“Jinah was fantastic. She took great care of both my dog and my cat while I was gone. Both immediately liked her. She took great care in watching how much they were eating and went out of her way taking Benny for his walks in the heat. She took great care of the house along with everything else. A wonderful pet sitter.”

“Blake spent 3 nights with my dog Sam and everything went smooth. She communicates well and recommended a meet and greet prior to the sitting dates. When I got back home Sam, who has separation anxiety, was calm and happy to see me. I will definitely request dates with Blake when needed in the future.”

About: I have had pets most of my life since I was a small child. I have a deep bond with animals and love getting to know their individual personalities and having a great time playing together. I am currently working part time on my own schedule so I have a great deal flexibility to come play with your pets and provide them with my undivided attention! I provide care specifically based on each individual client’s requests and unique needs. Please let me know your preferences, needs and concerns. Thank you!
“Gina did such a great job taking care of the place and making sure I had regular updates and photos throughout my trip. It meant a lot to have that peace of mind. She is truly an animal lover and I am so glad I found her! Definitely would recommend. Excellent job!”

“Gianna was great watching my sometimes energetic German Shepherd! She provided timely, consistent communication and was just all around great to deal with. Would recommend her!”

“Thad was prompt, communicative, and great with my dog. He kept the house in good shape and watered the garden as instructed. He is very personable. I enjoyed meeting him and will call him again.”

“Jesse did a great job with our two crazy dogs, Roxy and Klaus. He set up a meet & greet time with us well in advance of our trip. He asked detailed questions prior to our trip and communicated very well. Not only did he take care of our doggo's, he was mindful about keeping the house clean and attentive to details. Jesse checked in with us, sent us a few pictures and asked questions when they came up. The dogs were quite happy and our neighbors were too. Jesse even set up a scent hunt in the back yard to keep Roxy and Klaus happy and to tire them out. We highly recommend Jesse to watch over your pets and home. Cheers!”

About: I am a life-long dog owner and lover. In the past few years I have helped raise multiple puppies and been a professional pet and house sitter. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes, from teeny tiny to 130+ lbs ! I love going on walks in nature and making sure dogs get sufficient exercise and mental stimulation. And of course, lots of snuggles! I have experience with elderly and special needs dogs as well, including medication and special diets. I look forward to meeting your sweet pup! I am a musician who works from home so I have a lot of flexibility and time to pour into the animals I am caring for. Daily walks are my favorite! I treat every space I enter as sacred and care for it like my own. My home has 2 small dogs currently, so it is designed for their care and safety. I love to leave a space cleaner than when I found it! And bless it with positive energy, leaving you with a happy pet.
“There aren't enough words to express how thankful we are to have found Francesco. He was incredible with our dog Betty. He was very good about updates and really intuitive in his interactions with her. She's really slow to warm to people and was calm with him very quickly. Our home and Betty seem to be in better shape than when we left. We will be sure to recommend him to anyone in need and will be booking with him again in the near future. Thank you again, Paul and Krystal”

“Nicole was a consummate professional and super attendant to all of Luna's needs. Upon our return from our trip, we found Luna happy and healthy and the house in better shape than when we'd left! Thanks so much, Nicole, for taking such good care of our puppy and our home :)”

About: Thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Brynn, but everyone calls me Asher or Ash. I have over 6 years of experience pet sitting, and I have owned a large variety of pets my whole life. I know that your pet is a part of your family, so I make sure to treat them with the love and care I give mine. I'm professional and work closely with pets parents to make sure all of their animals are taken care of according to their unique needs. I am also calm in emergencies and I have ample experience administering medication of all types to even the most stubborn of kitties and pups. I have experience with a huge range of animals beyond dogs and cats, including fish, reptiles, birds, and farm animals (including horses, cows, goats, and more!) Due to my full time job as a Vet Assistant, my schedule is unfortunately a bit more strict than most pet sitters. I am available before 7:30 AM and after 5:30 PM on weekdays to those in the Rohnert Park and surrounding areas, and I'm available before 7:45 PM, after 5:15 PM, and mid-day for those in the Healdsburg area. On weekends, I'm fully free to take care of your furry friends. I will always take measures to ensure your pets safety during and after any visits. I triple check that all windows are closed and every door is locked before leaving, and I am happy to work with you regarding alarm systems. I will let you know if I ever notice anything unusual, and I am quick to respond in emergencies. My work as a Vet Assistant has given me the skills to quickly and easily recognize medical emergencies as well as the best way to treat minor illnesses and scrapes. I also have experience breaking up fights between animals, but I always take measures to ensure that never happens.

“Kyline was fantastic for our house and kitty. Super upfront about work schedule. She sent us numerous photos and updates with and without prompting. Left the house clean, and took care of everything we asked. Highly recommend.”

About: I have always had dogs, and big ones! I recently had my first successful foster experience that has now ended. I’m active, access to great parks, have the time, and want to help others with their pets. I will provide great care while dog parents are busy. I am a fully remote employee with a very flexible schedule. I can work from any location. Looking to supplement income and have always LOVED DOGS! I have a great neighborhood. Rohnert Park was made for dogs. While I was fostering last year I found great dog parks, hikes, and sniffspots! I have done some training as well. I firmly believe in training treats for walks, lots of bones or toys and comfy beds!
“Rebecca lived in and looked after my older cat who has health issues and is very anxious and can be messy. Rebecca did a fantastic job of creating calm and routine for my kitty and by the end of her stay they were friends. Rebecca sent me daily photos and updates and asked me questions if she was unsure of something which really eased my mind. She also left my place clean and tidy. I will definitely book Rebecca in the future.”

“As always, Courtney is amazing! She is our “Go-To.” We have a big strong Greater Swiss Mountain Dog who loves people and other dogs. Handling him requires competence and skill. We generally don’t feel comfortable leaving him in the care of other people. Courtney is UNIQUE! She is also amazing with the rest of our family (50-lbs Bernadoodle and our cat), and the crew is always happy and healthy when we get home. In addition, she produces the best montage vireos of our pets set to music. Seriously, these can’t be beat while away from home. Finally, Courtney is a very thoughtful and enjoyable person 🐶🐈❤️”

“Susan did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs and cats for the weekend. They were well cared for and well loved, as her adorable pictures showed. She was extremely trustworthy, a great communicator and went above and beyond caring for the animals and our house. We are so lucky to have found her and can’t wait to have her come again!”

“Toni did an absolutely wonderful job caring for our pup while we were away. She was incredibly communicative and sent detailed, thoughtful updates that gave us so much peace of mind. We truly felt the whole time that our pup was safe, loved, and in very capable hands. We came home to a happy, relaxed dog and a spotless apartment, everything looked amazing. We’re so grateful for her care and attention and would gladly work with her again. Highly recommended!”

“Isabella was so good to our dog while we were out of town over the weekend. She was respectful to the house and took good care of our dog and kept him good company throughout the days. We would definitely want to work with her again for future! Thanks again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rohnert Park
Blake stayed in our home with our lab and rottweiler for a week while we were away. In addition to playing with the dogs, she took care of watering our yard, pulled the try trash out and even offered to make more hummingbird food for us. We returned to a clean home, a load of linens started and happy + healthy pups!

Jinah was outstanding! She sent daily messages and photos to keep me updated and took very good care of my dog and cat. She also watered my plants and left my house in perfect condition. She is professional, thorough, compassionate and very helpful. My dog is a large Old English Sheepdog. Many people struggle with his energy, but Jinah was completely comfortable with him and was able to handle him. I highly recommend Jinah.

We chose Jill to watch our 2 dogs; a 5 1/2 yo Goldendoodle and a 4 yo 7 lb Yorkie. My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with the loving care she gave our dogs for the 5 days we were out of town for a wedding. Jill really went the extra mile by coming by prior to the sit in order to get oriented to our home and dog’s routines. In addition, she was open to arranging a meeting between our 2 dogs and her very calm Aussiedoodle; our dogs got along great and loved the extra socialization with another pup. Jill allowed us to go on our trip feeling confident our dogs were in good hands and we came home to find 2 very happy dogs. Thank you Jill! We hope you consider sitting for us again.

Alex is terrific -- and having him housesit with our cat TK is a joy. Alex gives the cat love and TK reciprocates -- that's clear from the photos Alex sends showing the cat snuggled up next to him (or sitting on Alex's computer, demanding attention). Alex also played sitting-tag with a friend, who came for several days, and coordinated with her so that care for the cat and watering of our garden went seamlessly. Finally, TK had a few puking incidents. While TK did not apologize to Alex, I did. Alex's response? "No worries! Animals doing animal things." He's a great sitter with a sense of humor.

Georgia was an amazing house sitter. She took very good care of my 3 month old puppy. Including making him meals and giving him medicine. She was very responsive and communicated well and kept me informed of how he was doing over the weekend. She even started load of laundry!

Ella was amazing! I have two French bulldogs and have always had a friend or family member available to watch them. We first met with Ella to meet us and my two pups and it went great! When she watched my sweet babies she sent text updates, photos, and I really appreciated that. 10000 stars to Ella! Can’t wait for us to watch our dogs again!

Brooke did an amazing job watching our 2 dogs and 2 cats. She reached out everyday to let me know that everything was good and the animals were happy. She also left our house really clean as if no one was ever there. I highly recommend her and will be using her again to sit for us!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Rohnert Park on Rover is $56.61 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 1,338 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rohnert Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Rohnert Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Rohnert Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rohnert Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rohnert Park. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
