I have a seasonal job for the summer here in Bellingham and have time on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to look after your pets! Whether you need care in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings, I will be available.

When working in a client's home, I always try to be respectful of their established practices/rules for their pets. Responsible entry and exit from homes and similar tasks is important as well. Being on time is something that I find to be extremely necessary for pet sitting, whether it be for potty breaks, walks, or feeding visits. I want to make sure each new pet is comfortable with me, so being affectionate and playful is something that I have always valued as a pet sitter and owner.

Please let me know of any training exercises that you would like me to continue reinforcing with treats and/or commands. I would also like to be informed of any behaviors that may impact my ability to safely look after your pet.
A typical day
During a typical day, I will be there to play games and to provide other mentally stimulating activities. I also believe that it is important for pets to be able to be curious about their environment. For times outside of their home, such as on walks, I take extra time to allow them to explore whatever their noses find interesting. As much as it is fun to play games and to go on adventures, I also make sure to just spend quality time with whomever I am looking after. I call this "floor time". Belly rubs and lots of pets are not only good for them but for me as well, to help both of us build a trusting bind with one another.

Pet care experience
As someone who has lived with dogs throughout my entire life, I understand what it takes to be a caring, responsible and loving pet owner. I believe that all dog owners should be capable of being patient, playful and responsible to ensure the best possible care for their furry friend. Other than taking care of my own dogs, from puppies to seniors, I have experience with working for other family members and neighbors. This experience ranges from hourly visits, walks, and overnights. I am always excited to learn from new clients and their furry friends about the wonderful world of pet sitting!
