About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of many different species, ages, and temperaments. Before moving, I regularly provided pet and house sitting for five different families each summer. Those households included dogs, cats, birds, lizards, geckos, snakes, turtles, fish, and other pets with detailed feeding, cleaning, and care routines. I currently continue to care for a large multi-pet household with both senior and young dogs, cats, a bearded dragon, freshwater and saltwater aquariums, exotic fish, crabs, seahorses, praying mantises, and numerous plants. I also have extensive experience caring for horses/farm animals, and worked as head equine manager for a therapy barn for two years, along with being a horse trainer for the past five years. At home, I have two dogs, seven cats, two horses, a miniature donkey, and chickens. One of my dogs is a Labrador, and the other is a mixed-breed dog I rescued from the side of the road. Living with and caring for so many animals has taught me to pay close attention to behavior, routines, appetite, comfort, and changes that may indicate stress or illness. I am experienced with puppies, senior pets, multi-pet households, and dogs with separation anxiety. I understand that some animals need more than a quick feeding or walk. They may need patience, consistency, quiet companionship, or someone who can remain in the home so they feel safe and secure. I am comfortable administering oral medications and subcutaneous injections when provided with clear instructions. My educational background includes an advanced college-level animal science course and an interactive veterinary medicine course, both completed with an A+ average. While I am not a veterinarian, this training strengthened my understanding of animal health, handling, safety, and the importance of following care instructions carefully. After working as a horse trainer for five years. That experience taught me how to remain calm, read body language, recognize signs of discomfort or anxiety, and adjust my approach to the individual animal. Those skills carry over directly to working with nervous, energetic, young, or unfamiliar pets. When caring for someone’s animals, I take both their pets and their home seriously. I follow feeding, medication, exercise, and household instructions closely, keep pet areas clean, and provide regular photos and detailed updates. My goal is to maintain each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe and comfortable while their owner is away. Animals have always been a major part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. I do not shy away from detailed instructions, multi-step care, unusual pets, or households with several animals. In fact, I appreciate the opportunity to learn what makes each animal feel safe, comfortable, and understood. Every pet deserves patient, attentive care, especially the ones who need a little extra time and understanding. Animal care is already a major part of my daily routine, and I currently have a very flexible schedule. I am available for early mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight stays, weekends, holidays, and many last-minute requests. I can accommodate dog walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week. Safety, consistency, and communication are my top priorities. Every pet has different needs, and I take the time to learn their routine, personality, exercise requirements, medications, and any special instructions before care begins. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, multi-pet households, separation anxiety, oral medications, and subcutaneous injections. During house sitting, I stay offer to stay overnight and spend as much time as possible with your pets, only leaving when necessary for classes, work, errands, or other commitments. I am happy to bring in mail and packages, water plants, take out trash, and help maintain your home while you’re away. I provide regular photo updates and communication so you always know how your pets are doing. I treat every home with respect and strive to leave it exactly as I found it. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, senior, medically involved, or simply has a detailed routine, I am committed to providing patient, attentive, and reliable care.

About: Lifelong dog lover offering reliable walks and drop-in visits you can count on! Whether your pup needs a quick potty break, a long neighborhood walk, or some mid-day play and attention, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, cared for, and happy. I’ve looked after family and friends’ dogs for years and treat every pet like my own, plenty of love, consistency, and good energy while you’re away. I work a full-time Monday through Friday schedule, which makes me a perfect fit for walks, check-ins, and overnight boarding. My routine already revolves around my own puppy’s exercise and play schedule, so adding a furry friend to the mix fits naturally into my mornings and evenings! Safety is my top priority. I provide a secure environment where your dog can socialize with my friendly puppy under close supervision at my house and if at yours just a fun and safe environment. Whether we are playing in a controlled space or out for a neighborhood walk, I focus on positive reinforcement and making sure every pup feels comfortable, safe, and right at home.

This was my first time booking with Gabbi and she was great with our pups. She was able to come check on my two very energetic dogs (Jack Russell Terrier and Lab). She did an excellent job of keeping us updated during the drop-in and provided photos. Very sweet and would definitely book with her again in the future.

She is hands down the best dog sitter that I’ve ever encountered, and I will definitely work with her again in the foreseeable future. She made me feel at ease with everything, and I didn’t have anything to worry about when it came to my animals’ safety and the security of my home. She’s very communicative and attentive when it came to the animals’ activity/progress. She is extremely awesome, and I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for the best dog sitter on the planet.

This was the first time I used Mary to take care of our cat (Charley) and she will now be my go-to kitty sitter! She not only did she go above and beyond tending to our spoiled cat’s routines, but she took the time to take photos and videos of Charley during her daily visits and sent them to me! Thank you, Mary!

I have never used Rover, as we are new to our town and dont have anyone we know close to us. But we needed to go out of town. And I was recommended this app. Blake showed up when I first looked and no matter what I just kept going back to her page. I am so glad I did. I can't be more thankful for the peace of mind she gave me. My fur kitty is about 2 weeks shy of being 20 years old. With an 8/9 spoiled sister. She loved them like their own. Lady couldn't wag her tail hard enough when Blake stopped by. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this a very positive experience. If I could rate higher than a 5 I would. 🐈Jager and 🐕Lady will miss her!!!

About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for my own dogs and cats, as well as helping family members with their pets. Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I truly understand how much they mean to their families. I am patient, calm, and very respectful of each animal’s personality and space. I’m especially gentle with shy, senior, or more sensitive pets, helping them feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. During each visit, I make sure pets are fed on time, have fresh water, receive attention, playtime, and plenty of affection. I understand how important routines are and I always follow instructions carefully. I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family, and I provide updates and photos so you can feel relaxed and confident knowing your pets are in caring and reliable hands. Pet care is a dedicated and organized part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule one day in advance to ensure I can provide reliable and punctual service to every client. I currently offer drop-in visits Monday through Friday between 6am and 3pm. I limit the number of visits per day so each pet receives calm, focused, and attentive care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain the pet’s normal routine and environment. I ensure doors and gates are secured, food and medications are administered as directed, and the home is kept clean and respectful. I provide regular updates with messages and photos so owners feel informed and reassured. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and stable experience for both the pet and the family.

Jane was absolutely wonderful! She treated our babies like they were her own. From coming out ahead of time to meet us and our babies, to sending us text and photo updates, we couldn't have been happier with her service. This was our first time to use a professional pet sitter and, of course, we were very nervous about it. Jane was very reassuring and kept in constant contact with us. We look forward to using her the next time we go out of town!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Marilee. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
