I always take time to understand how each pet does around other animals! If a pet needs their own space, quiet time, or a slower introduction, I make sure they have a calm area where they can relax. I keep the environment clean, organized, and peaceful so every pet feels cared for during their stay!

About: I’ve had dogs all of my life, and I am a big animal lover. I’ve successfully trained 2 puppies. I have many years of sitting and walking experience, professionally and otherwise. My dog is very friendly and well-socialized. I work from home so I’m available around the clock for the most part. For me, playing with pets is a wonderful stress reliever so we both get something beneficial out of it. I live in a neighborhood with safe walking paths with plenty of shade. I also have nearby dog parks, weather permitting. I have a big privacy-fenced backyard. I have gates and ways of partitioning space in my house and yard to accommodate special needs. I am a retired ICU nurse, so I am diligent about health and safety and very capable of administering medications as needed.

About: My relationship with dogs had a slightly questionable start. I was attacked by a dog while sitting in a stroller as a baby and spent the first few years of my life absolutely terrified of them. Then something apparently flipped in my five-year-old brain, because I spent the next year relentlessly begging my parents to let me get one. Eventually they cracked. Enter Prinsen (Swedish for “Prince”) and I've been a dog person ever since. I grew up with dogs and was the kid neighbors would ask to watch theirs. Then during COVID my parents got an AmStaff who somehow turned into a part-time job for me 😂. I lived nearby and watched him basically every day for about five years. Walks, feeding, playtime, hanging out, keeping him out of trouble, the whole deal. Spending that much time with an AmStaff also made me very comfortable around bigger, strong and energetic dogs. These days I have Maverick, my 9-month-old hunting Labrador, who has taken the phrase “high energy” as a personal challenge. Long walks, training, exercise, stubborn puppy moments, random objects appearing in his mouth and trying to tire out a dog with a seemingly unlimited battery are just normal life now. Being a dog owner myself is probably the biggest reason I'd trust me with your dog. I know how weird it feels handing your best buddy to someone you've never met. I'm not interested in speed-running a 30-minute visit, checking a box and leaving. If your dog is with me, I'm actually going to hang out with them, play with them, walk them and treat them the way I'd want someone to treat Maverick. I'm especially comfortable with puppies, bigger breeds, working dogs and dogs with a ridiculous amount of energy. Whether yours wants to inspect every single blade of grass or thinks we're training for the Olympics, I'm game. And you'll get pictures and updates. Probably more than you asked for. After nearly a decade in tech sales I decided to take a career break and figure out what I want the next decade to look like. Turns out career breaks come with a LOT of free time 😂. Since I already spend a good chunk of my day walking, training and hanging out with my own dog, I figured I might as well add a few more to the crew. My schedule is currently extremely flexible, including weekdays and daytime hours when most people are stuck at work. Whether you need a regular daily walker, a last-minute drop-in or someone to give your dog a proper adventure while you're at the office, chances are I can make it work. Whether I'm coming to your home or your dog is staying with me, I try to keep things simple: your house, your dog, your rules. I'll follow whatever routine you've got around feeding, walks, training, crates, medications or the little quirks that only you know about. When I'm coming to your home, I'll treat it exactly how I'd want someone to treat mine. I'll respect your space, make sure doors and gates are properly secured, refresh food and water if needed, and leave everything exactly how I found it — ideally with a slightly more tired dog. For walks, your dog gets my full attention. I'm not trying to juggle five dogs at once while staring at my phone. I'm comfortable with bigger, stronger and high-energy dogs, and I'll follow your rules around leashes, other dogs, people and whatever training you're working on. Whether you've got a senior who wants to inspect every blade of grass or a young working dog who wakes up choosing chaos, I'll match their pace. If your dog is staying with me, I live in a dog-friendly apartment community with Maverick, my 9-month-old hunting Lab. We have a fenced private dog park right outside for playtime, fetch and burning off some serious energy. Inside, they're part of the home — not stuck away in another room. And wherever your dog is with me, you'll get plenty of pictures and updates along the way. Probably more than you asked for.

I have a friendly 2-year-old pup, Renni, who has never met a dog she didn’t become best friends with, so every visiting pup has a built-in playmate. I work a hybrid schedule and work from home on Mondays and Fridays, allowing me to provide plenty of supervision, attention, potty breaks, walks, and even trips to the dog park right outside my door. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, I work from the office during the day, so please keep that in mind if your pet requires constant daytime care. Pets staying with me on those days should be comfortable spending a few hours on their own before I return home to give them plenty of love and attention. My goal is to make every dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved—just like they're at their home away from home! My schedule allows me to provide lots of quality time with the pets in my care. In addition to weekends, I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, making the span of Friday to Monday perfect for dogs who enjoy extra companionship, frequent potty breaks, walks, and plenty of playtime. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, I work from the office during the day, so pets staying with me should be comfortable spending a few hours on their own before I return home for walks, playtime, and cuddles. No matter the day, I'll do my best to stick to your dog's usual routine so they feel happy, comfortable, and right at home. I have a dog park directly outside my building that I take my dog to several times a day! If dog parks aren’t the right fit, I also have a great neighborhood walking trail to stretch our legs. My dog sleeps in the crate some nights and on her bed in the living room other nights so however your dog is comfortable, I can accommodate!
