“What an amazing experience for us and our dogs! This was our first attempt with Rover and it was a success. Steph was incredibly attentive, caring, and so respectful and responsible to our furry babies and our home. Our Frenchie is an epileptic and Steph handled his seizures with diligence and empathy. Steph’s care set the bar and we hope to book again soon! Thank you Steph for such a pleasant experience!”

“Jojo is fantastic! We received great updates with pics and videos of our pets every day and the house was absolutely pristine when we returned. We had complete peace of mind on our vacation knowing Jojo was here taking care of everything!”

“Cheryl has been taking care of our dog Kona and our home for over a year now when we vacation. We couldn't have asked for a more kind, loving and responsible person. Kona is content and happy when we return home and the house is just as we left it. During this stay Kona had some medical issues with several new medications. Cheryl's confidence and experience helped ease our concerns and Kona was back to her old self when we returned. ”

“Chase was awesome, we wouldn’t hesitate to have him housesit again. He made my dog feel comfortable and relaxed, administered medications and kept the house tidy while we were away. Good vibes. Thanks”

“Crispin was so sweet with Lou and helped us last minuet. She was so thorough, she came to do a meet and greet before hand. So appreciative of her dedication. She sent picture updates and he loved her!”

“Mariah was incredible watching my Ruby. She clearly is a dog person and treats dogs with so much love and respect. She took her on all sorts of outings, to the dog park, on walks, and totally rolled with the more high maintenance parts of a frenchie. She sent tons of updates and even washed something my dog had an accident on. I would (and plan to) her again in a heartbeat!”

About: I've grown up with dogs of all ages. Currently the dog dad to a playful, rambunctious husky who gets two long walks or runs a day. I approach dog care with patience and dedication. Every dog deserves unconditional love and a unique level of attention - young or old - and I know first hand the importance of a steady consistent routine. Every morning my dog gets walked and fed, and every weekend she gets a visit to the beach and thorough wash and brush. One of the many gifts of pet ownership is the routine a dog requires. My day does not being until my dog and I get some exercise. Every day is capped by play at the park with her and her favorite ball. I have a fenced in yard, a large fenced in porch, and plenty of space in my home. My dog has an AirTag on her so if she ever were to get out of sight I know exactly where she is at all times. As for others, I like to keep them inside and in eyeshot until it's time to go out for the bathroom or get some exercise.

“I am giving Rover.Com & Lisa 10+ STARS. Lisa loves animals. Our dog, Winston, had a good time with Scout (Lisa's puppy). They had a blast together. Winston is a Portuguese Water Dog (55 lbs) and loves people & other dogs. Winston stayed at Lisa's place, not at our home, because we were having our daughter's wedding in a destination place. Our home was far away, and we wanted Winston to go on the 5 hour drive with us and stay near by the wedding site. So, I went on Rover and asked to locate someone in Carpinteria. I found Lisa from Rover.Com living just up the road from the wedding site. Lisa took Winston and Scout to the beach, the park, everywhere and I do not think they were ever bored. Winston had a great time. Lisa always sent photos, and she always responded immediately if you text her. Our beach house rental did not allow pets, so Lisa was my rescue. Winston was just 8 minutes away from where we were staying. It was perfect. Breathtaking surroundings where Winston stayed. Winston and I thank you so very much. You made myself and my family feel comfortable leaving Winston with you while we were busy planning the wedding. You are the BEST. - nancy-”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets my whole life! I worked as a dog groomer and at a barn! I am very confident in reading body language, and I love working with your dog to acknowledge their strengths. You’re pet will always be respected and come first when I am around them. I will keep your dog happy and enriched while in my care ! I am 22 years old attending college and my only commitment right now is school, I go on daily walks and would love to bring your dog along with me! I will always monitor your pet and make sure they get enough outside time or if they are a couch potato then that is what we will do :) Regarding your house, I will make sure it stays tidy and your dogs will have plenty of enrichment. If requested, I can bring toys or treats or lick pads (all clean and disinfected)!

“Anny was so great with our fur babies! She helped us out on very short notice, treated both pups with love and care, and even sent us photo updates. We are so grateful and hope to employ her again soon!”

“We have a 10 year old German Shepard used having a consistency and in charge at home. Contacted Jeanette thru Rover and she seemed a perfect fit to stay at house and watch Ziggy for a few days. She is so accommodating coming to house night before to meet as he can be wary of a new person in the house. Jeanette met and was so relaxed even as Ziggy was qualifying her and after a few treats, feeding Ziggy dinner the two bonded. We did suggest she could go to her home to visit with her family, which she did and it all worked well. Jeanette does work from home so she was able to do that at our home as well. Jeanette also shared with us she had taken classes on dog behavior and health. She has dogs herself which we are sure helped her to transition Ziggy to her. Such a nice pleasant, accommodating and caring person we highly recommend Jeanette if you need a house/dog sitter.”

“We went away to visit our daughter. There are only 2 people we trust our dogs with when we are away. Dario is one of them. Thanks for caring for our fur babies as if they are your own! Archie and Lennon love Dario!”

“Emily was awesome! Communicated with us regularly and took great care of the pups. We even had an issue with some minor flooding and she was gracious enough to help us out with that and made the situation much less stressful. Will book again!”

“Grace is absolutely amazing! She takes care of your pets like her own and we couldn’t recommend her enough. Truly a first class sitter who is so attentive and communicative while giving your pet the best possible service while you’re away. Grace will always be our top choice!”

“Aliyah was great with our dogs! She arrived on time and sent us lots of update and pictures. We were definitely reassured that our dogs were in good hands and had someone to keep them company.”

About: I’ve had my own animals at home and have helped take care of mainly dogs and cats over the years. Animals are so precious to me and caring for them in the right way and getting them what they need is most important to me! I’m currently on summer break but will be starting college in the fall. I have a fully open schedule as of now and when I start school that will become particle. Mornings and evenings would more likely work best for me in the fall but I am very flexible and would love to work with families to figure out a schedule that works. I always keep a close watch on the animals I’m sitting and make them feel as comfortable as I can. Most pets can be anxious away from families so I try my best to company animals and keep them in safe areas that they can play, relax, and enjoy their time!

“Ajna proved reliable once again! She seamlessly handled the addition of a second dog this time, following all instructions and keeping us updated. We came home to find everything in perfect order – happy dogs and a tidy apartment. We confidently recommend Ajna and plan to book her again.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old. I’ve watched all kinds of ages breeds and sizes of dogs. I have work with a wide range of ages from young young puppies to very old dogs. I am very attentive with dogs needs, especially if there’s more than one I am caring for at a time. I have also been with dogs with a strict schedule with vitamins, medicines, and walk schedules. I’m currently babysitting part time, I have a pretty open schedule to play with your fur babies. I am available Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and early Tuesday. Within my own home my dog is a therapy dog and we keep her on a regimented routine and schedule of food walks and cuddle time. With other families dogs I have stayed the night in some clients houses while they’re away to take care of the dogs, for other clients I have stopped by two times a day for about 45 minutes to feed, interact, walk the dogs, and I’ve also just went to walk the dogs!

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats ever since I was about 10 years old. I have fostered kittens for years, bringing them back to the Humane Society for adoption. I have also had the opportunity to have other pets of all kinds; Guinea pigs, rabbits, puppies, and cats. I have cared for a little bit of everything! I love them all! I currently work a regular 9-5. So, I would be ideal for early morning and late night care, or anytime during the weekends! But, I am also able to pet sit, if needed! I always care for pets and their homes, in the same way that I would care for my own. I am patient, kind, and loving with pets, and I am respectful and cautious when caring for pets in their owners homes. Overall, I am gentle and thoughtful!

Madison M.
“Madison has taken care of my three dogs—Rodger, Henry, and Eddie—and they absolutely adore her! Each of them has a different personality, and Madison is so thoughtful and attentive to their individual needs. Rodger is more energetic, Henry loves attention, and Eddie can be a little shy—but Madison handles all of them with such patience, love, and confidence. The second she walks through the door, all three light up. I completely trust her with their routines, walks, feeding, and cuddle time. She’s not only incredibly responsible and professional, but you can tell she genuinely loves animals. I always feel at ease knowing they’re in her care. Anyone would be lucky to have Madison look after their pets.”

Lana Q.
“Hello concerned pet owners! You will be happy to know that Lana Q. is fully qualified to be a pet sitter through rover.com. She is gentle, loving, and responsible as a human being and as a pet sitter. Although I am not a pet owner, I have personally known Lana for 23 years and have witnessed these qualities firsthand as she’s cared for her own pets. I would recommend Lana to any pet owner looking for an outstanding, trustworthy, caring pet sitter.”

Mariah was so amazing with my dog who had never been left with someone else before . My dog was safe and happy and in good care with Mariah. She is a doll and even sent us photos of our dog while we were gone . It’s the best feeling to know you picked the perfect person to care for your dog .. I’m so grateful I met her and will use her whenever I’m in Santa Barbara .

Emily is the best dog sitter! She was easy to communicate with as we scheduled the dog sit dates and was great at letting us know how our fur baby was doing while she watched her. Emily not only took fabulous care of our dog by walking her and spending lots of time cuddling her, she took great care of our home. Emily is a top notch dog and house sitter!

Chase was amazing! You can tell right away that he has a way with animals and puts a lot of care into making sure that you and they are comfortable. He sent regular updates with cute videos and pictures so that we could see what everyone was up to. I could tell that Benny had such a great time with him. I can’t recommend Chase enough!

Alana was so great! I couldn't recommend her enough. Our pup gets anxious and nervous around new people and she was so caring and understanding of our needs. I my wife and I were so happy to have her dog sit for us. She was so great at understanding our pups needs and was able to build rapport with our pup. We were happy to hear how well our pup loved her and was so comfortable with her while she dog sit and house sit for us. We will definitely use her again.

Listen to this — Ash is AMAZING. I honestly can’t believe I found her again on Rover!!! Years ago, I lived somewhere else and she took care of my dogs with such intention, heart, and reliability — truly treating them like her own. When I lost her contact info, I was devastated. She had become such an important part of our lives, and no one else compared. Now that we’ve reconnected, I feel so lucky. Ash is everything you could hope for in a pet sitter: dependable, kind, calm, loving, and truly in tune with animals. My dogs absolutely adore her — they light up when they see her. She doesn’t just “watch” them — she connects with them. She notices their moods, their quirks, their favorite routines, and she communicates clearly and warmly with me the whole time. Ash has always gone above and beyond — whether it’s sending photo updates, spending extra time with my pets, or adjusting to last-minute schedule changes. She brings a kind of care that’s rare and real. I trust her completely, and I’m so relieved to have her back in our lives. If you're looking for someone who will love your pets like family, Ash is the one.

Beth did an incredible job watching over my girl Missy. She was communicative, responsive and left my apartment just as clean as I had left it. Missy was sleeping when I arrived home and I could tell she loved having Beth stay. I can’t recommend booking with Beth enough!

Caitlin did an absolutely amazing job taking care of our two dogs. She would send us frequent updates, pictures, and videos of the pups and each time they both looked like they were having a blast. One of our dogs is somewhat high maintenance, and Caitlin had no problem dealing with her quirks. She also did an incredible deep clean of our entire house, which was not expected, but greatly appreciated. Caitlin is kind, responsible, and always quick to respond to messages. We would definitely recommend her to anyone, and we will absolutely be using her again in the future!

Charlie was amazing!! Charlie took care of Rumba at our apartment for 3 Days and 2 Nights. He has severe separation anxiety but did not have any issues with Charlie! We received pictures and updates and are having Charlie over again this weekend for another 3 Days and 2 Nights! Thank you!

Courtney was wonderful. We have a kitty (Smokey) that walks on a leash. He gets at least 2 walks a day, so we had her come 2x day for walks and then time in his outdoor Catio. Courtney used to walk her cat on a leash, so she was comfortable and competent walking him. Smokey can sometimes get over aroused when he is walking and she was really good at taking time to build trust and called me to get more suggestions on how to manage his walks and getting him in and out of the Catio. She sent pictures after each visit, including pictures of our cats food dish and litter box, which I thought was very professional. Our kitty was safe and well on our return. Courtney really cares and is very experienced with cats, but I imagine she would be great with all other creatures.
