“I was visiting town and needed a last-minute dog daycare option, and she was fantastic. She was very responsive and took the time to meet me and my pup beforehand, which made me feel comfortable right away. My pup was tired from the day and all the activities, but she handled her with both care and confidence. She quickly became part of the pack, played with the other dogs, and came back happily exhausted. She also sent photos and text updates, which I really appreciated. I especially liked how attentive she was with my pup’s prescribed medication. It gave me real peace of mind knowing she was safe, cared for, and having a great time while I was away. Highly recommend!”

“Mike was an incredible sitter. My little guy, Walter, took to him because he was so friendly. He gave me updates throughout the day and made sure my dog was walked, fed, and well loved. Would recommend and work with Mike again!”

“In ABQ for vacation and searched out Kimberly on Rover based on all the reviews - gosh they were right!! She’s super responsive, flexible with your schedule, and great with our dog. Thank you Kimberly for being so welcoming!”

“Jody was amazing with our new rescue, Teddy. She was very communicative and worked with us on all of Teddy's quirks like separation anxiety and leash reactivity. Teddy definitely had a fun day full of fun and adventure! We super appreciate Jody working with us on such late notice and for being so kind!”

“In all my years of using dog sitters, no one has come close to Peter in terms of the care and love my dog received from him. Peter sent the best pictures throughout the day, and I was jealous of how much fun they were having. , He really did treat Bug like his own dog. I think my dog almost likes him better than me.”

“Jamie was very friendly and communicated with me during the stay. She has young kids in the home for playtime with my small dog along with a friendly poodle of her own.”

“We needed daycare for our small pup while traveling so we could go to a museum. Shell was responsive when scheduling and attuned to our dogs needs while he was there. Good experience all around!”

“Cecilia and family were very kind and understanding of Buffalo’s insecurity being left behind. Her dogs were very kind with my dog and had no issues. She kept in contact with me and sent me pictures that reassured me that Buffalo was comfortable and safe.”

“Diane was so great with our senior rescue poodle. She looked happy in the photos she sent. Tail was wagging when we picked up and she got lots of snuggles. We will be using her again!”

“Brian is great - our dog is pretty shy, but he has been really patient with her and now she is excited to see him and the other dogs. He is also great at communicating quickly. Very thankful to have a safe, fun place for our dog to go.”

“Always amazing! Punnarai is caring and attentive. My pup is excited to be dropped off and (sadly for me) tentative to leave the fun environment she creates for him while he’s there. Definitely recommend.”

“My first time here on Rover and we had a great experience. Thank you so much! I’m so happy I found Leslie & James. The dogs were in great hands and I felt reassured they will be cared for from the get go.”

About: For more than 20 years, my profound connection with cats and dogs has shaped my understanding of their unique needs. As a devoted pet owner, I have cultivated an innate sense of compassion and responsibility. What truly sets me apart from other sitters is not just the duration of my experience, but the depth of my commitment. My journey with various feline and canine companions has equipped me with a wealth of insights into their behaviors, preferences, and health requirements. I believe in the power of positive reinforcement and have honed the skill of training puppies with patience and consistency, fostering well-behaved and happy pets. I have a completely free schedule and would love to babysit your pets while you are away on vacation! I would love to walk your dogs and give them a chance to roam my gated community. I have a 2 bedroom apartment for your pet to roam, and an exclusive guest room for your pet with a cat tree and natural light as well as pet gate behind the front door to keep animals from escaping outside. Most importantly, I have a wide variety of pet toys that I'm excited to use with your lovely pet! Toy snakes, electronic feather, lasers, springs, balls and more. I also live in a gated community where I can walk dogs daily.
About: Hi there! If you are a first-time client, please take a moment to read my full profile before requesting a booking. I want to make sure my home and care style are a good fit for your pet. I’m Celine, an artist living in Albuquerque who loves helping people care for their pets. Pet sitting has been a meaningful way for me to support my art practice while spending time with wonderful animals. I grew up with dogs, had a plott hound named Lucy, and have been pet sitting for many years, first for friends and now regularly on Rover. I’m comfortable with a range of personalities and focus on creating a calm, secure environment for each dog. - I board only one dog at a time, ensuring your pet receives my full attention in a peaceful space with no other animals or children. I’m open to occasional exceptions for small dogs from the same household so they can stay together. I have a fenced yard and provide regular daily walks so your dog gets plenty of safe outdoor time and enrichment. - My partner Randy also lives with me. He is a wildland firefighter and is often away for extended periods. When he is home, he enjoys spending time with the dogs, but I am the primary caregiver and handle all daily care and communication. - I send regular updates with photos so you can feel connected and reassured while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! - Policies & Requirements: I require a meet and greet for all new clients. During this meeting, I assess whether the dog is a good fit and observe how they respond to new people. Please share any behavioral concerns or important details at that time. - If a dog is extremely high energy, has never been left alone without their owner, or shows signs of anxiety, I may request a trial daycare stay before approving a longer booking or overnight stay. - Because I am often fully booked, I may schedule meet and greets during an active boarding. The dog I’m boarding is always safely separated, and I don’t allow dogs to meet or interact. - I accept bookings on a first-come, first-served basis. A stay is not confirmed or reserved until it has been paid for and officially accepted through Rover. - For boarding stays, please bring everything your dog needs from home, including food, bowls, medications, toys, treats, crate (if crate trained and used to sleeping or spending time in a crate), bed, leash, and poop bags. I work from home as an artist and illustrator. My schedule is fairly flexible, which will ensure that I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pet. Though I am at home most of the time, I do occasionally have to step out for 1-6 hours at a time for meetings and other errands. I take measures to make their time alone as stress-free as possible, providing toys and treats to occupy them. I prioritize safety through close supervision and clear communication with owners. I will take extra care to follow any instructions you have for feeding and administering medication, ensuring they get the care they need.
About: I grew up with animals and in an effort to eliminate congenital diseases in some of my favorite breeds, I became a boutique dog breeder. That gave me extensive experience in caring for animals with various needs. I can administer shots, medications, specialized dietary needs and provide the most personalized care. I have a very flexible schedule to accommodate your needs! I am available holidays, weekends and throughout the day! I am here for your peace of mind! I have one very friendly dog (female) that would love to play with yours. I have a safe, enclosed yard and live near a beautiful walking ditch.
Los Ranchos de Albuquerque dog parents share their Rover experiences
Kevin was able to take my pups last second on a holiday weekend, really saving us in a pickle! He was pretty good about communicating, and as flexible as he could be juggling work and personal schedule to accommodate us. His backyard has a tall wall but a short (waist-high) gate that was no match for my husky. I failed to communicate food issues with Kevin and he handled the situation professionally and with compassion. Both dogs loved him and his family and besides the gate we wouldn't hesitate to book again.
