About: For the past three years, I’ve volunteered at a local animal shelter with my mother. I completed my senior internship there and now volunteer on my own. In my time at the shelter, I’ve gained lots of dog walking experience, especially with young puppies. I’m familiar with shelter training techniques and with cleaning and sanitation. I have two dogs of my own, one of which is a difficult walker. I know how most types of dog harnesses work. My internship involved spending time in the cat room, during which time I worked with cats of all temperaments. I don’t currently work in an official capacity and don’t play any sports, so I’m free pretty much all the time aside from my volunteer work. I’m going to college in September, so I’m not available for long term arrangements that go past summer. I’m used to animals with a wide range of play styles. I have a dog that loves to play fetch and go for swims, and I live near a large trail system, so I’m most familiar with those forms of enrichment. Some dogs have invisible fence collars, and need to be driven off the property, or they live on busy streets, that are not safe streets to walk on. You can request a feeding, if you would like, and I could do a quick scan of the house for any unexpected accidents, and clean them up for you. I can do drop-in visit (15 minutes), or a full 30 minute walk or play in the yard. More time can be requested, if necessary. About: Growing up I have had animals all the time such as dogs, cats, hamsters, fishes, etc. I am good at taking care of them and knowing how to help! I will have plenty of time to walk and care for you animal! I always have time to walk or care for you animal whenever you will need it. I live in an apartment building near 2 ponds and a park so there would be plenty of time for walks. There is a fenced in area specifically for dogs to run around and play as well.
