“We needed last minute care for Charlie and so glad we found Chery and family. She was so accommodating. Charlie was comfortable with her and she sent updates. Thank you so much!”

About: My name is Trevor Foy and I love dogs. I have two dogs of my own, one Golden Retriever and one Beagle Mix who are very friendly. I have a house with a big yard where we like to go outside and play ball or get out our dog pool and cool off. I’d love to take care of your dog as if they’re one of ours! I currently work part-time teaching music lessons and do not work a typical 9-5 hours, often working outside of typical work hours. I have flexibility throughout the week to take care of animals. I currently have two dogs of my own and we are moving to a house in April 2026, where we will have a fenced-in yard. I have a car to travel to your house and can take your dogs on walks in your neighborhood or at a local park!
“Hannah was great! She provided a lot of updates and pictures and was willing to book with me at the absolute last minute, I felt very confident my pup was in good hands. Thanks!!”

About: Looking for a calm, pet-free home where your dog will receive lots of love and attention? I’d love to help! Hi! I’m Caitlyn, a teacher, wife, and mom of four. I know trusting someone with your dog is a big decision, and my goal is to make both you and your pup feel completely at ease. One of the things that makes our home unique is that we don’t have any pets of our own. Your dog won’t have to adjust to unfamiliar animals or compete for attention. Instead, they’ll enjoy a peaceful environment where they’re the center of our care. Our family truly loves dogs. My four children are gentle, kind, and always excited to welcome a furry guest into our home. Every interaction is closely supervised, and we’re happy to match your dog’s personality. If they love to play, they’ll have enthusiastic companions. If they prefer naps and quiet cuddles, we’ll happily give them the calm space they need. We also have a large, fully fenced yard where your dog can safely run, play, and explore. I’ll follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, and any special instructions you provide. I know that keeping a familiar routine helps dogs feel comfortable and secure. As a teacher, I’m home on weekends, holidays, and school breaks, which are often when families need dependable pet care the most. Throughout your dog’s stay, you’ll receive regular photos and updates so you can relax knowing they’re happy, safe, and well cared for. My goal is simple: to provide a safe, loving home where your dog feels comfortable from the moment they arrive, and where you can enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pup! As a full-time teacher, I primarily offer boarding on weekends, holidays, and school breaks. During the school year, your dog will enjoy a consistent routine with morning care before work, afternoon and evening playtime, walks, feeding, and lots of family attention. During holidays and summer break, I’m home much more and can provide even more one-on-one care. I only accept bookings that fit my schedule so every dog receives the attention and love they deserve. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities. We have a large, securely fenced yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore under supervision. Because we don’t have any pets of our own, your dog won’t have to compete for attention or adjust to unfamiliar animals. Our home is clean, smoke-free, and family-oriented. We have four children who absolutely love dogs, and all interactions are closely supervised to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. Whether your dog enjoys playing fetch outside or curling up for a nap indoors, we’ll tailor their stay to their personality and routine. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is loved and well cared for.
“Great host! Prompt communication and feedback. Even though it was a short few hours stay, Selena shared multiple updates throughout. And most importantly, Mylo seems had good time with new friends. Will definitely book again.”

“We were going to the Arc Encounter for the day and left our sweet dog here. There was a big fenced backyard for him to run in and the home and family were very nice. We felt comfortable leaving our dog here.”

“I had the pleasure of leaving my dog, Jojo, in Titi’s care for two days, and she was absolutely wonderful! Titi was incredibly attentive and caring, making sure Jojo was happy and well looked after. She sent me updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind knowing Jojo was in great hands. Jojo seemed to have had a blast and came home tired and content. Highly recommend Titi for anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog caregiver.”
About: I have 2 dogs, 2 cats. And several fosters through the year. So I run a small pack here. I am very experienced with managing multiple pets at a time. I work from home. A cat sleeps on my desk. And one or two dogs will sleep under it. I work from home. I begin the day by feeding the pack. Followed by vacuuming the mountains of fur. Followed by some morning calls. Then a walk if the weather is nice. And another one in the evening. Then move on to dinner, and bed time. Dogs usually sleep on or near the bed depending on the dog. The cats will do their cat thing. When a new pet comes into the home for boarding, I keep a close eye on things. I make sure to give them some time to decompress alone if needed. And then I introduce them to the pack. I keep a close eye on food and toys as they can sometimes lead to arguments. If I step out I may lock them up. Until I am comfortable that they will be ok unsupervised.
“Mika did a wonderful job taking care of our dog. No hesitation in recommending 100%. She's very kind and has a gentle demeanor. She provides frequent updates and offer great communication.”

About: Have owned pets including a cat and dog for years and have house/pet sat for family and friends. I'm usually the first person they ask when they need a sitter. Am available most days of the week so I have a lot of time on my hands and would love to spend it playing with your doggies and kitties! I have a decent sized apartment, and my furry buddy is very comfortable. I don't mind at all having larger breeds over, but I am available for boarding if preferred.
“Gülay and Baris made my anxious little pup feel comfortable and happy. He had a great day with them evidenced by the photos and video they shared. Very communicative sitters who made the whole process easy! Will definitely book again.”

About: I’m Breanna, and I’ve been a lifelong dog lover with over two decades of hands-on experience. My home is a hub for happy pups—not only do I have years of personal experience, but I also regularly pet-sit for family and have assisted professional sitters on their weekly routes. Our sweet girl, Nova is a great companion for dogs who prefer their own space. She isn't an 'in-your-face' player; instead, she’s a calm observer who tolerates guest pups well. She takes a few minutes to warm up to new friends, so we prioritize slow, supervised introductions to make sure everyone feels relaxed. She’s the perfect match for a guest dog who just wants a quiet place to hang out. Safety is my top priority—not just for your pups, but for my household too. For that reason, my husband, Isaac, will sometimes join me for off-site visits and walks. We’ve found that this team-based approach works wonders for staying organized and keeping the dogs happy and supervised at all times! I’m comfortable with all types of schedules and am happy to provide the same level of care and attention I give my own pets. I can't wait to meet your furry family member! Full-Time Care at Home: Both my husband and I work from home during the week with very flexible schedules, which means your dog will rarely, if ever, be left alone. We are able to provide constant supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of companionship throughout the work week. Whether your dog needs a midday walk or just a quiet place to nap near us while we work, we can easily accommodate their routine. Weekend & Personal Schedule: We are available for care seven days a week, with a few set windows for our religious services: • Saturday Mornings: We participate in our ministry work, but are available for the rest of the day and evening. • Sundays: We attend our Christian meetings, but we are fully free outside of those service times to provide care and attention. During these short windows, dogs are safely secured in our home, and we are back quickly to resume our normal routine of play and supervision. Safety & Trust: With over 20 years of dog ownership and experience assisting a professional pet sitter, safety is my primary focus. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and needs a structured environment to feel secure. • Supervised Introductions: Because my dog, Nova, is polite but independent, I always conduct slow, leashed introductions in a neutral area to ensure all pets feel respected and safe. • Constant Supervision: Since my husband and I both work from home, guest dogs are never left unattended for long periods. • Double-Team Care: Having two adults in the home means there is always a 'backup' to help with leashing, feeding, or managing different energy levels between dogs. Our Environment: We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood in Anna. Our home is set up to be a peaceful retreat for your pet. • Fenced Yard: We have a secure, fenced-in backyard where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time and potty breaks. • Pet-Friendly Layout: Dogs are welcome in our main living areas. We have plenty of space for crates if your dog prefers their own 'den' for sleeping, or cozy spots for them to lounge near us while we work. • Clean & Secure: We maintain a tidy home (no small objects or hazards left out) and prioritize a calm atmosphere, which is ideal for dogs who might be nervous in a new environment.
“Dakota has such a good time at Miss Marie’s house. When I dropped him off this morning, he literally pulled me to the front door. Thanks Marie for taking such good care of my buddy! 👍🙌👍”

“First of all, I am so thankful that Naga accepted to watch Quincy at the last minute. She maintained great communication throughout the entire stay and constantly updated me about Quincy, which gave me peace of mind. Naga was also very thorough in making sure Quincy received the right care by asking questions and verifying her preferences and needs. I had to extend for a few extra hours and ended up being late picking up Quincy because our church activity lasted longer than expected, but she was very accommodating and understanding. I truly can’t thank her enough for taking such great care of my fur baby. I highly recommend Naga for her excellent communication, flexibility, and genuine care for pets!”

“Always takes the best care of Dallas. I swear she never wants to leave Kathryns house. She literally pulls back on her leash to go back. Thats when you know your pup was well cared for and loved. Thank you!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
