About: I’ve had dogs and cats in my life since I was a kid, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with senior and younger pets. I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs. About: After a tragically pet-free childhood, I've spent the last 20 years seeking out any opportunity to care for animals—from free dog walking for friends and cat-sitting for vacationing pals to hiking with hounds and being a designated vet chauffeur. I love exploring the outdoors with a dog, chucking sticks across empty fields, and praising them for every "good stretch"! I do everything I can to make pet parents feel comfortable and assured when they leave their furry friends in my care—including plenty of photos and updates! I work from home as a writer/editor and a live-edge woodworker, so my schedule is entirely flexible and under my control. I have a fenced-in backyard with ample shade where I often write and work, so outside time is always available for the animals I care for. I love walking the city and wandering through green spaces, especially Audubon Park and City Park, and having a puppy pal to accompany me makes it even more enjoyable. My interior home space is approximately 1,800 square feet, with multiple couches and rooms and sunspots for dogs and/or cats to relax and lounge. The fenced-in backyard is well-secured with a 6-foot fence for stress-free bathroom breaks, and my active lifestyle takes me on at least 2 longer walks each day, typically in the morning and evening. At a client's home, I pride myself on being highly adaptable to new routines and expectations, and my career as an editor makes me very attentive to details, e.g., medication needs, feeding times, sleep schedules, walk durations, etc. Whether you need someone to pop in and play with your pooch for an hour, or leave your animal at my home for a longer trip, you can rest assured they will be cared for, loved and pampered in a safe and comfortable environment.

About: Growing up, my mom raised dogs and puppies and trained them in obedience. I was also fascinated and helped out where I could and learned a lot about dog training. Now, I have a dog of my own that I have trained as a service animal. I'm very detail-oriented and understand pets are creatures of habit and will work to keep your pets routines consistent. I love having animals around and genuinely enjoy caring for them. Most days I work from home, so I take care of my pets needs as they come up. On days where I am not home, my dog understands the routines and schedules because I keep them consistent, regardless of if I am going out for 1 hour or 8 hours. My yard is completely fenced in with lots of space and lines of sight to ensure their safety. I have an extra crate in my home, in case your pet needs support with crate training or feels safer that way. I also have extra bowls and leashes, just in case! I want to make sure you feel completely comfortable leaving your pet with me and knowing they will be safe and cared for.
