life and can’t imagine a home without at least 20 extra legs romping around! I love caring for pets of all kinds—dogs and cats, whether they’re easygoing or have extra needs. I’m calm, attentive, and tuned in to their routines, comfort, and subtle cues. I also have experience with more complex situations, like fostering pregnant dogs (including one on strict bed rest with a broken leg) and supporting her and her puppies through pneumonia. I’ve provided breathing treatments, assisted with chest therapy, bottle-fed sick puppies, and administered medications when needed. Beyond that, I’ve raised puppies with and without their moms, hospice-fostered senior dogs, regularly dog- and cat-sat for friends, and fostered kittens and cats. I treat every pet as if they were my own, so you can trust they’ll be safe, happy, and truly cared for. Pet care is already woven into my daily life. I currently have two cats and three dogs, so feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and engagement are a consistent part of my routine. I’m home regularly throughout the day to provide meals, companionship, and attentive care, rather than fitting pets in around long absences. Because my household already revolves around animal care, welcoming additional pets into my space doesn’t disrupt my routine—it simply means adding more friends to it. I’m thoughtful about maintaining structure, ensuring everyone gets individual attention, and keeping the environment calm, safe, and comfortable. Your pet will be cared for as part of a well-established, loving routine, not treated like an afterthought. I tailor care to each pet’s individual needs and preferences to create a calm, low-stress environment. I’m attentive and proactive about supervision, and if any concerns arise, pets are calmly and safely separated. I have experience managing mixed households and ensuring all animals have their own safe spaces. My home includes a fully fenced, secure backyard that is always closed and locked for safe outdoor time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I closely follow their routines to maintain comfort and consistency. Above all, my priority is that every pet feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.
