About: Mine was a dog family. My parents showed Chow Chows and Bichon Frisés at dog shows around the country with me in tow as a junior handler grooming, training, and caring for our dogs. In college, rather than wait tables, I worked as a kennel assistant and then as a veterinarian assistant during post-grad, spending weekends caring for medical boarders, administering meds and keeping lonely, isolated dogs company. I’m a deeply attached and passionate rescue advocate and animal-lover. My pets have all been mostly large, lovable mixed-breed dogs and second-chance stories like Betsey. Professionally, I have 20+ years of experience as a copywriter and creative strategist. Before starting Betsey & Julie Walk Dogs, I spent the past year as a Dog Handler at Pawlins Day Care — under the tutelage of all kinds of dogs. I’m a freelance writer and I work from home. I share this home with Betsey, an incredibly sweet five-year-old Labrador Retriever. I’m available and actively involved in your dog’s enrichment and overall experience. I’m active and attentive. Betsey and I are affectionate and accommodating. We love walks, parks, toys, treats, and cuddling. We think your dog will love spending time with us.

About: I have one year of experience working at Pet Supermarket, where I worked around many different types of animals and gained hands-on experience caring for pets. I also helped wash dogs in the Doggy Wash station, so I’m comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and personalities. I’m patient, attentive, and enjoy making sure pets feel safe, clean, comfortable, and cared for. I’m a Xavier student with a flexible schedule, and I’m able to come home between classes during my breaks to check on, walk, feed, or spend time with pets. I’m also available after classes during the week and have more open availability on weekends. I’m happy to work with each pet parent to create a routine that works best for their pet. I live in an apartment with plenty of safe outdoor areas nearby for walks and potty breaks. I always supervise pets, follow their normal routines, keep fresh water available, and make sure they’re comfortable and safe.

About: I will talk and sing with animals. Animals are the best judge of character so I make sure I’m always paying attention to their needs and energy. I know when to play and I know when to be calm for them. I have a day job in mid city, but I do have hour lunch breaks. It’s very centrally located. I also am a night owl so I am available most nights. I live in the bywater area so I don’t mind traveling to where I need to go. If it is a client’s home. I stick to the rules and requests that are made for me. I enjoy walking animals or playing in one’s backyard with them.

About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.

About: I've always loved animals and am naturally compassionate. While growing up my family had a small breed dog, and I personally owned hamsters and fish which I was the sole caretaker of. I am also a former Junior [Zoo] Keeper, which equipped me with reptile care experience. As an adult, I have had a German Shepherd, cats, and fish as well. I am adaptable and am confident in my ability to provide competent care for a wide variety of species. I am available for house sitting any days of the week, and available for drop-ins and walks after 5pm Mon-Fri and all throughout weekend days. About: I am a huge animal lover and advocate for all fur babies. I currently own four pets ( two cats and two dogs). I volunteer at the shelter and give back to the community. I have pet sat for my friends and families dogs and only recently decided to do this as a side gig. If you were to ask any of my friends and family, one of the main things they would describe about me is my love and care for animals. I go above and beyond. Just last year I picked up four lost dogs and reunited them with their owners. I also helped to TNR the kitties in my neighborhood and now have 3 permanent porch kitties 😂. You will never have to question if your pets are in good hands. I am also familiar with medium to large dogs and reactive dogs. My two dogs are reactive and I have learned a lot over the last 8-9 years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I can take your dog for walks or potty breaks throughout the week and even more flexible during the weekends. If your pet would need to stay with me, I have a large fenced in yard and a guest bedroom where they can set up their own space away from my animals

About: I have have been caring of all types of animals since I was 7+ years old. I have taken care of new born puppies, kittens, raccoons and reptiles of all types throughout my life and I love it!! If I could cuddle a gator I would!!! I have also done whelping services for many family members. I have done a lot of fostering and bottle feeding both puppies and kittens. I’m currently working only for Rover. So I can dedicate all my time to your fur baby and his/her needs and the loving care and schedule you want for them. However I am instructed to. I am there to make you and your pet comfortable while away. It can be stressful for pet and pet parents when they are not together. I try to keep your pets schedule as similar to what they are used to with you. Feeding/ walking/ playing/ sleeping/ waking up will all be as close to their normal schedule as possible. Their comfort is my first priority.

About: Raised on a large family farm, I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes and there hasn't been one I haven't loved! I have soooo many years of experience with caring for all different kinds of pets. I've owned horses, dogs, cats, reptiles, turtles, fish and have over the years helped with the care of others' as well as plenty of other farm and small animals. I even have my own temperamental pup coexisting with 2 kitties, so I have good intuition seeing signs of stress and pets feeling "off" before it turns into anything. rest assured your pets are safe with me! I've been working on a career shift and I'm looking to be able to spend more of my working hours with your pet! I currently bartend part-time and am working on trying to do less of that, so I have plenty of extra time to care for your BFF when you are unable to! I will treat your pets with the utmost respect and love and will follow any instructions needed for their care and can send updates upon visits! Your babies are my babies, too!

About: I've been caring for dogs ever since I could walk. I had my first dog at 2 and ever since then I've had a lot of other dogs from all various breeds and sizes. My Wife and I have a Golden Doodle now and she takes so much pampering and care. We've been caring for Animals ever since my youth and I love doing it. I work a part-time job so I have more then enough time to care for your pup and help with anything you need for your furry family member.! We have a small Golden Doodle who loves company and also we have a huge yard for the dogs to run around and play until they can't.
