About: I’ve spent my entire life growing up around many animals and always being taught to treat each one like family. I’ve taken care of many types of animals, owned multiple exotic animals of my own, co-ran a pet sitting business where at one point I was watching 13+ animals at the same time, and am comfortable with every breed, from the never ending energy of a border collie to taking it slow with a senior dog. I am a young, responsible and professional adult, I love the outdoors and taking dogs out into it, I am someone who thrives in an organized environment and am patient and more than willing to work with animals that need to build trust. My top priority is always the safety and happiness of the pets I take care of, always ensuring they are getting the mental stimulation they need as well as knowing their behavior and being able to accordingly keep them in situations they are comfortable and happy in. I work part time as a baker, I have most availability during the week M-Th, but am available most weekend afternoons/evenings. I love getting out into nature and am very willing to work with you to fit dog walks, boarding or whatever else you may need with my schedule! I live in a townhouse with a large shared park/lawn/patio area a few seconds away from my front door. I also have many many walking trails and parks within a few minutes from me that are all off of busy roads/areas and take you through forested areas, marsh, and large fields. I always carry everything I might need in any emergency situation with an animal I’m taking care of, I am always very aware of my surroundings and am very good at catching animals behaviors before any situation has escalated and am able to prevent them, from both my animals and strangers. I have spent lots of time training and many hours learning about animals and the physical warnings they show in discomfort, I have always been able to safely remove or prevent my own pets as well as clients from a stressful situation. I have no trouble standing up for my animal if a stranger isn’t taking proper care of theirs and will always ALWAYS put myself between them and harms way.

About: My family and I have been dog owners for 13 years. I know have 3 back at home and miss them dearly. So I would be grateful for the opportunity to have some fun and exercise with your pups! I’ve raised a litter of pitbulls when I was 10 years old which gave me hands on care with animals. Along with that I’m a cna who’s going to school for nursing so I have the knack for caring for others. I love to run and would love to take some pups on runs if that’s okay with you. Love going for walks as well of course! When back home I’m very active in pet care from morning to night. Feed, play, exercise, and cuddles! My pups are a big part of my family. No pups where I live currently, so would love to walk and run with yours. Dogs are a humans best friend, and I have a lot of puppy love to share!

“We were very impressed with Emily's excellent communication. Shackleton had a wonderful time with her and she was fanatic at managing a large and opinionated doggo! We highly recommend Emily for dog walking and will definitely request her in the future when we need a walker.”

In your home I will be sure to follow all guidelines, and I am more than willing do to the special little things you want for your pet!

About: I grew up walking my neighbor's dogs and have always had a soft spot in my heart for them. I feel a kindred connection to Huskies because of my active lifestyle, but really just like all dogs. I can run, walk, or Netfix with all breeds! I work in the schools and am currently on summer break, so I have time to get into dog walking and pet sitting more consistently at the moment. Dogs are quite friendly and respectful with me. I'd like to think I am the same with them in that I can lead them but also follow their cues. I can also adhere to whatever instructions the owners give when sitting or walking.

“Very reliable.”

About: I have lived with dogs and cats my entire life, growing up with large dog breeds primarily. I am fine working with all types of behaviors and ages of animals and would love to care for yours! I am currently very open to any time or day of the week. I am an active person and would be happy to take dogs on long walks or hikes if they need a more active lifestyle. I cannot host dogs at my own home but would be happy to care for them at your home! I have experience house sitting, dog sitting, cat sitting, and can provide references if needed.

“Nichole is amazing! She came on short notice and walked our dog for several days before Christmas. She was very prompt and responsive. She is a huge dog lover and took great care of our dog. She sent pictures, text updates of every walk and even a holiday dog biscuit and chocolates for us on Christmas Eve. We would call on Nichole anytime. She’s a fantastic person.”

About: From taking your puppy on a long run, to reading a book to your senior cat, I can do it all, (hopefully)! I have provided repeat pet sitting/dog walking and cat sitting for many consistent repeat clients within the past 8 years (and more before then if you count the family dog growing up :) Unfortunately most clients have not been through the Rover app and so my profile reviews may not reflect it. I have uploaded as many photos as I can! I have cared for small to large dogs, cats, rabbits, and I love them all. I am in my late 20’s and fairly active, so enjoy taking your dog on a long walk or run if they need. But also enjoy watching a show and hanging out with them on the couch if they don’t :) I can pick up poo, vomit, deal with lots of fur, and don’t mind a mess! I grew up with 75 lb dogs my whole life, and currently live with my 8 lb rabbit. About 8 years ago I moved to Bellingham for college, and graduated from WWU with a BA in Finance. I have volunteered at the Whatcom Humane Society and have taken their training on cat care as well. I am trained in first aide/CPR and have watched videos about dog/cat sitter. No professional training but I would always call a vet first. I WFH, M-F, 8-5 about 3 days of the week. Due to this, I am usually available to let your pet out for potty breaks during the day. I take a 1 hr lunch and love to take advantage of that time to take your pet on a longer walk (or run). Aside from my work schedule, I am even more available when I’m not working! I will let you know if there is a day or time I am not available. Just shoot me a message if you’re curious about my calendar. I unfortunately live in an apartment, and am unable to house your pet within my home. I am very careful to always keep your pet on their leash, and obey any safety/care instructions left by the owner. I always ensure to lock doors, close gates, and set alarms when needed. Your pet’s care is of the upmost importance to me, and I will always make sure they have fresh water, and are well fed.

“She cares a lot about the dogs she is walking and I appreciated all the updates and ease of communication. I’ll be hiring Mikayla for more walks.”

About: I've grown up with lots of different pets (dogs, cats, horse, sheep, llamas, rabbits, and hedgehogs) and absolutely love spending time with them. Family and friends have entrusted me with their beloved pets when they were out of town or needed additional help. Something else you should know about me is that I am an avid walker and any day I get to take pets out on outdoor adventures is a wonderful day.
