“Deanna is wonderful. I was nervous to leave my two cats, but as soon as I met Deanna my worry was gone. She's clearly done this before and cares about our animals. We received pictures and videos everyday and the cats seemed quite happy when we got back. Deanna took really good care of my babies and I am grateful for that. Also our apartment has a very difficult door/entrance and she was very patient and willing to figure it out. Deanna rules.”

“Robin has been our primary cat sitter for over a year and she’s been fantastic! She’s friendly and professional, and our three cats love her. I always feel relived and at ease when she’s dropping by to check in on our cats. ⭐️”

“Ebony is awesome! So grateful she was able to care for our boy while we're away. Ebony was flexible and able to accommodate our last minute request and changes in our travel. I will definitely book Ebony again.”

“As always Caitlin took good care of Lola while we were out of town. She made sure to feed her and take care of cleaning out the litter box. Lola also received plenty of belly rubs and pets in our absence.”

“Lindsey took excellent care of my cats, who are especially needy! She spent a lot of time with them and clearly gave them lots of love while I was away. Thank you Lindsey!”

About: Foster dog mom and dog sitter. Recently lost my beagle and miss pup time. I treat my friend’s dogs like my own and they actually encouraged me to start a profile. I like walking and don’t mind slow sniffers. I’m aware of squirrels and cats in my neighborhood and avoid them when necessary. I work full time but have availability evenings and weekends. Looking forward to long walks, tails wagging while sniffing and again meeting daily step goals. I have a small backyard and shotgun house which I own. I can crate if necessary but if your fur baby is trustworthy, I’m happy to let him or her free range guard my house during the day. The window facing the street is typically pretty entertaining. I got rid of my dog camera when Maggie passed away but may set an iPad up, again. Meet n Greets prior to a stay is a must, my foster dog is dog-shy at first but loves people.
“Ellen was so attentive and loving to my girl while I was away. Spent time giving her love and attention as well as taking care of her feeding / walking needs. She was super attentive and gave lots of picture updates too. Would definitely book again.”

“Laura took amazing care of my precious kitty and home, definitely will be booking again!! Appreciate the care and thoughtfulness. Knowing my cat was in good hands was so comforting. Thank you!!!”

“Aura cared for our 16 yr old cat for over a week. Our cat needed several daily medications and a complicated food regimen which she was able to handle without any difficulty. Our cat also seemed to "bond" with her and she provided pictures of our kitty happily settled on her lap during visits. She clearly has a great affection for the pets she cares for which put my mind at ease while we were away.”

“E is super attentive, responsive, respectful and overall a great with my dog! E sent thorough updates and pics to me while I was away and made me feel reassured Oreo was taken care of. I would definitely recommend and book for further outings. Thanks so much!!”

About: My parents had dogs and cats before I was born, so I've literally had animals my entire life. As a young adult living in NYC, I shared a small apartment with two dogs and two cats for nearly 20 years. They were the center of my world, and honestly, the most important things in my life. More than 30 years later, I still dream about them. I’ve always loved animals — every single one. I’ve traveled the world to encounter and marvel at them. I’m the person who will stop at nothing to rescue the baby squirrel, injured bird, or stray dog, and who tries to gently guide the errant bug back outside, even though it completely grosses me out. But beyond loving animals, I'm also a preternaturally mature, responsible adult. I’m 58 (my mom would argue I’ve been 58 since I was five), and I retired early, which means I'm home, unhurried, and genuinely available, aside from taking long walks, swimming, yoga, tennis, and social plans. Having spent decades relying on pet sitters and dog walkers myself, I understand firsthand what separates someone adequate from someone truly invaluable. You're not just trusting someone with your pets — you're trusting them with your home, your routines, and the beings you love most in the world. I take that seriously. I'm attentive, observant, communicative, and calm in a crisis. I notice when something seems off in your house, with your pet, or otherwise. At this point in my life, I don't want another pet of my own — the emotional effort and the inevitable heartbreak. What I do want is more animals in my days: the walks, the companionship, the silliness, the comfort. In many ways, I've become the grandparent option — thrilled to love, walk, spoil, and care for your pets wholeheartedly, then hand them back to you exhausted and adored. I'm retired, so I have plenty of time. I can walk dogs or pop in to check on your pets anytime during the morning, daytime, or early evening. I'm also available to stay overnight. I care for pets in clients’ homes the same way I always hoped people would care for mine: attentively, responsibly, affectionately, and with enormous respect for both the animals and the home itself. I understand that allowing someone into your home and entrusting them with beloved pets requires a tremendous amount of trust. Having spent decades as both a pet owner and homeowner myself, I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m mature, observant, communicative, calm under pressure, and exceptionally conscientious. If something seems off with your pet, your home, or anything else, I will notice it and communicate immediately. I treat your home as I would my own - with care. It helps that I am extremely neat and tidy (maybe a tad OCD when it comes to cleanliness...). And, I am happy to follow any rules or guidelines the client has. As for the animals themselves, I genuinely enjoy being with them. I’m happy to do long walks, slower strolls, playtime, snuggling on the couch, medication routines, keeping to familiar schedules, or simply providing calm companionship and reassurance while you’re away. I know firsthand how much pets thrive on consistency, patience, affection, and a sense of safety. At this stage in my life, I do this because I truly enjoy reconnecting with the joy animals bring to everyday life. I’m not trying to build a huge business or rush through appointments. I simply love animals and enjoy caring for them well.
“Sarah was a great sitter, really communicative and attentive to my two kitties. She sent detailed updates and pictures with each visit so I knew my guys were well taken care of. Excellent service, would use again!”

“Danielle watched our dog Finley while we were away on spring break. We both felt immediately comfortable with her on our first visit. He was very well cared for. I highly recommend her and will be using her again!”

“RILEY, Was a great with Mindy. Throughout the whole experience she stayed in contact. Riley showed her 5 star experience with photos of Mindy and I would definitely use her again.”

“Cortney was a wonderful dog sitter- she was very responsive and calm even when my alarm randomly went off! I will definitely be using Cortney again to watch Maisy!”

About: I've spent my whole life around animals— dogs, cats, snakes, spiders, bunnies, and hamsters. Whether it's a big ol puppy or a senior cat, I’ve cared for them with love and attention. Being with animals comes naturally from a lifetime of training, and I treat every pet like my own. Be prepared for a new nickname for your pet. I work at a business in the French quarter and my schedule is flexible. I can take a long lunch in order to check on pets. I follow all instructions and act as if I'm being watched by the owner in the moment. I was a residential housecleaner for over a decade and appreciated supervision.
About: I’ve had pets all my life and I used to foster dogs and cats with my family in NC. I’ve helped family friends and relatives with their pets for years l and I’ve been professionally dog walking on and off since I moved here 5 years ago. I do have a full time job that I work around, my shifts typically max out at 7 hours so I have plenty of time to provide the best pet care I can. I do have my own pet cat who is not the biggest fan of other animals so home boarding is not an option for me. However, I do feel very comfortable taking care of pets in their own homes. I’m able to provide great exercise and play time as well as administering any medications they may need and sticking to their normal feeding schedule.

Delaney is truly the best. This is the second time she watched Gwen and I feel like she cares for her like her own! She’s always taking many pictures and leaving great updates. She went above and beyond, is super flexible, and I will continue to use her whenever I am out of town. Thank you so much!!

Daphne went above and beyond caring for my 2 rabbits. She left incredibly detailed notes that were not only informative, but entertaining and fun to read! She sent so many photos too! On top of that, she even did other things such as helping my downstairs neighbor that was locked out of my building, carrying my heavy water bottles in that were delivered, and trying to fix my Internet. She truly has a deep understanding of animal behavior and really loves them. Thank you so much! Will definitely be booking again.

Jan was absolutely fantastic. I have a very unique pack of working and primitive breed dogs, and they definitely aren't the easiest group to care for. After just one meet-and-greet, Jan understood their personalities and made both me and my dogs feel completely at ease. What really impressed me was that he confidently took them on walks,...something that very few Rover sitters I've worked with have been comfortable doing. He handled each dog's quirks with patience, confidence, and a calm demeanor that my dogs responded to immediately. It's rare to find someone who truly understands working breeds and dogs with unique personalities, but Jan absolutely does. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, especially if you have high-energy, independent, or quirky dogs that need someone experienced and confident. I'll definitely be booking with him again.
Amanda is an amazing cat mom to my very old (18), very needy (diabetic!) kitty cat. I come home to a clean home and happy cat. She also looks after my two half-feral outside cats. She is a great communicator and sends pics of my cuties daily. Highly recommend Amanda!
Highly recommend Cortney for any drop-in needs! She checked in on our kitten while we were out of town over three days, and did a wonderful job keeping us updated, sharing pictures, etc. She is a great communicator, trustworthy, and very thoughtful in her messages. We will use her again in the future!

Sarah was great!! This was the second time she watched our pets (1 dog, 2 cats and a fish). She checked in on them multiple times a day, sent us updates, and followed the detailed notes we left her. We felt like they were in such great hands that we could actually enjoy our trip without worrying about if they were getting the care we needed. We'll definitely book Sarah next time we travel!
