About: I grew up with multiple dogs all my life. I have experience training sight-guide dogs. I have pet sat for dogs, cats, bunnies, and birds before. I currently work 5 days a week Sunday-Thursday from 2-10pm, so on those days so your pet will have about 8 hours alone **with the exception that Wednesdays I work 9 hours**. After work and the weekends, I love taking pets out on walk/doing enrichment in the home when I am with them! I live on a second floor apartment so your pet will need to be able to go up and down stairs. I have 1 bedroom with a good amount of space and sun spots for them to play and lay out.

Sarah not only moved up the time of our cats' check-in on that day to make sure they weren't too shaken up but also added on an extra (daily) check-in until we were back in town. Even without the unusual weather, each visit came with multiple photos, videos, and updates. She's also great with shy cats--one of our cats is extremely shy around new humans, and Sarah was able to get him to show his face and even play and accept treats :)”

About: Hello! My name is JJ and I'm a trail runner that decided to combine the two things I love the most: exercise and animals. I have been providing pet care for dogs, cats and other household pets full-time for over 8 years in Austin now. I prioritize responding promptly to all booking requests and communication throughout the duration of booked appointments. This includes happily answering questions, sending updates and pet pictures of each visit. For me, communication, transparency and trust are key to having a worry-free workday or trip away! PET CARE: *NEW* Now offering boarding and doggie daycare. My partner and I purchased a house in North Shoal Creek and can now host up to 4 dogs. My partner, Josh Cross, is a software developer and works from home, so visiting pets will always have a human companion while I am away on walks and check-ins. I offer check-ins for dogs, cats and other household pets, to give them food, water, bathroom breaks, clean litter boxes, etc. If there is ever a package or mail by the door, I always bring it inside, as well. WALKS: If your dog(s) just need a potty break and some exercise, I’m more than happy to go for 30-60 minute walks. I typically use my own waist leash, but I can use your leash, if preferred, and I have a tandem leash attachment to take two dogs for an outing together, if needed. RUNS: For dogs that like to run, I can jog at your dogs pace for 30-60 minutes. Slow or fast, with water breaks, walk breaks, and potty breaks. On hot days, I prioritize finding the shadiest routes in the area and run in the grass when possible. For running dogs, I prefer them to wear a body harness or gentle leader, if available. *I offer a limited number of dog runs per day depending on daily volume.* My love for animals comes from growing up with a family that spoiled inside pets of many species and sizes. I cherished my own chihuahua, Zeus, of 14 years. Nowadays, I share a big, sweet super-mutt named Ozzie with my partner, Josh. I currently have weekday availability during traditional work hours, but I also have some evenings and weekends available. I don’t prefer to book recurring weekly appointments on the weekends. I regularly keep my Rover calendar updated and list the dates I’m out of town in my profile, in case I don’t have reception on vacation, usually a camping trip. I prefer to use a waist leash, which is safer and more secure than holding a leash in my hand. Please supply waste bags and any treats you would like me to give to your pet.

About: I spent more than a decade loving a very large, very opinionated German Shepherd named Ruta through epilepsy, severe allergies, endless medication schedules, and his senior years, so “high-maintenance” pets don’t scare me. I tend to love them even harder. These days I’m supervised by Edwin, my mini Aussie rescue, who has strong opinions about other dogs, delivery trucks, and apparently several completely innocent squirrels. Living with him has made me very comfortable with boundaries, reactivity, slow introductions, and the fact that not every dog wants to be everybody’s friend. I’m also the person who genuinely wants the six-paragraph document explaining exactly how your dog likes breakfast. Give me the quirks, the routines, the medications, the weird little rules, the favorite toy, the thing they absolutely will not do unless you ask them in a very specific way. I want to know all of it. Basically: I take your pet seriously without taking myself too seriously. And yes, I will probably send you too many pictures. My schedule is pretty flexible, which means I can usually work around your pet’s normal routine. Walks, meals, potty breaks, meds, couch hangs; tell me what they’re used to and I’ll do my best to keep things consistent. Tell me everything. What’s their routine? What makes them nervous? Are they an escape artist? A sock eater? Do they lose their mind when a skateboard goes by? How are they on leash? I’m big on respecting a pet’s boundaries and keeping their routine as familiar as possible. I’d much rather know about a quirk or trigger ahead of time than be surprised by it later.

I live on a second floor apartment so your pet will need to be able to go up and down stairs. I have 1 bedroom with a good amount of space and sun spots for them to play and lay out.
“Leaving your dog with someone new can be scary, but Mitchell was amazing! During our meet and greet, he asked so many thoughtful questions to make sure Peachy would get the best care possible. While I was away, he sent plenty of updates and photos, followed all instructions perfectly, and really put my mind at ease. I never worried for a second about Peach—she looked so happy in every picture! He also lives in a very walkable area, which was perfect for her. Highly recommend Mitchell to anyone looking for a caring and attentive sitter!”

“Eddie was phenomenal with Kai. Kai can be pretty high energy but Eddie was great about finding time to take him out on walks even during a Rainy weekend. Felt super comfortable having Kai stay at their house for the weekend with all the great pupdates. Would definitely book with Eddie again in the future”
“Christine and Colin took amazing care of my Tieghan! It was my first time leaving her with someone outside of family and I felt comfortable from the minute I dropped her off. They sent consistent pictures and updates on how she was doing throughout the 5 days I was gone and were really flexible with pick up and drop off times. Tieghan barely wanted to leave when I arrived to take her home and it was clear they really treated her as their own! I will absolutely be using Christine and Colin again and cannot recommend them enough.”

“Valerie kept our cute Murphy for 7 days. He is notoriously shy and takes a long while to warm up to people. Just after a few days he felt at home. He actually enjoyed her backyard and even walked around her house. She was patient and so loving towards him. We highly recommend Valerie and will use her again if we are lucky enough to go on another family vacation.”
“Having Bourbon board with Giovanna was an absolute delight. They got to meet ahead of time and he took to her immediately. He can be anxious and he takes time getting comfortable with strangers, but within 20 minutes they were already bonding. She was very responsive and communicative throughout this experience. She sent the right amount of updates, so I was able to enjoy my time away without any worries. After 5 days with her, he barely wanted to come back home with me! I would highly recommend Giovanna as a boarder if you are looking for a safe and loving environment for your pups.”
