About: I grew up with one dog in my house and have house/pet sit for family and friends. When I was getting my degree I worked at PetSmart in the Doggie Day Care. I’m a teacher and home more in the summer! I’m a teacher and will be home the majority of the day during the summer! Growing up my family dog’s routine was walks twice a day, feed twice a day, and given medication. I have a fenced in yard for your dog(s) to run around, sidewalks in my neighborhood to walk, and room to crate your dog(s) if thats what they need to feel comfortable. I currently don’t have a dog so they would have all the pets and snuggles!

“Thank you, Sherry! I can tell that our boys had another wonderful and fun time with you and Sage today. Thank you for sending all the updates, photos, and video, we always look forward to receiving them! Our boys look forward to the next visit!”

“Thank you, Sruthi! Zamin loved both her days with you. I really appreciated how she kept me up to date with messages and videos. Especially when she sent videos of Zamin playing with other pups. Excellent communication; she replies within minutes. This really helped me be comfortable and not anxious.”

“Millie had the best time with Brad and Trevor! Such a nice family, will absolutely get back in touch next time I’m in town! Sent me updated and pictures everyday which was very sweet.”

About: I would love the opportunity to care for your pet! I have a very welcoming and fun-loving personality that has never met an animal personality that didn't mesh. I have 15 years of experience with dogs and 12 years of experience with cats. I have raised several puppies and kittens and cared for elder dogs and cats as well. Caring for animals is my passion and I thank you for the time with your pet. I have a flexible work schedule, so my flexibility is a bonus when it comes to pet care! I offer dog walks, cat or dog drop-in house visits, over night house sitting, and doggy day care. When you book with me, you have the comfort knowing that all my care and attention is on your dog since I only accept 1-2 dogs from one household, per day. I will follow any rules or guidelines set by the owner to ensure the best care is given to your furry loved one. I submit photos throughout my care time to keep you up to date with the great time your pet is having with me!
About: I've had pet dogs my entire life, from puppies all the way to the stubborn old dog living with me now! I have also volunteered at animal shelters for a total of five years, where I learned a lot about how to care for various ages and breeds of dogs. Additionally, my current dog is a senior and is partially blind and deaf, so I am experienced in caring for older dogs who may have special needs. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I have a very flexible schedule! I can definitely accommodate any walks or potty breaks your pup might need, and I can also be home if your pup has separation anxiety or needs a closer eye kept on them. I have a fenced yard and two children with lots of energy to keep your pup entertained! My neighborhood has plenty of walking trails, as well as a dog park. I do have a dog in my home, as well; he is a senior and very laid-back and calm. So we are also happy to hang out with lower energy dogs who might just enjoy snuggles and lots of naps.

“First of all, I am so thankful that Naga accepted to watch Quincy at the last minute. She maintained great communication throughout the entire stay and constantly updated me about Quincy, which gave me peace of mind. Naga was also very thorough in making sure Quincy received the right care by asking questions and verifying her preferences and needs. I had to extend for a few extra hours and ended up being late picking up Quincy because our church activity lasted longer than expected, but she was very accommodating and understanding. I truly can’t thank her enough for taking such great care of my fur baby. I highly recommend Naga for her excellent communication, flexibility, and genuine care for pets!”

About: Dog lover since I was a child different breeds and sizes. I can’t have any dogs but sure would love to take care of yours I’m currently a stay home mom and dedicated to my baby and the house my husband works from home so that gives us plenty of time to play and for walks. Pets will be with us on my daily routine. I Will make sure to follow the pet’s routine and habits to ensure feels welcomed and loved
“Always takes the best care of Dallas. I swear she never wants to leave Kathryns house. She literally pulls back on her leash to go back. Thats when you know your pup was well cared for and loved. Thank you!”

“Kristine is great with Zoey! And Zoey loves going over there, which is a good sign. We are moving next month, so I hope we find another 5-star dog loving family like Kristine’s!”

“I would give Tiffany 10 Stars if I could! I recently tried putting Big Boy in doggie daycare. It did not end well. He got scared and was crying and they put him in what they called "time out". I later learned time out meant that he spent the entire day by himself. My son told me about this app and I decided to give it a shot. I could not be happier. Tiffany is not only the nicest person ever, but she also genuinely loves dogs. When I took big boy back the morning after his first visit, he was actually excited to be there which is a huge milestone for a dog that's got separation anxiety. Big boy and Tiffany's dog played together all day. She sent numerous photos and gave me great rundowns of the events of each day. She is amazing and I give you my word, she will not disappoint!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I have three dogs of my own, including a senior, plus my cat Mila. My baby Sophie passed away in 2023. She shaped who I am today. I’ve also cared for rabbits, turtles, birds, shy pets, senior pets, and reactive animals. I’m patient, calm, and gentle, and I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Caring for animals is already part of my everyday life. Between my own dogs, rabbits, and turtle, my days revolve around feeding, walks, cleaning, and spending time with them. I naturally plan my schedule around pets’ needs, so welcoming another pet into that routine feels easy and familiar. I love providing calm, consistent care that helps animals feel safe and comfortable. In my home, I keep a calm, clean, and comfortable environment so pets feel safe and relaxed. I follow routines closely, supervise interactions, and make sure feeding, walks, playtime, and cleaning are always handled properly. When caring for pets in your home, I’m respectful of your space and follow your instructions carefully. Whether it’s medications, specific routines, or helping a shy pet feel at ease, I make sure every pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
