About: I’ve lived with pets my whole life. I’m a biology major pursuing animal science and conservation. I love everything about them and I will be volunteering at the animal shelter this summer! I have experience taking care of old dogs, and hyper ones, from helping out my family and friends over the years. About: I have had dogs, cats, puppies in my life since I was born. I have had the pleasure of training all types of dogs in many different areas. When I was younger my family used to always take trips up to Marthas Vineyard, we always had to leave our dogs at a kennel which we realized later on was not the best thing to do for our dogs. Emotionally/mentally we could tell it had taken a toll on them, so we started leaving them home with Pet Sitters. That was the best decision we had made. About: For the past three years, I’ve volunteered at a local animal shelter with my mother. I completed my senior internship there and now volunteer on my own. In my time at the shelter, I’ve gained lots of dog walking experience, especially with young puppies. I’m familiar with shelter training techniques and with cleaning and sanitation. I have two dogs of my own, one of which is a difficult walker. I know how most types of dog harnesses work. My internship involved spending time in the cat room, during which time I worked with cats of all temperaments. I don’t currently work in an official capacity and don’t play any sports, so I’m free pretty much all the time aside from my volunteer work. I’m used to animals with a wide range of play styles. I have a dog that loves to play fetch and go for swims, and I live near a large trail system, so I’m most familiar with those forms of enrichment. I have a minivan and can drive dogs to dog parks, trails, and fields.

About: I've been surrounded by pets my whole life. Growing up, I cared for many cats and dogs. I don’t have any animals at the moment. However, I did care for my cat, Susan, and Siberian Husky, Luke, for 15+ years before they both crossed the rainbow bridge in 2019. I know the tender, loving care that’s required to take in an animal and I’m sensitive to the fact that these kittens & pups are your babies! Each dog/cat/pet has a different personality and set of needs based on their breed or lifestyle and I’m prepared to take on any challenge.
