“My fur babies absolutely loved her! It’s such a relief to find someone they bonded with so quickly. She kept me updated and I came home to very happy pets. Highly recommend!”

“Kim did an exemplary job taking care of multiple animals. One of which is an aggressive dog. By the end of our vacation, he was comfortable with and happy to see her. Kim will have my business for as long as she wants.”

“Torrie was absolutely exceptional in watching our fur babies, and she took good care of our house too. She made sure our girls felt so loved and just like her own. We definitely would like her to sit for us in the future.”

“Finding Addison was truly a blessing. Our original pet sitting plans fell through at the very last minute, and I was so fortunate to find her when I did. From the moment I met her, I just had a great feeling. She has such a kind, calming personality, and all of my dogs immediately took to her—which never happens! They’re usually very reserved with new people and take time to warm up, but with Addison it was instant. That alone gave me so much confidence. Throughout our trip, Addison kept me updated every single day without me ever having to ask. She sent photos, shared what the dogs and cats were up to, and made me feel like I was right there with them. She followed every instruction perfectly and honestly went above and beyond in so many ways. One of the sweetest surprises was coming home to little things she had done around the house that I never asked her to do. She even emptied the dishwasher and put all the dishes away. When I thanked her, she said her mom always taught her that after a trip, people should come home to a clean house so they can truly relax. That really touched me. Kudos to Addison—and to her mom—for raising such an incredible young woman. The greatest gift she gave me was peace of mind. Knowing my dogs and cats were loved, cared for, and genuinely enjoying their time with her allowed me to fully enjoy my vacation without worrying about them. That’s priceless. I already have another trip planned, and Addison will absolutely be my first choice. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She exceeded every expectation, and I am beyond grateful to have found her.”

“Tania was so nice, trustworthy and on time. She communicates great. She sent updates and pictures while we were gone. She’s a very nice person and I definitely will be using her again.”

“Logan is wonderful! She took such great care of my 3 dogs! While away Logan sent me pictures and communicated with us the entire time. I will definitely be booking Logan to stay with my girls again?. Thank you Logan!!”

“Amy was fantastic with our pups. When we got home we could tell they were well cared for and the house was clean too! She stayed with them the whole time and kept them on their regular routine. This set our mind at ease since our last three sitters we chose were barely with our pups and had them in their crates for 12-14 hours at a time every day we were gone. Amy is a Godsend and we hope she is available anytime we need to leave town moving forward!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and I love meeting new dogs and their owners. I currently have 3 of my own fur babies. I had my first job at 16 working as a kennel tech at a veterinarian office. I have since worked for several doggy daycare/boarding facilities in California and here in the Dallas area. I am CPR certified for dogs of all sizes. I have experience administering medications including eye, ear, oral and insulin. I have experience handling small and large dog breeds of all ages. I am comfortable and very patient with elderly fur babies as well as puppies as I have had many of both myself. I work part time in retail so I have plenty of time during the day/night to drop in for a visit or stay the night with your dog/s. I will share my work schedule with you for the time you are looking for a sitter so you that know when to expect me at your home. Your dogs safety and comfort is my primary goal when I stay/visit at your home. I make sure they have ample fresh, clean water, I wash their food bowl daily, I clean up messes and pick up poop in the yard. My goal is to make your dog/s as comfortable and happy as possible while you are away.
“Absolutely loved having June watch our dog she took such good care of Molly and went above and beyond!! She’s so kind and loving and I could tell really loves animals! She stayed at our place with Molly and left the house cleaner than we even left it! Absolutely would recommend and couldn’t love her more!!”

“Madi was absolutely wonderful! This was our first time ever using a pet-sitting service, and she made the entire experience easy and stress-free. She was communicative, respectful of our home, and clearly cared for our pups like they were her own. We really appreciated the updates and how comfortable she made us feel while we were away over MLK weekend. She is incredibly sweet, responsible, and trustworthy. We would happily use her again in the future and definitely recommend her to anyone looking for great care for their pets and home!”

“It had always been a challenge to have reliable and available sitters for Max until we discovered Rover. Louann is great and always keeps us up to date. Thanks again for a great experience, Louann!”

“Jessica was absolutely amazing!! She sent us updates multiple times a day and has amazing communication. It helped us relax on vacay knowing she was taking such good care of our babies. Im recommending her to everyone I know that will be going out of town. Thank you so much Jessica ur the best!!!”

“Isabell did such an amazing job watching our two dogs. She was super communicative, proactive and was even nice enough to help us out with an extra morning drop in due to our evening flight being canceled, which delayed us from getting back to our pups in the evening as intended. We truly appreciate how attentive and caring she was, and will definitely book again.”

About: Hi! My name is Lex, and I've been pet sitting since I was 19 years old. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet's personality. I've been lucky enough to have some of the same clients for over three years, which means a lot to me because it shows the trust we've built. I've also volunteered working with animals, so I'm comfortable with all kinds of pets, different temperaments, and different care needs. Big dogs, little dogs, cats, senior pets, shy pets, energetic pets—it doesn't matter to me. I honestly love them all! I'm currently in nursing school, so being responsible, patient, and paying attention to the little details comes naturally to me. Right now, I have a flexible schedule and open availability, so I'm happy to work around what you and your pet need. I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone else, so I always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'll treat your pets like they're my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and affection. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because it's something I genuinely enjoy. I'm currently in nursing school, which gives me a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feedings, or just keeping pets company. I plan my day around the pets I'm caring for to make sure they get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. I always try to keep pets on the routine they're already used to because I know that helps them feel the most comfortable. Whether I'm in my home or yours, I'll follow their feeding schedule, make sure they always have fresh water, give them plenty of playtime, walks, or cuddles (depending on what they enjoy), and make sure they get lots of attention. I'm happy to give medications if needed, clean litter boxes, pick up after dogs, and keep everything clean and tidy. I also like to send photo and video updates because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and as stress-free as possible until you're back home.
About: I have experience caring for cats and dogs and truly enjoy spending time with them. I help with feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping pets on their usual routines so they feel comfortable and at ease. I follow care instructions closely and pay attention to each pet’s personality and energy level, making sure they get the attention and care they need. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I currently work from home, which gives me flexibility during the day for drop-in visits and check-ins. I’m fully available after 4:30 on weekdays. I’m also fully available on weekends, so I can offer complete care during Saturday and Sunday. I follow care instructions closely, keep homes tidy, and make sure pets feel safe, calm, and well cared for. I’m respectful of your space and will always communicate updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life, I fostered 12 puppies a couple years ago and have always had at least 3 dogs. My dream career is to be a Veterinarian and own a non-profit animal rescue. My friends have trusted me to come by and care of their dogs when away on vacation, but this would be my first time pet-sitting for Rover! SIDE NOTE (PLEASE READ): I will not be walking any dogs in 95+ degree weather without some sort of protection for their little paws. Protection and comfort is top priority!! I wish I had more photos but I tend to focus more on the animals than to get my phone out and take photos prior to Rover so my collection is small but i’ll be adding to it!) I do have a part-time job but it’s very flexible, and I will be able to adjust to your needs and personal schedules. I can assure any potential pet owners who are interested in my care for your dog or cat that they will be prioritized. I will not be doing any pet-sitting at my own house because I do own a reactive dog and one who’s a bit older, but they have a fenced yard with water accessible 24/7, home-cooked rice and chicken twice a week (they’re spoiled) a friends ranch nearby they go to for running and walks, and a toy box with all the toys they could dream of.
“If I could give Casandra 100 stars I would! She took excellent care of my dogs while I was away for the weekend! She provided so many videos and pictures to give me peace of mind while I was gone and I knew they felt loved by her! She truly treated them like they were her own!! I will definitely be reaching out to her for future care as well as recommending her services to everyone I know!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pilot Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pilot Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pilot Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pilot Point. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
