I understand that cats can have very different personalities. Some are ready to be your best friend the second you walk through the door, while others would prefer to observe you from a safe distance for a while. I’m comfortable with both. About: I grew up with one dog in my house and have house/pet sit for family and friends. When I was getting my degree I worked at PetSmart in the Doggie Day Care. I’m a teacher and home more in the summer! I’m a teacher and usually leave my house by 7:30 am and return no later than 4:45 pm. Growing up my family’s dog’s routine was to be walked and fed twice a day. When it was hot outside the routine changed with him having a bathroom break and then walked later that evening. I have also volunteered at animal shelters for a total of five years, where I learned a lot about how to care for various ages and breeds of dogs. About: Most of my pet-care experience comes from being a pet owner, along with helping family and friends with their dogs when they needed someone they could trust. I’ve cared for dogs with anxiety and stranger-danger issues, including two dogs who needed a little extra patience and time to become comfortable with me. That experience taught me that not every dog is going to immediately run up and say hello—and that’s okay. I don’t force interaction or expect every pet to warm up on my timeline. I let them set the pace. I’m comfortable following a pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and whatever little routines make them feel comfortable and secure. I’m also very big on communication with their people, because I know how much easier it is to relax when you know your pet is doing okay. What probably sets me apart most is that I’m not looking at this as simply stopping by to complete a list of tasks. I genuinely care about how the pet is feeling while their person is away. My goal is for them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for—and for you to feel like you left them with someone you can trust. About: I started doing this because I wanted people to have someone they can trust with their furry family members. I love this work and prioritize pet care above all else. There are home photos available on my profile if you are looking into boarding. I am also very understanding of pets that need time to get comfortable and adjust. I’m very good at making fast friends with timid pets by giving them a little bit of space but letting them quickly see i am a friend. Currently, my schedule is completely open and I am only doing pet care. I like to stay on the let’s schedule, if they have one. I have a large back yard and live in a beautiful, safe, small neighborhood that’s great for walks. No main roads. Safely is my top priority. I never miss a medication schedule, I’m fast with doors, great with leash control, and on walks I am prepared for if we’re to ever encounter a dog attack (which has only happened once in my 13 years, and the dogs were all okay). But I do not mess around when it comes to the comfort and safety of the animals in my care. When boarding, there will be nothing a can dog can reach to each, all cabinets / chemicals / food are out of reach for pets of sizes and levels of intelligence lol… my sister I lived with has a very mischievous and smart labradoodle so we learned allllll the tricks.

About: I’ve owned pets my whole life, I fostered 12 puppies a couple years ago and have always had at least 3 dogs. My dream career is to be a Veterinarian and own a non-profit animal rescue. My friends have trusted me to come by and care of their dogs when away on vacation, but this would be my first time pet-sitting for Rover!
