Christina is a very thoughtful sitter! She has a great set up. Extra dog crates, a gate before the door so no one runs out, covered couch she lets the dogs up on, and a good little yard. My dog had a blast playing with her and other dog she was watching. We were delayed in our travels and she was very flexible! Told me not to rush and sent a ton of pictures letting me know Lyra was having a good time. She even let me book last minute with a quick meet and greet the night before. Thanks Christina!

Celeste was warm, friendly, and kind with Oreo, who is still getting used to doggy daycare. She made sure Oreo felt comfortable. Her dog Murphy was as gentle and welcoming, which really helped Oreo adjust. I’m super grateful for the care and looking forward to having Oreo stay with Celeste and Murphy again. Thank you!

Lisa was absolutely lovely and my shy little dog was instantly comfortable with her. Lisa is very responsive given that I had a last-minute need for doggy daycare on an on a weekend day and she got back to me very quickly which I was grateful for. She has a kind, gentle demeanor, and from the videos she sent me, I got to see her adorable little poodle socializing with my pup. Maisie, my girl, clearly enjoyed it because het tail was wagging madly when they were together in the pictures and video. I’m so glad to have found Lisa and know that there’s someone really good in the New Rochelle Mamaroneck area

I'm semi-retired and have the time and love to look after your pets. I have experience taking care of horses and chickens as well. I am semi-retired and have plenty of time to walk, play with and love on your pets. I love just hanging out and snuggling, or going for long walks. We are a loving home where are pets are part of the family.

About: Welcome to personalized care for your beloved furry friends! As a dedicated dog sitter (or cats, bunny, guinea pigs, birds, you name it!) I offer more than just sitting; I provide a tail-wagging experience filled with love, attention, and playful adventures. With a keen eye for each pup's needs and a passion for creating a safe and joyful environment. I'll ensure your dog feels right at home when you can't be there. Let's make their time away from home an unforgettable tail-wagging adventure! Jumping into experience and home life: I have taken care of pets, dogs specifically, since I was 9 years old. I am currently a stay at home mommy to my son (3 years old) and to our 3 bundles of joy. I love animals so much. They are more than just a pet or an animal, they are family. I will take care of yours with soft and gentle arms, as if they were my own. I do not professionally train, although both of my dogs are very good at what I have taught, (tricks and such). I also have no problems administering medications. I want to provide you a stress free getaway while know your babies are safe and sound. I will always send daily photos and/or videos of how your babies are adjusting to their stay. Our household is me, my fiance, our son and our three dogs. All of which will care for your babies just as much. I love that Rover allows us to provide personable stays to allow 1x1 tailored time with your pet that eases a lot of stress for everyone. I own an at home dog grooming kit which includes a dog vacuum that combs them while taking out the excess fur. Let me know if you need any deshedding services! My availability is totally available everyday! I work from home so I’m here on call for sure! If you are in need of drop-in visits, my fiance does come along for meet and greets and occasional visits as well. In both my home and my client's homes, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment for pets. This includes maintaining a consistent feeding and exercise schedule tailored to each pets needs. I ensure plenty of playtime and mental stimulation through interactive toys and games. Additionally, I maintain cleanliness by regularly cleaning feeding areas, litter boxes, and any pet messes promptly. Above all, I provide affectionate companionship and attentive care to make sure pets feel secure and loved while their owners are away.

About: I have lived with at least 2 dogs in my household for the past 20 years. Providing them with the opportunities to live fulfilling and healthy lives has been my priority. Although I am their caregiver, I consider them also to be my teachers. Learning how to communicate with them is the best way to ensure they are happy and calm, and that they feel safe. I am currently retired and spend quite a bit of time at the dog park. My dog and I are mostly inseparable. I take him with me to run errands when I can. It isn't always practical and so he minds the house when I am away. Barney is my only companion, and, even though I'm kind of a loner, Barney is NOT. He is extremely friendly and social and craves the company of other dog;, that factors into my decision to care for other dogs in my home. Barney will help me keep your dog comfortable and happy while in our care. We have a fenced back yard (4 foot). The surrounding properties have no dogs at this time. If your dog can jump a 4 foot fence, this may not be the safest home for him or her.

Josie, her husband, and Paco took great care of my Pip while we were vacationing in ABQ. Having Pip go over to her house allowed us to get some hikes, bike rides, and brunches in without having to worry is our young, energetic dog was being destructive or bored at the Airbnb. Highly recommend, and will definitely request Josie again when we return.

About: If there's anything that I can brighten my day, it's seeing a happy dog! Since I was young I have always had a soft heart for all animals. I believe in the ethical treatment of animals, and I will advocate for them however I can. I have cared for many dogs of my own over the years, as well as for others. Your fur babies will get as much love as I give my own. Caring for animals has always brought me a deep sense of comfort and joy. I especially enjoy supporting senior pets or those who need a little extra attention, patience, and care. I recently lost my beloved dog of 15 years to cutaneous lymphoma, which required attentive, around-the-clock care, including carefully timed medications and a thoughtfully managed diet tailored to his health needs. He was truly a member of my family, and his loss has left a significant space in my life—one of the reasons I’ve chosen to join Rover. I’m very attentive, protective, and detail-oriented when it comes to an animal’s well-being. My experience has also led me to learn extensively about canine health, particularly cancer prevention and supportive care. Caring for animals is important to me, as I know completely how worrisome it can be to give your baby to someone else and hope they get the same love and care. I have always been very cautious with my pets in any situation and this is one of the reasons I joined Rover. I understand the nervousness of giving someone else the responsibility of your beloved pet, and if I can be that relief to someone else then I would love to! The attention, detail, and care I put into them reflects my fees. Since my dog has passed, I truly miss the simple joys of daily walks and spending time outside with a dog, and I look forward to providing loving, reliable care for yours. I currently work on a project basis and have full availability, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care, walks, and play. I don’t have other pets, so your dog will receive my full attention and care. I’m home most of the day, providing a calm and consistent environment. I also enjoy taking walks, especially when visiting family in the Four Hills area, which offers great opportunities for outdoor time. I do go to the gym regularly, but I’m typically only away for about an hour, ensuring your pet is never left alone for extended periods. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet in my care, whether in my home or a client’s home. I take the time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs so I can keep their experience as consistent and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and follow all care instructions closely—from feeding schedules and walks to medications and any special requests. I’m attentive to details, keep a close eye on your pet’s behavior, and provide regular updates so you feel informed and at ease while you’re away. I have also been accepted as an APS substitute teacher, so I have passed an extensive background check. Along with dog sitting, my background also includes a professional career in the film industry, teaching English in Spain with families, and caring for a farm in Hawaii. If caring for pets in my home, I maintain a clean, secure environment with plenty of supervision, comfort, and affection. I ensure pets have a safe space to relax, access to fresh water, and appropriate exercise and enrichment based on their energy level and needs. Safety is always my top priority. I’m mindful during walks (leash safety, surroundings, avoiding hazards), and I’m experienced with administering medications and caring for senior or higher-needs pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own—with patience, attentiveness, and genuine care.

As of September 2026, there are 242 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Sandia Heights. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Sandia Heights commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NM ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 242 sitters in Sandia Heights, 92% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
