About: I've been caring for dogs for eight years! I started in high school when I regularly looked after my neighbor's three dogs for anywhere from a few days to a couple of months at a time. I quickly learned each dog's individual needs: their walk schedule, bathroom habits, eating preferences, and how to get them to take their meds. They were all different sizes and breeds, and I loved every minute of it. Since then I've expanded my experience through Rover, caring for multiple dogs across a variety of households. When I visit, I'm responsible and thorough. I make sure water bowls are filled, each dog gets real playtime and attention, meals are portioned correctly, and everything is secure before I leave. Honestly, animals are just a huge part of my everyday life. I have my own gray cat named Pluto, who I've had for six years and who is absolutely the light of my life. Between my sisters and my closest friends, I'm around anywhere from two to six cats on any given day, so pets are my life. I would have had a dog too if my parents had let me! I treat every dog I visit like they're my own. There's something so special about bonding with a pet since they're each so unique, and getting to make new furry friends through is an absolute joy. I just finished my undergraduate degree so I'm on summer break before I start my graduate program in August. This means that I am completely flexible and can come in on any days at any times to care for your fur babies! For drop-ins, I cover all the basics: food, water, cleaning up messes, bringing in the mail, making sure everything is locked up tight. But what I care about most is that each pet actually feels loved while their owner is away. I take my time with every visit and give each animal real attention, not just a quick pass-through. When pets are worried, anxious, or want to play, I like to spend a lot of extra time with them so they can feel safe and loved.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have experience with a wide range of personalities, from high-energy dogs to more sensitive or anxious ones. I’m especially attentive to a dog’s emotional needs and body language, and I prioritize making them feel safe, calm, and understood in their environment. I have hands-on experience with crate training, building positive associations, and helping dogs develop confidence when left alone. I’m patient, consistent, and gentle in my approach, and I tailor care to each dog rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I treat every dog as if they were my own and aim to create a calm, secure experience for them while you’re away. I occasionally bring my well-socialized dog with me for longer stays, but only with prior approval and proper introductions. I currently work from home and spend most of the time at my time at home, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I structure my days around walks, play, and downtime, and I’m mindful of keeping routines consistent so pets feel secure. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, and extended care on both weekdays and weekends, and I prioritize being present and your dogs will rarely, if at all, be left alone. I provide a calm, structured, and attentive environment where your pet’s safety and comfort are the top priority. I pay close attention to body language, energy levels, and individual needs, and I adjust my approach to help each dog feel secure and understood. I’m experienced with crate use, positive reinforcement, and helping dogs settle in new environments. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible and take care to avoid overwhelming situations, especially for more sensitive or anxious dogs. In your home or mine, I maintain a clean, predictable space and ensure pets are supervised, exercised appropriately, and never left in situations where they could feel unsafe or stressed.
About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: Hi! I’ve had dogs my entire life and they’ve always been at the center of my world. My most recent pup, Effy, was with me for 15 years — she was truly the love of my life. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I couldn’t imagine my life without them, which is why I’m so excited to be here on Rover! Your pet will be loved and cared for like my own. I can’t wait to meet them I work from home Monday–Friday, so your pet will have my full attention throughout the day — no long stretches alone. I am able to work remotely so care during the day is no issue. I live in an apartment in Meraux above my dad’s office, so while there’s no yard, we have plenty of space to get outside for walks. There are stairs, but I’m happy to carry pets up and down as needed.
“Deana was fantastic. She showed up on time, had a bubbly and friendly personality, was very communicative and efficient and warm with the pups. One of my dogs is really smart and judgmental and she immediately rolled on her back for pets and scratches and wagged her tail as soon as Deana walked up (and was a total stranger to her). I highly recommend her and we will use her again!”

“Chloe is dedicated to walking my pup who loves her. She braves all weather conditions and schedule changes with a good attitude. My dog Sophie gets the zoomies after every walk.”

About: I've had dogs all of my adult life. I had 6 at one time and now have 2 Chihuahuas who I adore. I love all pets and want to be your pups best friend. I regularly pet sit for my 2 kids' dogs (Frenchie, Australian shepherd and golden doodle). I've also pet sat at a good friend's house for her 3 pups and brought my 2 also. I am retired so I have a lot of free time. I can walk or visit your pups regularly. My schedule is very flexible. I can help out at any time. I have a fenced yard and it is secure. My pups can't get out and they get along with all dogs. My pups are treated like the king and queen they are.
About: I lost my own dog, Maika, a few years ago. She was 14 years old but it was way too early … I’m not ready to get a new dog myself, so Rover has been perfect. I moved to New Orleans a few years ago from Minnesota, where I was also an active member of Rover. My partner, Jonathan, and I bought a house that was built in 1909 — originally as an outdoor market in Holy Cross. It’s now a huge open space attached to a large fenced in yard. Dogs love it!. The dogs hang with me and I usually leave the door open to the back yard, which is basically a mini park with several fruit trrees. The neighborhood itself is also wonderful, there’s a large open field that is fenced in, I a great place for playing fetch or chasing frisbees. The levee is also perfect for long morning or evening walks. I''m a writer and work from home, so having a pup or two around is a real pleasure. I often take the dogs on walks or runs along the levee. But there’s also plenty of space in the house in yard if they just want to chill at home. Usually I work and puddle about doing arts and crafts and doggy's tag behind. The yard has both sunny spots and nice shade… Perfect for the pups.

About: Hi, I’m Ashley, owner of Woofrey’s Wags & Wellness! I have years of professional experience in the animal industry, including managing dog daycare and boarding facilities, as well as managing a veterinary molecular diagnostics company specializing in PCR testing for animals of every kind, literally A to Z, from anteaters to zebras! My background combines hands on pet care with animal health knowledge, allowing me to provide attentive, safety focused care for pets of all ages, breeds, personalities, and medical needs. I am also PACCC Certified, a Certified Professional Animal Care Provider, as well as Pet CPR and First Aid Certified. My home is designed to be a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where dogs are treated like family. Guests are welcome throughout the home and can enjoy cozy dog beds, the couch, enrichment toys, tunnels, brush outs, a kiddie pool, a fully fenced yard, and plenty of photo updates during their stay. Dogs are welcome to sleep in bed with me if that’s what they’re used to, or they can be kenneled if that’s their normal routine. Because I have two friendly resident dogs, all boarding and daycare guests must be comfortable around dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and genders. Playgroups are carefully matched based on temperament, play style, size, and energy level. My home is generally best suited for low to medium energy dogs, and I especially love caring for senior pets and laid back personalities. High energy dogs are welcomed on a case by case basis. Safety is always my top priority, so I do have a few requirements before accepting bookings. • Dogs should be potty trained. I completely understand that occasional accidents happen, especially during transitions or with puppies learning routines. However, frequent accidents or ongoing indoor marking may not be the best fit for my home. • Puppies are welcome, but I ask that owners are completely transparent about their current potty training progress and care needs. • Please disclose any bite history, behavioral concerns, previous daycare dismissals, reactivity, resource guarding, destructive habits, separation anxiety, escaping crates, counter surfing, digging, chewing, or other behaviors that may affect their stay. • Dogs displaying normal stress behaviors such as growling, air snaps, baring teeth, or setting boundaries while uncomfortable are not automatically disqualified. However, true aggression toward people or other animals is not accepted. I maintain a zero tolerance policy for aggression within my home. Transparency allows me to safely manage personalities, prevent conflicts, and create the best experience for everyone. Please also let me know whether your dog is kennel trained, whether they need to be crated when left alone, and if they relax well in a kennel or become stressed while confined. Depending on each dog’s behavior and routine, many guests are able to enjoy supervised free roam privileges. Since Rover does not cover damage inside a sitter’s personal home, owners are responsible for any damages caused during a stay. Repair or replacement costs may apply, with a minimum charge of $100 if damage occurs. While my home environment is intentionally structured and carefully managed, I am also comfortable taking on more complex behavioral or medical cases within a client’s home. My care style focuses on structure, enrichment, positive guidance, manners, redirection, safety, and making every dog feel comfortable, confident, and at home. Every routine is individualized because no two dogs are exactly alike. If you’re new to Rover, feel free to use my referral link for $20 off your first booking. NOTE: Rover keeps 20% of sitter earnings while adding approximately 11% in fees to the client. The more I know about your dog’s routine, personality, quirks, anxieties, favorite activities, and individual needs, the better I can tailor their stay. I would always rather know too much than not enough. Thank you so much for taking the time to read through everything and for considering me with your pet’s care. I truly believe great communication creates the safest and most enjoyable experience for everyone, especially your pet. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else, and I never take that responsibility lightly. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! Pet care is an important part of my daily routine. I make sure pets get plenty of exercise, attention, and care throughout the day. Whether it’s morning walks, feeding schedules, playtime, or administering any special care they need, I prioritize their well-being. I also plan my schedule to allow flexibility for pet sitting, ensuring I can accommodate different needs, whether it’s daily walks, overnight stays, or drop-ins I have a fully fenced yard and a friendly fur baby to keep your pup company! There are plenty of enrichment toys to keep them busy, along with natural, tasty treats for some extra tail wags. It’s definitely a dog’s world in this household!
