About: I’ve cared for pets for friends, family, and neighbors for years, including high-energy dogs, shy rescues, and senior animals needing extra TLC. I’m patient, dependable, and happy to adapt to your pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether your pup loves cuddles, long walks, or just needs some TLC, I’ll treat them like family. Since I work from home and do school online, I have plenty of time to give your pup lots of love, care, walks, and attention I have a secure fenced yard and 5 friendly dogs of my own, so if your pup enjoys socializing, they’ll have playmates. If not, I can easily keep them separate and make sure they’re comfortable

We are beyond grateful for Penelope’s loving and attentive care during her overnight stay with our pets. From the moment she arrived, it was clear she has a genuine connection with animals and treats them like her own. Penelope followed our care instructions perfectly, ensuring each pet was fed properly (including special dietary mixes), supervised during outside time, and made comfortable throughout her stay. If you’re looking for a dependable, trustworthy, and caring sitter for in-house boarding, Penelope is a true gem. We highly recommend her and will definitely be booking her again in the future! — 🐾💛

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Because I’ve always had pets of my own, I understand how important it is to have someone you can trust looking after your furry family members. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or simply keeping a routine, I’m here to provide dependable, caring support for your pets. I’m currently a senior in high school, and my class schedule is very flexible. I only have classes from 10:15 AM to 12:00 PM, which means I’m available most of the day for pet care. This allows me plenty of time for walks, check-ins, feeding schedules, and giving your pets the attention they need. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets, I respectfully follow the pet’s normal schedule like handling feedings, walks, potty breaks, medication if needed, and any special instructions you provide. No matter where the care takes place, I’m committed to offering reliable, loving, and attentive service so your pet feels happy and secure while you’re away.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mae! She watched our Kingston this weekend while we took a short trip, and we were beyond impressed with the level of care, professionalism, and love she showed from start to finish. Mae stayed in our home, and from the moment she arrived, we could tell she genuinely cared about Kingston’s happiness and our peace of mind. She was incredibly respectful of our home everything was exactly as we left it. She followed routines perfectly, kept us updated throughout the weekend with thoughtful messages and pictures, and made sure Kingston felt loved and comfortable while we were away. It was such a relief knowing he was in his own environment, receiving one-on-one attention and care. When we returned home, Kingston was happy, and clearly well taken care of. As protective pet parents, finding someone we fully trust is no small thing, but Mae exceeded every expectation. We will absolutely be using Mae again for future trips. She’s responsible, kind, trustworthy, and treats Kingston as if he were her own. We truly couldn’t ask for a better sitter she will always be our go-to from here on out!

About: My experience in pet care is extensive. From helping raise and train my own family dogs as child, to working at different animal facilities, I have experience in many different/difficult situations I may face. While I lived in New York I worked at a high end Doggy Daycare and boarding facility that prided itself in creating a certified "fear free" environment for dogs. In a daycare setting I handled and monitored up to 25 dogs in a safe and ethical way. I learned how to read different dog body language cues and how to handle small to XL size dogs. I took a lot of pride in the environment I created for my playgroups so dogs could enjoy safe, fun interactions with each other. I also worked as a kennel technician at the same facility. I did potty breaks for up to 50 dogs, cleaned kennels to propers standards and provided enrichment and feeding for all of our guests. I have experience in how to handle aggressive or stand offish dogs in a safe and manageable way. I also learned a lot about animal health and helped provide care for special needs guests who may have disabilities due to age or that were on seizure watch. Any issues or concerns I had health wise were immediately brought to my supervisors so it could be brought to the owners attention. I worked at Resorts Boarding and Play in two different times for about a year and a half total. After my time at this facility I worked at the SPCA Serving Erie County as an animal caretaker. It was here I gained more exposure to different temperaments in dogs and cats and how to work with them while also cleaning their kennels so they had a clean safe space to enjoy. I enjoyed helping all these pets in desperate need and watching them come out of their shells and experience joy more and more. It was one of the most rewarding parts of that job! When I moved to North Carolina I spent a few months working at 7 Lakes Kennels as a kennel technician again. I cleaned kennels and helped pair dogs for daycare play. I handled medicine distribution to dogs who needed it, cleaned potty yards and of course, played with many dogs! I again had previous experience in handling some tougher dogs so I was comfortable in helping others with some guests who had behavioral challenges. I also did feedings for the guests under my care for the day and took everyone out for potty walks at allotted times. Although I have only professionally been in the pet care industry for about 3 years I consider most of my life as experience from also doing all pet care for my animals growing up, including pushing pills for my childhood cat who had issues with kidney function. I fed all my childhood pets morning and night. I handled supplements for my goldendoodle who had hip and joint issues later in life. I have tons of techniques to help dogs take medicine in an enticing manner. I also made sure my dogs received 20-30 minutes of intense exercise a day to meet their large dog requirements as goldendoodles. They preferred playing ball but also enjoyed added on walks. I am sincerely passionate about providing top-notch care to pets and have shown that to many previous employers who always enjoyed my attention to detail and efforts to work with the animals regardless of any behavior issues or health concerns they faced. I wake up everyday around 7:30 am and let my two dogs out to potty. I own a German Shepherd, Vader and a Bloodhound, Dixie! Around 8 am I feed them both and make sure they have water. Since they are large chested breeds I make sure they rest an hour before letting them outside again to run and potty again. I do this to prevent any possibility of bloat in my beloved friends. Depending on the day I may take my bloodhound Dixie out for training at the park or tractor supply. I am building up basic obedience to continue training her in tracking for hunting deer! When we get home I'll let Vader and her out to play and hangout around the house-they are both crate trained. Vader is a less social dog so I usually just let him enjoy safe play with Dixie at home. Due to his breed he is pretty protective when out in public with me, but he is muzzle trained so we can safely navigate any environment outside the house if needed. I do take him to tractor supply for occasional baths and he does fine when properly redirected. He is NOT a fan of stranger dogs so I keep him out of those uncomfortable situations and feel fine denying greeting from other dogs or people if he is showing signs of stress. I feed both dogs around 5pm and again allow them to rest for another hour after eating before letting out for potty breaks and to run around for a bit. Both of our dogs enjoy their crates so they sleep in their own areas. I have done basic obedience with both of my dogs and my German shepherd will sit for me when I simply give him a physical cue-no words needed! I am striving to expand my experience in dog training and planning to start online education to become a certified trainer in the future. Hopefully I can help many more people with their furry friends through providing reliable and safe caretaking while they are away! I am happy to follow any instructions you may have for me through a text message or written out on paper. If you have any concerns I am happy to communicate with you while you are away! At one boarding facility we would send out pictures every three days of a fun activity we did with the dogs to help ease owners minds. I am more than willing to do something like that for you everyday! I totally understand the worry of being away from your best friends! If you want feeding done at certain times I'm happy to do that as I have a free schedule just taking care of my home. Walks, playtime and interacting with dogs are must to keep spirits up while you are away so I am happy to provide these services as well! Of course attention and love is given regardless to any pet I am watching! I am comfortable adminstering medication according to labels or any supplements/treats you provide your pets! I ALWAYS listen to and watch dogs for body language cues. I find that respecting dogs leads to a much better relationship between caretakers and friends. I have extensive training through "The Dog Gurus" my first employer provided all employees. This taught me different play styles for breeds, how to monitor health through potty habits and what to look for in concerning poop. I learned the warning signs of seizures and how to handle them as well as what to watch for if a dog may have a parasitic infection. I was also taught signs of stress and techniques to help prevent them through providing familiar scents, toys or approach. I am aware of and use certain skills in approaching nervous dogs-become smaller and less threatening by turning your back slightly and not holding direct eye contact. I always allow a dog to approach me by offering my hand from a distance and letting them decide if they want to interact or not. For dogs who were sensitive or reactive about touch around their neck while working I used a "double slip lead" technique so I wouldn't have to get into their personal space while putting a lead on them. It also made it safer to remove a lead by never having to physically touch the dog, rather gently pull one lead attached around the other and they would both safely slip off the dog. Understanding a dogs temperament and triggers is vital for me to work safely and effectively with any dog I encounter or interact with. Please always offer all information on your dog to me during a meet and greet session. I would rather have "too much" information on your dog than feel like I'm scrambling with questions later on while you are away. I enjoy working with all different types of dogs and love learning about their personalities and things they enjoy. I feel confident in my skill level and experience to provide safe, loving, enjoyable care for all your four legged family members.

About: Currently offering discounted rates, book now before prices increase! I’m new to the whole pet sitting thing, as far as watching other people’s pets. I was fortunate enough to watch a neighbor’s dog this past summer and I loved it. I have 4 dogs of my own. They are a chihuahua, welsh corgi, French bulldog and lastly a sheltie. My dogs are my world and they make life more enjoyable, I truly couldn’t imagine coming home to an empty house without my dogs. I truly hope that I can make this a full time gig and treat your pets as if they were my own and give them the love and attention that they deserve. I’m currently out of a job right now, so I do have plenty of time. Of course I do have my own pets and personal life to attend to but if you work with me I’ll work with you. My main priority is to make sure me and you are on the same page and your pet has the utmost care and love. I mean personally in my home, our pets are our family. They chill and lay around in the house. We don’t personally keep any of them outside. We crate our sheltie when we leave because she is still pretty much a puppy but other than that our dogs just roam the house. I do have experience in taking care of dogs that happen to be outside. Whether it be a building, shed or whatever.

She kept me updated daily with pictures and messages. This was the first time that I’ve used a dog sitter before and it was a great experience with Haydyn! Highly recommend!
