I will have an immediate, positive impact on your loved ones life, and want to be of service to our sacred pet community! I'm a recent Law graduate, looking for the next chapter of my adventure; and in the meantime I'd be honored to spend time taking the best care of your pet(s)! About: Hi there! My name is Kat, and I have a deep, well-rounded background in animal care. With 3+ years of hands-on experience in animal rescue and 10 years of personal pet sitting (and 22+ years of animal-loving!), I bring calm expertise, safety awareness, and specialized care that goes far beyond standard pet sitting. I'm also a certified Wilderness First Responder and American Red Cross CPR Certified. Rescue Training: My time in animal rescue taught me to read subtle animal body language, prevent stressful situations, and keep pets safe and relaxed in any environment, while also serving as a friend and comfort to animals in need! Medication Administration: I have experience giving oral, topical, and routine medications to a wide variety of animals, ranging from kittens to senior dogs. Experience in All Sizes & Energy Levels: From toy breeds to giant dogs, I understand how to handle different temperaments and physical needs. I love taking high-energy dogs on extensive, engaging walks (especially on our local hiking trails!) to keep them physically exercised and mentally happy. I am a full-time student supporting myself while working toward my paralegal certification. I take my courses online from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Monday-Thursday), so I am available for in-house sitting, drop-in visits, or whatever your pet may need! Since I offer only In-House Sitting, Drop-In Visits, and walk services, your pets will receive 1-on-1 attention without leaving the comfort of their familiar surroundings. My priority is maintaining their daily routine while keeping your home secure and your pets safe. With every visit, I will provide consistent photo updates and detailed reports after each drop-in/day! Flexible, personalized pet care (drop-ins & sitting): Regardless of whether it's a quick 30-minute stop-in for food, meds, play, and potty breaks, or an overnight stay, I adapt entirely to your pet’s individual needs and routine. I strive to keep homes tidy, secure, and maintained, reducing travel stress for everyone and helping pets feel their best! Outdoor Safety: During walks and outdoor breaks, safety is paramount- I practice attentive situational awareness and strive to maintain large distances from any off-leash dogs, as well as ensuring your pet is safely and securely harnessed/leashed. Overall Safety Precautions: From my rescue experience, animals are curious!- In this, I ensure all doors, gates, and deadbolts are latched securely during every entry and exit, double-check that food and medications are sealed out of reach, as well as keeping a watchful eye out for subtle changes in pet health or behavior. Home Maintenance/Overall Peace of Mind: During house sits and drop-ins, I am happy to bring in mail, water plants, keep your living spaces spotless, or help with any other tasks.

Mia was excellent. She should be very proud of herself, especially with how active and vocal our larger dog was when she visited for the meet and greet. The dogs look very well taken care of and it would be an honor to book Mia again in the future. Thank you for helping our family while we were away.

About: I have had a dog in my family home since I can remember. This generally included occasional walks and feeding, as well as some training for my most recent dog Gracie. I have also taken care of neighbors dogs and cats for years. The main dog I’ve cared for is Patrick for the past 3 years whenever the family is away for long periods, including walks, feeding, and general company for longer periods. Other occasional instance of dog care include family friends’ cats, dogs, bunnies, or ducks. I’m currently a student at Northeastern with classes from 10am-3am. I will be available for afternoon walk or in-house visits. I am available most of the time on weekends with reasonable notice. I will not offer pet care in my home as I live in an apartment with a no-pet policy. When taking care of client’s I follow guidelines of needed action set by the owner to take proper care of the dog.

We feel very fortunate to have found Kimberly to look after our daughter’s cat while we were away visiting family during Christmas week. Kimberly did a drop in visit at our house each day, and sent daily pics to our daughter - which she really appreciated. The cat got to stay at home, we had daily contact and peace of mind, and at a much lower cost than a kennel or cat hotel. A real win-win. Thanks so much, Kimberly !

About: I have had dogs, cats, puppies in my life since I was born. I have had the pleasure of training all types of dogs in many different areas. When I was younger my family used to always take trips up to Marthas Vineyard, we always had to leave our dogs at a kennel which we realized later on was not the best thing to do for our dogs. Emotionally/mentally we could tell it had taken a toll on them, so we started leaving them home with Pet Sitters. That was the best decision we had made. I want to be able to provide the same love and care that our pet sitters have provided in the past, but for your pet! Im currently working privately as a Personal Trainer and a Hypnotherapist Practitioner so my schedule is quite flexible. I also offer Reiki for both people and pets (Dogs, Cats, Horses)!!! I don’t typically board pets but would be willing to work with someone if the situation was right. I am also willing and able to crate your pet if thats something you do in your home!

I cannot say enough good things about Claire. From day one Claire has been amazing and has taken wonderful care of our fur baby Lacey. Lacey is an 11 month old black lab mix full of energy and chaos. Claire always goes out of her way to play with Lacey and keep her busy and entertained. Claire, confirmed with us first and asked if she could bring over her lab to play with Lacey. Lacey and Rio (Claire’s dog) quickly became best friends. I know Lacey is in good hands and I feel comfortable when Claire is watching her. I highly recommend Claire and we have hired her multiple times.

As of September 2026, there are 1,793 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Salem Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Salem Center. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
