“Blake is wonderful, and you can tell she truly loves animals. My cat liked her right away, which made me feel comfortable, too. She responded quickly, was able to check in the next day, and made communication easy throughout. I highly recommend Blake and will definitely book her again soon!”

“This was my first time using the app Rover. JINAH was awesome. She initiated an initial visit to meet my dog and learn about his care needs. He immediately took to her happy wagging tail and all. It helped so much in my going away to be able to trust that he was in good hands. I will definitely reach out to JINAH again first for any dog-care needs.”

“Kim went above and beyond to make sure my cat was well taken care of and received plenty of love and attention while I was away. I would highly recommend her as a pet sitter and would love to have her back!”

“Peggy was so amazing. I’d definitely trust her again with my two cats! I booked her for home check ins and gave her a detailed list to care for them and she was very thorough and had great communication with me. My cats are shy and like to hide and she still made attempts to try to connect with them which I really appreciate. I also am appreciative that she offered to come by and meet the cats before my trip. This helped me build trust and know I made the right decision before leaving! Really kind, genuine person. Highly recommend her 😊”

“Gina is such a reliable and responsible person who provides excellent care to my cats! She is very communicative and always helps me feel at ease when I travel. I definitely recommend booking with her!”

“Just got back from vacation and we love the attention Rhi gave to our furry friends (cat, chinchilla) while we were away. She is highly professional, respected our home, and left us detailed messages and wonderful pics each day. We will definitely be repeat customers, thanks Rhi!”

“Brynn (Ash) came through for me in a pinch. Thank you! Another caretaker that I lined up via Rover canceled on me during the first day of my trip at a point where I was already miles away in another state. In a panic I searched for someone else and Brynn wasn’t just willing to help, they were willing to head over to my home to check-in on my cat 10 minutes after we had finalized arrangements! Communication was easy, clear, and consistent. I will absolutely looking for their support again when I have to travel and leave my elderly cat at home!”

I work full time with a relatively flexible schedule and the occasional work from home day. I am available on weekends and weekdays after work. I have one cat at home who is very friendly, but shy! He will likely stay under my bed and out of the way while your pet is in my home. I can also crate your baby if necessary and spoil them with treats and snuggles.
“Ellen took wonderful care of our doggies and went above and beyond to not only make me feel comfortable but them as well. I can tell she really treats animals as her own just like a part of the family. We will 100% be using her again!”

About: I absolutely love animals! Dogs, cats, bunnies, you name it! I grew up with cats my entire life and got my first puppy of my own during quarantine (a yellow lab). I have additional experience caring for all kinds of dogs, dog sitting, dog walking, etc. (I nannied for a family with a labradoodle for 3 years.) I currently work in an emergency department. About: I am a life-long dog owner and lover. In the past few years I have helped raise multiple puppies and been a professional pet and house sitter. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, from teeny tiny to 130+ lbs ! I love going on walks in nature and making sure dogs get sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. And of course, lots of snuggles! I have experience with elderly and special needs dogs as well, including medication and special diets. I look forward to meeting your sweet pup! I am a musician who works from home so I have a lot of flexibility and time to pour into the animals I am caring for. Daily walks are my favorite! I treat every space I enter as sacred and care for it like my own. My home has 2 small dogs currently, so it is designed for their care and safety. I love to leave a space cleaner than when I found it! And bless it with positive energy, leaving you with a happy pet.
About: I am a huge animal lover and have had many pets all of my life. My dogs are not just pets but members of the family. I care for many friends and neighbor dogs and have play dates on a daily basis. Dogs are always on the guest list for dinner parties or holiday gatherings and have gifts under the tree. If I had a bigger yard, I’d have a dozen. I would love to meet and spoil your dog while you were away. I will treat them like my own and we will have a great time together. After retiring from my long term job, I became a caregiver for family members. I enjoy walking so thought this would be a perfect fit for getting more exercise and fill my love of having multiple dogs. I have availability in between caring for people and would love to take your dog for a walk. I will care for your pets as my own in your home and a walk. If there is any special requests or instructions, I will happily follow.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rohnert Park
Kim was amazing, as always. She takes such great care of our two girls and is consistently communicative, keeping us updated on everything while we’re away. She also takes wonderful photos, which we always look forward to receiving. We trust her completely and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter.

Blake was incredible with my cat Kali and my roommates cat Oliver. My cat needs medication twice a day and she can be a difficult cat to give medication. Blake updated me each visit and she got Kali to take her med each time. I really appreciated how much she tried with Kali to take her medication. I was also so grateful to have a cat sitter that could drop in twice a day for my baby. Blake also let us know so much information about how the cats were doing and how feeding was going. And she gave us so many pictures from each visit. I usually use my cameras to check on my cats but I didn’t feel like I needed to because she gave such amazing updates. I felt so comfortable about how they were doing. Thank you for being so awesome Blake!

Marie is an absolute delight! She’s attentive to every detail, thorough, respectful of our shy/timid girlies, knowledgeable, and deeply kind. We loved getting to know her and returned to a relaxed energy 🤍 Thank you so much, Marie, our girls can’t wait to see you again!

Rhiannon is amazing. My cats love her she is so good with them they love it when she brushes them. She always goes above and beyond, watering my plants and bringing in any packages that might arrive. She also send me lots of pictures. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs pet sitting services.

Emmalene genuinely saved my cat’s life. There was a fire in our home while we were out of town and thankfully she arrived for a drop-in visit before it was too late. She called the fire department and made sure Kitty got out safe. She took Kitty home with her and took care of her like she was her own cat until I could get back the next day. I cannot speak highly enough of Emmalene and her above and beyond care; even after such a traumatic experience, I could tell Kitty felt so comfortable and safe staying with her. I cannot thank her enough for saving my cat’s life.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
