I cared for my own dog in her later years when she developed back leg problems. I helped her move around the house, made sure she was comfortable, and gave her lots of love and patience every day. I additionally took care of my other dog in her early months waking up multiple times nightly to calm her down. Whether it’s a high-energy puppy or a senior pet needing extra care, I’m confident in handling all kinds of needs. About: Growing up, my mom raised dogs and puppies and trained them in obedience. I was also fascinated and helped out where I could and learned a lot about dog training. Now, I have a dog of my own that I have trained as a service animal. I'm very detail-oriented and understand pets are creatures of habit and will work to keep your pets routines consistent. I love having animals around and genuinely enjoy caring for them. Most days I work from home, so I take care of my pets needs as they come up. On days where I am not home, my dog understands the routines and schedules because I keep them consistent, regardless of if I am going out for 1 hour or 8 hours. My yard is completely fenced in with lots of space and lines of sight to ensure their safety. I have an extra crate in my home, in case your pet needs support with crate training or feels safer that way. I also have extra bowls and leashes, just in case! I want to make sure you feel completely comfortable leaving your pet with me and knowing they will be safe and cared for.

About: I've had pets my entire life. I'm retired now and travel extensively for part of the year, so I'm unable to have pets of my own and thought this would be a great way to keep busy while I am in town. I have a doggy door and a large, gated backyard for games of fetch or hide and seek. I will provide a safe, loving home while you are away or drop-in if you so choose. When I'm in NOLA, I often work part-time from home. I'm retired so you could call me a homebody, and I'm often found working in my garden. In the fourth quarter of the year, I do travel until thanksgiving but will keep my calendar here updated. I am relatively flexible with scheduling. My son recently moved and took his Boston Terrier with him, so there are no longer any pets in my home. I have a large, fenced yard perfect for games of hide-and-seek or fetch, and I'm often in the back as well working on my garden. I do not have any plants that would present a danger. I love to take long, daily walks on the levee, which is only two blocks away...and would love to bring your pet along! I often have family visit, who also love pets.
