Ernie had a blast meeting her corgis as well as the other dogs whom she was dog sitting that week. He paws-itively loved being part of her pack! I'm currently looking for part-time dog walking, dog boarding, and drop-in visits that work well with my graduate school schedule. I've loved animals my whole life and began volunteering with Ventura County Animal Services as soon as I turned 18, where I volunteered for about three years. I also started pet sitting in 2019 and have experience with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight house and pet sitting, and boarding dogs in my home. I have two female Labradoodles and two cats, so any dogs staying in my home must be friendly with both dogs and cats. I'm comfortable caring for pets overnight and always strive to make them feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away! Pet care is a regular part of my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule while I’m in graduate school, so I’m available for daytime and overnight boarding any day of the week, as well as dog walking and drop-in visits. Since I have pets of my own, caring for animals is already a big part of my everyday life, and I enjoy making sure every pet gets the attention, exercise, and love they need while their owners are away. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My two Labradoodles are indoor dogs, but they have access to a large, securely fenced yard where I let them out throughout the day to run, play, and get plenty of exercise. I don’t have a doggie door because my two cats are indoor-only, so all outdoor time is supervised. My dogs are very friendly and love meeting new dog friends, and my cats are comfortable around dogs, so I only board pets that are friendly with both dogs and cats. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. At night, my pets have their own comfortable sleeping routines. My older Labradoodle sleeps with my parents, and my younger Labradoodle sleeps with me. Any dog boarding in my home is welcome to sleep in my room if that helps them feel more comfortable, or I’m happy to follow whatever routine works best for them and their owner, such as sleeping in a crate or their own designated sleeping space.

I love big dogs as I have had lifelong friendships/experience with many Rottweilers and an entire littler of Labradors who are now Seniors. When I was caring for the dogs on the farm, two Rottweilers came as puppies while I was caring for another who was middle to eventually Senior. I would give the Senior medicine. And eventually one of the puppies grew up and got sick and needed medicine too. I believe the Rottweiler is my spirit animal for they always magically show up in my life. <3 My current dog is a big German Shepherd Cattle dog mix, sweetie girl. She is two years old and acts like a big puppy. She is curious with high energy. She is very cute and smart so she tries to test limits, but overall thrives to be a good girl. It makes me proud when I get positive feedback from those that meet her. I am currently working part time as well as studying which allows me to very easily fit in pet care every day in my routine. I am currently unable to share my home for boarding care. I’d be happy to care for them if they need someone present for overnight stays.
About: I’ve always loved animals and had dogs my entire life. I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family over the years but I never have done Rover. I am excited to start and meet some great pups! I love all dogs and am happy to care of them whatever needs they may have. I definitely make time for play time, walks, and potty breaks. We reached out for a last-minute dog sitter over the holidays for our 8-year-old small terrier mix, Zazu. Zazu can be a little bossy and defensive with other dogs, which we gave them a heads up about since they have a big dog at home. Julie and Scott did an AMAZING job integrating Zazu into their home life and making her feel comfortable with them and their sweet dog, Snacks. They sent lots of wonderful photos, videos, and updates - including videos of Zazu playing happily with Snacks! Julie and Scott are both so friendly and warm, it's no surprise that Zazu felt comfortable with them immediately. They took her on many walks and let her cuddle with them in bed to sleep at night.
