About: I began volunteering at my city's animal shelter at the age of thirteen, dog walking, and I quickly began taking on more responsibilities at the shelter from there. By the time I was fifteen, I was volunteering in vet services, helping with adoption events, and doing critter care, where I socialized and took care of small animals like rabbits, rats, guinea pigs, and mice. During my time as a volunteer, I began a veterinary assisting program. I spent five days a week providing care to dogs, cats, horses, and rodents while learning proper medical procedures. Within that care, I attentively followed tailored feeding and kenneling instructions meant to keep the animals safe and healthy. Through my time at my tech school, I gained my OSHA 10 healthcare-focused certification, my HIV, Bloodborne Pathogen certification, and I graduated with my veterinary assisting certification. After graduating, I began working at my city's animal shelter as a Student Day Laborer and Veterinary Assistant, as well as pet sitting for people living in and around my city. At the animal shelter, I handled dogs with various behavioral challenges, including nipping, jumping, barking, pulling, lunging, and multiple kinds of reactivity. I maintained a clean and tidy environment by cleaning up many kinds of bodily fluids and parasites to ensure the comfort and health of the animals. During my time there, I fostered several dogs from the euthanasia list to provide them with proper enrichment and training to make them less frustrated and more adoptable. I have experience providing medical care and enrichment to puppies as young as three weeks old and senior dogs. I am a college student, but I am currently on summer break, so I am available every day except for Thursdays and Fridays. I am very flexible with my schedule when it comes to work and am willing to work with people on timing. I am capable of providing medical care and following specific feeding instructions that have been provided to me by the owner. I provide appropriate enrichment and exercise for different age ranges and breeds.

“Autumn did a great job getting nico to feel comfortable and trusting and left nicely detailed notes. I had a family emergency and had to get a dog walker quickly and Autumn was very flexible and helpful. Thank you!”

About: I have experience in vet med, so I will be able to keep a detail-oriented eye on your pet's health and wellbeing. If it comes to it, I can take your beloved companion to the vet clinic while you're out of town and see to any at-home care they need, no problem. I currently make my income entirely through app-based freelance work, making it easy to interweave schedules. I can check in on your pet, go out and work for 2-3 hours, then come back again. ADHD tendencies serve me well in this situation-- I can focus on a show, a book, or working on my laptop, while still being peripherally aware of what your pet is doing, and taking time to check in and give lots of scritches and belly-rubs. I live in a shared housing situation, so I have plenty of experience leaving an environment that is not my own exactly as I found it.

“Paulina was great. She was as very responsive when we reached out and was willing to make changes to times as we needed. We would definitely recommend her to others.”

About: I've taken care of dogs who love everyone and those who are as choosy as cats in their people. I share my home with four cats, each one with their own style of pets and play (and their own diets). Every animal, just like every person, has their own personality. My goal is to pay attention and interact with them in a way that makes them feel safe, loved, and...if they're up for it...entertained. Need someone to walk your canine companions for a couple miles and then follow detailed instructions on which doggo gets what food and treats? That's me. Does your cat need someone to feed it and then sit in quietly in the same room for company without insisting on pets? That's me, too. Additionally, I have experience with administering medication to both cats and dogs (pills, inhalers, injections). I'm a remote-first professional, so my schedule is fairly flexible. Animals thrive with consistent routines, so I make a point to arrive on time and follow all owner directions. I regularly book between 7 AM and 9 PM, but currently my schedule is tight. Morning appointments are available if timing is flexible +\- a couple hours. My goal is to ensure that pets feel as safe and loved. Animals thrive on routine, so I'll be on time and follow your directions to ensure as much normalcy as possible while you're away. I have four cats, all of whom have different diets, play styles, and stranger tolerance, so I'm used to paying close attention to details. I'll earn your pets' trust by following your directions and adapting my approach to their needs. As a pet parent, I understand the importance of knowing how your companions are doing while you're away. I'll always check in with you and include pictures and updates. I'll never hesitate to reach out if I have any concerns or questions. While your pet is in my care, they are my number one priority.

“Madisen watched our dog while the family visited the aquarium. She was so friendly, responsive, and timely and made us feel comfortable leaving our dog under her care. Our dog had a great time too and was nice and tired after the walks. Would definitely book her again!”

“Señe was amazing with our Daphne! You could tell immediately that she knew, loved and understood dogs. She was on time, professional and took the cutest pics of our pup on her walk. We look forward to booking walks with Señe again and again! !”

About: I have been working in animal care professionally since 2021, I graduated college from the vet tech program in 2023 and have been working at a vet clinic ever since! I also volunteer a lot with local animal rescues! I work 8am-5pm Tuesday through Friday. I do go to the gym after work for about an hour or less. I’m free all day on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. I keep things fun and relaxed by sticking to your dog’s (or cat’s) usual routine and pace. I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, playtime, exercise, and any special needs. Safety is my priority—I stay aware of surroundings to ensure your pup enjoys every walk stress-free and energized.

Jön O.
“Jön has always been a lover of animals and a responsible caretaker for them. From a young age he took responsibility for training and caring for our family's dog. As an adult, I've trusted him to care for my cats many times, and he has gone above and beyond to feed, groom, and play with them while I'm away. If my cats could type, they would share that they're always thrilled to see him and would recommend his services to any animal in need.”

Paulina V.Star Sitter

“Lily followed all my instructions!”

Patricia H.
“I can’t recommend Patricia enough as a caring and responsible pet caregiver! She brings such warmth and friendliness to her work, and it’s clear she views pet care as nurturing a living being, not just a checklist of tasks. Patricia truly goes the extra mile to ensure each pet feels safe, loved, and happy. She’s an amazing communicator, always keeping me updated, so I feel completely at ease when she’s caring for my pets. Her attention to detail is incredible—she notices even the smallest things. Knowing Patricia is with my pets gives me total peace of mind. If you’re looking for a compassionate, attentive, and genuinely wonderful caregiver for your animals, Patricia is the one to call!”

Ryan M.

“Ryan has been amazing, she connected with my dog right away, Ryan send me pictures and kept me informed on their walks, I totally recommend her.”

Kiana L.
“My own personal experince with Kiana when it comes to pet care has been solid and reliable. We had happened to work at the same dog boarding facility and one key trait that stood out to me about her work ethic was punctuality. When it came to a dogs medication, she was alway on top and on time with administering. Wanting to know as much information about the dogs that owners could provide, while also letting the dogs come to Kiana to show off their personalities. It is hard to say I haven't met a dog that did not enjoy Kiana's presence.”

Landon S.

“Landon is awesome- great communicator, asked clarifying questions and sent lots of pics! Hoping to use him again for future dog walk needs. Thanks Landon!”
Roosevelt dog parents share their Rover experiences
Deanna was amazing with watching our girls. During our meet and greet I could tell she was a perfect fit and she exceeded expectations. She checked in continuously throughout her time with our girls, sent photos, and took them to their favorite spots! We look forward to booking with Deanna again in the future.

Yvonne seriously goes above and beyond! We booked her last minute and she had no issue with stopping in to take our pup for a walk while we were away. She walked him for over 50 minutes which was just wonderful! Gave us so many pictures which made us really happy to see our baby. Really love having Yvonne as our go-to for Joey (pup).

Thank you to Meilin for her patience with our loving yet stubborn pup. She is always so kind, loving and sweet to him and takes the time to let him warm up to her. I have seen so much improvement already in our doggies attitude towards walks and I owe it all to Meilin! She also always sends updates and photos!
