4. Kenneth D.
“As long as i've known Kenneth Dumas he's always been found to be a compassionate lover of animals, especially dogs. He's taken in big dogs like labs, medium mixed-breed dogs, and small dogs like terriers. Strays off the street and dogs people have trusted to take care of in their abscence, whether the owners were going away for a temporary summer vacation, moving to another state and the owner couldn't bring the dog with them for whatever reason, or simply a family dog that the owner, unfortunately was getting older and less mobile. Kenneth is always the go-to guy to help out in that regard. When I last saw him late last year he had adopted an adorable brown and white mid-sized dog named Bella. Bella is by all accounts a loyal, protective, and fun loving dog who Kenneth has very-well trained whether she's inside or outside chasing sticks. This isn't surprising considering who her caretaker is. Also, Kenneth has told me that one of the more personal reasons he enjoys walking and taking care of dogs is that the daily dog walks he goes on allows him to stay fit, "get his steps in" , I think is the phrase. So in conclusion, I think Kenneth Dumas would make an excellent pet caregiver to anyone who would solicit his services. He's attentive to the animals needs, has no problem taking them to parks to run out that energy, and has a demeanor that any animals that are fortunate enough to meet him immediately trusts and sense that he'll make sure they are happy and healthy. Can't recommend enough.”

About: I’ve been working in the veterinary field for 15 years, so I’ve pretty much seen it all from different sizes even down to different illnesses. I’ve even taken care of animals who are diabetic. Making sure your pet feels safe and loved is what I do best! I’m currently trying to make this my full time job. Caring for animals is what I love doing and it’s what I’m good at, So making time for my future clients will be no problem at all. I have open availability! At this time I will only be offering at home visits or overnight visits at the clients home. So your house your rules. All pets are double leashed for safety precautions while outdoors (on walk). I do carry disposable bags to pick up after they are done and I carry water on the walk to ensure no pet gets dehydrated or has a heatstroke. Safety and health are number one.

About: I come from a family of pet lovers. We’ve had everything from hamsters to guinea pigs to chihuahuas and even a German shepherd, (I forgot the birds!) I love all animals. Recently, I’ve been pet sitting on the side of my nursing job. It makes me so happy to see a happy animal full of all the love they have! I’m currently traveling back and forth from New Orleans to San Francisco for work. I’m hoping to help people that need pet care like I do. I am open to how each client cares for their pets. I don’t crate my dog, but he can crate trained. I know feeding schedules can vary. No pet is alike. They all have a unique reason why we love them!

10. Evlin L.

“Evlin was the best! Not only did she take a great walk with Bruno but she put up with his pulling and shared great dog tips with me. I will definitely use her again!”

11. Marion F.
“I have known Marion for many years. She is a trustworthy and conscientious individual who does everything she endeavors to the best of her ability. She loves animals (mostly dogs!) and is a kind and loving caregiver to her own furbaby Jack. I am confident she will give Rover's clients her best effort to care for their dogs under her care.”

12. Lindsay P.

“I have a pretty nervous Pitty and Lindsay has been wonderful with him. He has really opened up to her and looks forward to his walks. He doesn’t like a lot of people, but he likes Lindsay!”

13. Cindy O.
“Cindy is an excellent dog sitter. Over the last ten years, she has cared for our dog, Lindsey. Either for a short weekend, or for an extended vacation my husband and went on. We had no worries knowing he was in good hands. Cindy lives alone and has no pets of her own because she does go out of town occasionally. She has a doggy door in her kitchen which allows Lindsey to go to her huge fenced-in back yard carpeted with St. Augustine grass. Cindy is trustworthy and reliable. Dogs don't lie, and if they like you, you know it. Cindy loves my Lindsey, and he loves her too. If Cindy is available, you would be blessed for her to care for your dog.”

14. Sonjia M.
“Sonjia is the absolute best human being out there that you would want in your house or to take care of your pets! She is professional and very nice. From the moment you meet her you'll have the feeling you've known her for years. My pets absolutely loved her when she was staying here! She took great care of them (and our house) and she is definitely my number 1 person to go to when we are going to leave again. So in one word, Sonjia is: perfect!”

15. Elena M.

17. Shalyn K.
About: Hi there! I'm Shalyn! I can't wait to meet your dog! Here's a little bit about me and my love for animals. I have 5 years of professional pet care experience, and I'm happy to provide references! I previously worked for Aarf Pet Care in Salt Lake City Utah and recently moved to New Orleans. I'm looking to continue working with and caring for animals of all types! My friends and coworkers joke and say that I'm a literal dog person. As in, a dog in the form of a human. I have never met a dog that I dont immediately love and form a connection with. To me, happiness is in the presence of a dog, or a warm cat, or any animal really. I have one dog who is my ultimate companion. She's an energized senior dog with lots of love to give. (She gets it from her mama) She and I love to wander trails and rivers and creeks that flow through the city and neighborhoods, and we would always love more friends to join us. She is very welcoming of guests and knows when to give them their space, but also loves to play and see them again. I am a very compassionate and patient person. I understand nervous behaviors and how to soothe any discomfort. I worked with Zooey for about a year and a half and her anxieties have almost disappeared. I always make sure I'm keeping consistency with how other dogs are trained and how their families prefer they behave and are treated at all times. I would love to lend help for vacations and work or whatever is needed from me to provide for you pets and give them the best experience while their owners are away. Thank you for considering me! With love, Shalyn I'm currently available all day on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays! I am looking to fill those days with adventure and pets! However I am unfortunately not available on weekends before 6pm and I have no availability on fridays. Unfortunately, at this time, i Will not be able to watch pets at my home. I currently lack the space inside and out, and I've got a puppy (a big one) who is still learning how to he respectful 😅

18. Jordan P.
“Jordan is wonderful with my dog, Mr. Waffles. He's a bit needy and very particular about people and they took the time to get to know him and build their relationship. Jordan is one of his favorite people now! They are consistently available and help me feel at ease about Mr. Waffles safety and happiness. 10/10 animal companion.”

19. Ulyana S.

“Ulyana is very intuitive about dogs. She will take great care of your dog! I highly recommend her.”
