“Need someone last minute. John responded promptly and was very communicative during his stay since it was his first time looking after my dog. Took him for a pee break and a little walk and gave him treats and my dog looked happy. Very pleased. Thanks!”

“I appreciate Barry getting my pups out on short notice while I couldn’t be home with them! I feel bad leaving them for long days, but have comfort knowing they get some time outside along with care and attention while I’m away!”

About: I am a dog lover and would enjoying helping out with anyone's pup who needs an active sitter! I have work from home and have 2 dogs who are very friendly! I am currently working from home and have lots of flexibility with my schedule. Please let me know if you have any specific requests and I would be more than happy to accommodate! I have a fenced yard and my dogs would love having a new friend around! They are both social and love meeting new dogs to hangout with :)
About: Hi! My name is Trystan. I grew up with big dogs and currently own three cats. I have experience taking care of pets of all sizes and am excited to be best friends with yours! My current schedule gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, dependable care throughout the week. I am able to accomodate last-minute bookings, daytime visits, and consistent care routines, even on holidays! I treat every pet as if they were my own. I take the time to learn pet's routines, personality, and needs as well as give them lots of affection when families are away. I also send regular updates and photos so pet parents can know their pets are safe and happy.
“Juliette is everything we needed - friendly, responsive, on time, caring to our fur baby, and communicative. She also took some of the best pictures of Chessie we've ever seen! It was fun to see the pics every day. We had peace of mind when we were away and are looking forward to having her cat sit again.”

About: I worked with ARL Boston, where I gained expertise on animal behavior and training, nutrition, and basic veterinary care procedures such as vaccinations, insulin injections, and treating a variety of ailments. I encountered a variety of animal breeds of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from sharky puppies to old grouchy senior dogs who despise going inside after a good stroll. In addition, I majored in animal science in high school and am currently pursuing courses in animal behavior and zoology in college. I am available on weekdays and weekends with a minimum of one day's notice. On same-day notice, I may still be available and accepting requests, so please contact me. However, with shorter notice, it is less likely that I will be available. In the client's house, I’m going to use caution when meeting their animal (I am in their space and need to make a positive first impression). Even if they are known to be pleasant, I will still take my time getting to know them. This allows me to earn an animal's trust while ensuring that I am aware of their behavioral cues and handling preferences. Once mutual trust is established, we’ll have a great time enjoying all of their favorite activities together while staying safe.

“Lace took great care of my cats while I was out of town, and I would happily use her again, and recommend her to my friends. I came home to happy, well-fed fur balls thanks to her! She's incredibly responsive to outreach and never left me wondering what was going on while I was away. She also brought in the mail and watered my plants, which was a huge help. Thanks Lace, you rock!”

“If you are looking for the best of the best for your pet—Isabelle is IT! My partner and I have jobs that occasionally require last minute scheduling changes and we are incredibly grateful for Isabelle’s flexibility and communication. She is so kind and her experience shines through with our sweet Penny who has had many health challenges. We feel so so lucky to have met Isabelle & know Penny is in the absolute best hands when we cannot be there with her!!!”

About: I've taken care of so many animals throughout my life. Whether it's a neighbors dog or a family friends hamster, I have always been the first to raise my hand to say I would love to. I'm in nursing school so I have a compassion for anything that has heartbeat and even stuffed animals. I will make sure any animal I take care of or walk or encounter has the best experience. I'm at nursing student, Merrimack College, and being able to take care of any pet would allow me to debrief and see a cute pet. My dog gets walk very frequently because we live in an apartment. I love hiking so he also goes with me. Being outside whether the weather it is.

“Wonderful person to watch my cat! Followed all of my instructions and my cat, who is very shy, actually came out and started to interact with her by the end of the visit.”

I’ve had plenty of experience watching/walking my friends and family’s pets! I am currently part time as a pharmacy technician so I have plenty of time to help you care for or check on your pets! My car is dog friendly if needed to bring your pups on walks! I love hanging out with cats and playing with them as well!

About: Hi, I’m Sam! I’ve been caring for dogs for over 6 years and have had 2 of my own prior to college, so I know firsthand how much they mean to the family. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight sitting, I treat every pet like my own—with love, patience, and plenty of belly rubs. Animals bring me so much joy, and I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. From energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs, I’m here to give them the attention they deserve. I am a recent college grad who will be able to work until July 1. I have a lot of open availability so please feel free to message me for more specific times. In my home they’ll get plenty of love, walks, playtime, and cuddles. I keep their routine as close to normal as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. If I’m caring for your pet at your place, I’ll follow their usual schedule for meals, walks, and snuggles. I’ll keep things clean, give them all the attention they need, and send you updates and pictures so you know they’re happy and cared for.
“Christine was amazing!! Communicated well and took excellent care of Finn. It set my mind as ease while at work, knowing she took such great care of him. Thank you, again!! Highly recommend others reach out to her for their pet needs.”

“It's always a great experience with Jeremy & Rui. They've watched my pets several times over the years and I never have to worry about a thing! They go the extra mile and always send a ton of pictures which I love!”

“Michael was amazing all around! He went above and beyond in many ways. He got out girls tennis balls, he cleaned up poop in the yard from previous days when I was too lazy to pick it up myself, took care of our cat even though we didn’t ask him to. He even took extra trips on his own time when I got stuck at work! Highly recommend!”

About: (PLEASE review my photos and read through my profile to ensure I’m a good fit for your dog, we want to keep everyone safe!) I offer boarding and daycare with pick-up and drop-off services Monday through Friday. With over 15 years of experience working with dogs, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs. I started by helping family and friends, then volunteered at a local shelter, and today, I work full-time as a dog walker and sitter — and I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m committed to going above and beyond to meet each dog’s individual needs, no matter how big or small. I want every dog in my care to live their best life! I know how important it is to maintain a dog’s routine and to never cut corners, especially when working on behavioral issues. I look forward to meeting your dog and supporting them on their journey! Safety and Fun Are My Priorities Over the years, I’ve learned a few key things that help keep the environment safe and fun for everyone: • I require a meet-and-greet before any boarding stay, which includes a day of daycare. This allows me to see if your dog is a good fit, gives them a chance to meet the other dogs, and helps them feel comfortable and familiar before their stay. • At mealtime, I feed all dogs individually to avoid food aggression and to ensure each dog stays on their specific diet. • For dogs requiring medication, I administer it privately and carefully, to ensure it’s properly taken and to prevent any accidental exposure to other dogs. • I do not allow toys, bones, or personal beds from home during a stay. This helps prevent any territorial behavior or conflicts. Rest assured, I have plenty of comfortable bedding, engaging toys, and safe chews to keep your pup happy and entertained while they’re here! I can’t wait to welcome your dog into my pack and help them thrive! Daily Schedule: • 6:30 a.m.: Wake-up/morning bathroom break • 8:00a.m -9:00a.m.: Breakfast •. 9:00 a.m.-Morning daycare pick-ups (Monday–Friday) • 10:30a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Playtime in the yard, with breaks as needed • 12:00 p.m.: Lunch • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Quiet time/rest • 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.: Afternoon playtime in the yard, with breaks as needed • 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Afternoon daycare drop-offs (Monday–Friday) • 6:00 p.m.: Evening bathroom break • 6:15 p.m.: Dinner • 7:15 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Evening play session • 8:00 p.m.: Relaxation and quiet time • 9:30–10:00 p.m.: Final bathroom break and bedtime I have three separate fenced-in yards to keep things fun and engaging for the dogs, giving them plenty of space to run, play, and explore. There are multiple crates available for individual feeding or for dogs who might be a little too curious and like to explore things they shouldn’t. I also have my yard treated for ticks and mosquitoes every month to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. And that’s just the beginning! I provide a wide variety of toys and enrichment activities to keep the dogs mentally and physically stimulated. We do sensory games, have food puzzles to challenge their minds, and even offer quiet, cozy spots for rest and relaxation. Whether your dog loves to play, learn, or just lounge in the sun, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy!
About: I’ve cared for animals since a young age, mainly dogs and cats. I have a rescue dog of my own who I trained myself, as well as a senior cat with medical needs who is thriving. My neighbors trust me to care for their dogs with medical needs while they are away, and most recently, I started walking dogs during the day time and offering house visits while pet owners are away at work or vacationing. I love spending time outdoors and getting to know your pet and offering them the critical exercise and companionship they need to live a long healthy life! When my cat was young, we had the most wonderful cat sitter who was very in tune with animals and I said I wanted to start my own business one day like her. Well, here I am! I look forward to hearing from you to discuss your pet care needs. I enjoy walking dogs or making house visits during the week days when my children are at school (mornings, mid day, and early afternoon). I’m also available for evening and overnight visits in your home on a case by case basis. I’m looking to find clients who I can grow with and essentially become a part of the family. For now I’m offering care in your home or visits with your dog like walks, hikes, or play groups at an outdoor dog park. For overnight visits, I recommend visits 3 times in the day: once in the morning time for breakfast and a walk, once again in the afternoon, and then a night time visit as well before bedtime.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Rockland
Meghan took great care of Dakota while we were away for a few hours. She gave her lots of frisbee time, and breaks and water to cool her off because it was a hot day. She is very caring and a true dog person. :-) Dakota was so relaxed and happy when we arrived home. We found Meghan at the last minute and are so grateful that she was available. Such a relief. We highly recommend her.
We reach out to Adriana first whenever we need intermittent/drop in visits for our sweet 15 year old dog. She's used to us home with her most of the time, and when we need to leave her for longer than she's used to, Adriana gives us great peace of mind by dropping in. She's always terrific with communication and dependability. Thoroughly recommend!

I booked last minute with Kelly, and she was fantastic with Benny. You can tell she genuinely cares about animals and made him feel comfortable right away. She sent pictures and updates throughout, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. It meant a lot knowing he was in such good hands. I would absolutely book with her again!
Brendan openly communicated before we booked and helped through the process. Our situated was unique as we stayed on a military reservation in our camper. He was able to follow step by step instructions to get to our location and had no issues. He sent pics of our pup every time and communicated timelines. Thank you Brendan!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Rockland with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
