“Ebony is so rare. They update and take care of your dog and cat like they were their own. I’m so grateful to have someone get to know my dog’s personality and be patient with them while I was away. It makes travel and being away more enjoyable knowing they are in good hands. Appreciate it more than you know. Mary Louise”

“Couldn’t have asked for better care for our sweet boy!! And in short notice too which was a massive help as we dealt with an out of town family emergency. Will 100% be using Michelle again very soon”

“As always Caitlin took good care of Lola while we were out of town. She made sure to feed her and take care of cleaning out the litter box. Lola also received plenty of belly rubs and pets in our absence.”

“Alaina was amazing. She was consistent and reliable. It’s obvious that she really cares about animals and I felt so much better leaving our cats knowing she would be taking care of them. We will definitely book her again for our next trip!”

“Faith took great care of my two senior cats while I was away. She also brought in mail/packages and provided great communication. I would not hesitate to use her again!”

About: I am a huge animal lover and advocate for all fur babies. I currently own four pets ( two cats and two dogs). I volunteer at the shelter and give back to the community. I have pet sat for my friends and families dogs and only recently decided to do this as a side gig. If you were to ask any of my friends and family, one of the main things they would describe about me is my love and care for animals. I go above and beyond. Just last year I picked up four lost dogs and reunited them with their owners. I also helped to TNR the kitties in my neighborhood and now have 3 permanent porch kitties 😂. You will never have to question if your pets are in good hands. I am also familiar with medium to large dogs and reactive dogs. My two dogs are reactive and I have learned a lot over the last 8-9 years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I can take your dog for walks or potty breaks throughout the week and even more flexible during the weekends. If your pet would need to stay with me, I have a large fenced in yard and a guest bedroom where they can set up their own space away from my animals

I will strive to uphold whichever boundaries you h have set up for your pup and work to reinforce training. Have your pup stay with a familiar face while you're away! In addition to personal experience with animals over the years, I have professional experience volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. One of the largest animal rehabilitation clinics in the world. I hope I can be someone you wholeheartedly trust with the care of your beloved furry one. I currently work full time as a pet sitter in addition to small freelance work so my schedule is flexible. On weekdays I will be gone for short periods of time but can be back every couple hours. I always make sure to get my pups set up when I leave the house. I'm a very hands on pet sitter. I understand the needs of animals and their lil personalities intuitively and I like to check in to make sure they are safe and happy.
About: I've had many pet dogs and a few cats in my house since my childhood. I care deeply for animals and I'll do my absolute best to take care of others if I get the opportunity. I'm a dog owner and I have a very flexible schedule. I'm in pretty good shape and love to walk and run around with my Bella. I have a large fenced-in yard and I don't mind dogs in the house. My Bella is friendly and would love company sometimes. I can handle and care for your dog responsibly. I’m retired and like to stay active and I like spending time walking and staying fit so I walk when I can and I love doing it with my dog buddies. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of room to run around in, it’s safe and secure. My dog would like to get to know some other dogs.
“Elizabeth was prompt with her visits and reports. She made me feel secure about being away from Tula. Everything was in order when we returned. I would trust her to check on her again if needed.”

About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.
About: Growing up, my nuclear family cared for roughly thirty cats, both indoor and outdoor. Naturally, part of my daily routine was feeding them all before getting on the school bus, keeping the litter boxes and surrounding areas tidy throughout the day, and of course providing AMPLE love to all. I have experience nursing abandoned kittens to health and maturity, as well as acclimating feral cats into the home. I am more than keen when it comes to feline behavior! (My mother used to "joke" that her four children should come together and open a vet clinic.) Today, my husband and I have a well-trained, 3 year old shepherd mix named Poet, whom we adopted at just 8 weeks old, and a 5 year old American bobtail kitty named Millie, who we also rescued. We both work from home and our animals are our absolute lives. Normal days for us include walks around the neighborhood, as well as trips to City Bark. We have a fenced in backyard for potty time, as well as sun bathing. Both as our animal have free reign of our home; they watch TV with us, answer email with us, snooze with us, cook with us, etc.! You can trust that your fur baby would be met with the same love, adoration, and care that we provide to our own. Both my husband and myself work from home and are able to provide near-constant care for your fur babies, whether that pertain to potty breaks or play time! We have a modest fenced in yard, as well as one dog and one cat of our own. Both are friendly with all species! We have ample space (spare bedrooms) to set up up a crate/kennel if desired.
About: With a 9 year old golden of my own, I love dogs at all their stages of life! Taking care of pets is something I have always loved to do. I am currently working remote 3-4 days a week, so I have some flexibility! I am also available most weekends for what you and your pet may need. When visiting a client’s home, I will ensure that I take care of everything as if it were my own. I also have a dog of my own who loves routine, so doing everything I can to ensure that your pet is comfortable and has the best experience with me as well!
About: When your pets stay with me, they get my full attention. I'm currently freelancing and work mostly from home, besides the occasional meeting, in-person project, or event. I prefer to host one pet family at a time, so that I can give each client and crew my utmost effort, compassion, and care. I want to make sure your family members are thriving and living their best lives while you're away! I've cared for cats, dogs, and even turtles since I was a kid. I'm an avid foster with the Louisiana SPCA and have volunteered with animal welfare organizations across the state since I was a teenager. I've cared for almost every kind of dog: the chill seniors, the anxious rescues, and the gregarious goofballs. I enjoy exploring the colorful neighborhoods of New Orleans with a companion by my side. I also love teaching and learning new tricks, and I'm always down for an impromptu playtime. In my free time, I'm a passionate circus artist, so I'm usually juggling tennis balls when I'm not throwing them for fetch. I'm a lifelong New Orleanian, so I know all the coolest (literally) spots in town. Whether that's a long sniffy and shaded walk in City Park, or a breezy stroll along the lakefront, I make sure all of our adventures are catered to your pet's comfort and schedule. I'm currently freelancing, so I have ample free time to care for pets of all kinds. With enough notice, I can generally be available any day of the week at any time. I'm able to work mostly remotely, and I try to structure my days around hanging with your pets at your house or at mine. When I do have to leave pets alone, I make sure they're cozy with fresh food and water, toys, and plenty of napping space. I ask lots of questions during our meet-and-greets and our communications to ensure we're aligned on your family's needs schedule-wise, and so that I understand your pet's normal daily routine. I try to keep my calendar current, so you can see when I'm available and when I'm not, but reach out anytime! Your pet stays with me whether in your home or at my own. My flexible schedule allows me to hang out and check in often. I have reliable transportation that allows me to fetch the essentials and the luxuries, like treats. My home has a fenced yard, so there's plenty of space for secure outdoor activities. I also have a pool, so when it's hot, there's a place to cool off. If I'm boarding your pet, I'll follow your lead when it comes to swimming. If your dog loves water, we can swim together, and if they're not a swimmer, I'll make sure we stay dry. I'm always happy to share more details about our yard during our conversations or a meet-and-greet. On walks, we use the leashes and gear you provide and that your pet is familiar with. Alternatively, I can also bring my own leashes if you'd like. I follow your instructions around feeding, routine, and medications (I appreciate having your instructions written down). I refer to your preferred vet and pet hospital information. As a local New Orleanian, I'm resourceful and knowledgeable about the multitude of pet resources in town that help your pet stay healthy and happy, from clinics that offer free vaccines to local restaurants that are pup-friendly.
“Kathrine was really great with our cat Chloe. She communicated very well and let me know if she was running a little late. I appreciated the pictures and how sweet she was with Chloe. We are grateful and already rebooked her for another trip later this summer. Thank you Katherine for the great care you provided to Chloe!”

“Desirae was so accommodating and helpful! This is my first puppy and this was my first time leaving him with someone... She exceeded my expectation and gave me a piece of mind while I was at work. I will be booking her weekly”

About: Dogs have always held a special place in my heart. I believe they teach us unconditional love, help us stay present, and enrich our lives in countless ways. I love dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities, though I have a particular appreciation for larger breeds such as Pit Bulls, Dobermans, and Rottweilers. Over the years, I've spent countless hours learning about canine behavior, training, and communication to better understand their needs and how they experience the world. My beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Bella, was my companion for 13 wonderful years. During the last five years of her life, she lived with diabetes, requiring twice-daily insulin injections, regular veterinary care, and cataract surgery. Caring for her taught me patience, attentiveness, and the importance of providing consistent, compassionate care—especially for dogs with special medical needs. I understand that pets are family. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, companionship, or extra care and attention, I'll treat them with the same love, respect, and responsibility that I gave my own. I currently work from home while building my real estate investment business, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be attentive to the needs of the pets in my care. My day typically starts between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. with meditation and exercise, followed by work from my home office. Because I set my own schedule, I can easily accommodate walks, feeding schedules, playtime, potty breaks, medication needs, and plenty of companionship throughout the day. If your dog is boarding with me, I enjoy incorporating outdoor walks into my daily routine and can provide regular exercise, enrichment, and one-on-one attention. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. I care for pets according to their owner's preferred schedule and routine whenever possible. I understand that consistency helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and secure, whether they're in my home or their own. I take the time to learn each pet's feeding schedule, exercise needs, medication requirements, favorite activities, and any special instructions. My goal is to provide attentive, loving care while maintaining the routines and boundaries that are important to both the pet and their family.
“Kailey did a great job taking care of my cat and making sure her space was tidy while I was away. She sat with her and read to keep her company. I would recommend her services”

“Elizabeth was amazing! She and Ruby got along great, Elizabeth was great at letting us know exactly how she was doing and didn't hesitate to clean up any of Ruby's accidents. We will definitely be using Elizabeth in the future!”
