“It's wonderful to have found a pet sitter who cares for my pets like family! Logan creates a familiar and comfortable environment that can significantly reduce anxiety in pets, and regular feeding routines help maintain their weight. This is the first time I went out of town and my dog didn't lose weight. Logan sent me photos everyday which made me happy. I will definitely use Jordan as a pet sitter again. Highly recommended!”

“I really appreciate Emma taking care of our two dogs while we were traveling for business. The dogs were well taken care of. It was nice to receive a few updates and pictures while we were away.”

“My fur babies absolutely loved her! It’s such a relief to find someone they bonded with so quickly. She kept me updated and I came home to very happy pets. Highly recommend!”

“Tania was a great dog sitter! She provided plenty of updates/pictures of the dogs! She watched my two Great Danes and left the house so tidy! I would hire her again, and y’all should too.”

“Ren took great care of our house and Jake, our dog, while away for a long 4 day weekend. She sent updates and pictures, daily. I would highly recommend her and hope to be able to have her help again. Thank you, Ren!”

“We LOVE Alexis! We’ve used her services many times and recommend her to all of our friends. Our dogs and cat are so well take of. We always get lots of updates and pictures and our babies are so excited to see her every time. 11/10 recommend”

“This was the 1st time in a long time to be away from our 3 kids. Ashley was great. She send pictures of our fur babies and made sure they were taken care of. The acid test was when we returned. Betty did not want Ashley to leave! Looking forward to having her for our next outing.”

About: Hello! My name is Hannah, I am 26 years old. I have several years of pet experience with both dogs and cats alike! I have personally owned pets my entire life. I have rescued, cared for, and owned more pets than you could imagine. My high school provided veterinary assistant courses that I attended for all 4 years. I have experience with dogs who have medical issues and many different physical activity requirements. My current job allows for me to have complete schedule flexibility! I am available full time for your pets! There is not one job too big or small. I care for 5 pets daily! My household holds 4 cats and 1 big dog. Medication management, physical activity, personal attention and feeding schedules are all apart of my daily routine. I have a large fenced in back yard that my dog enjoys several times a day! I have several toys and gadgets for great enrichment time and comfortable sleeping beds and blankets when it’s time to relax.
“Marin was so amazing with our two girls. She was responsive and sent pictures daily. Our two golden-doodles are not old so no special care necessarily but they are very needy. When we got home the house looked perfect and most importantly our two girls were so happy. That tells me she did a good job because sometimes they will act a little mad at us for leaving them. We will def. ask her again if we need to leave Phoebe and Ellie. Thanks Marin you’re amazing!”

“Kim did an exemplary job taking care of multiple animals. One of which is an aggressive dog. By the end of our vacation, he was comfortable with and happy to see her. Kim will have my business for as long as she wants.”

About: I have a 3 year-old Toy Poodle she’s a female. Her name is Darla. She is spayed. I adore all animals, especially dogs. I take Darla out for walks twice a day and I love walking them and caring for them. Darla is very playful and loves to play with dogs of all sizes, but if your dog is not in the mood to play, she will sense that and leave them alone. I will treat your fur baby as if it was was my own and part of my family! 🐶😻 I absolutely adore pets. Especially have a fondness for dogs. If I take care of your loved one it definitely fits into my daily or my weekly routine. I would care for your very loved one as if it were my own pet. I would follow the instructions for your particular pet because I know how important it is that the client feels their pet is safe and with a trusted person.
“Great Sitter🙏 We had a great experience with our dog sitter! She stayed overnight and was incredibly responsive, proactive, and dependable. She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent us enough updates to know our dogs were doing well without us ever having to worry. It honestly made being away a lot easier knowing they were in good hands. She took the time to make sure everything was taken care of and went above and beyond what we expected. We really appreciated how reliable and communicative she was and would absolutely have her watch our dogs again. Highly recommend!”

I will always make sure they are okay and comfortable with anything. I’ll make sure collars and leashes are on properly so they don’t get hurt.

About: I have watched animals since I was younger whether it was my own pets or someone else’s. I have watched many of my family and friends animals and they have recommended me to their friends. I currently am a student-athlete at the University of North Texas, but I still have free time to be able to care and play with your animals! I am usually more available in the evenings and most weekends all day. I’m very attentive to their routines. I am able to take your pet outside to use the bathroom. I am able to crate your pet if needed. I’m also happy to follow specific feeding, medication, or bedtime routines so your pet can stay as comfortable as possible. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Alexa! From the moment we left, Alexa gave us total peace of mind. She sent frequent updates and adorable photos that made it clear our dogs were not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and relaxed. Being able to see them comfortable and having fun allowed us to truly enjoy our trip without any stress. Alexa spent so much quality time with them, showed real care and attention, and treated them like her own. It’s obvious she loves animals and takes her role seriously. Coming home to happy, calm pups was the biggest sign that they were in excellent hands. If you’re looking for a reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring sitter, Alexa is the one. We would absolutely book with her again and recommend her without hesitation!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sanger walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sanger maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sanger choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
