“Jess cared for my hound dog for four days and treated her as if she were her own dog! She sent pictures and updates everyday and was super attentive to Luna’s needs. Jess has ducks and quails and a lovely corgis named Logan, needless to say, Luna was never bored and she was exhausted from her adventure when I picked her up😊 Jess gave us some fresh veggies and quail eggs too! Will definitely be bringing Luna back and I’m sure she can’t wait!”

About: I have always been an animal lover since childhood and have taken care of a variety of pets of all sizes! I've helped raise puppies, taken care of senior dogs, and helped train good walking, bathing, and bathroom habits. Most animals respond very well to me. Also being a bigger person I have no trouble dealing with larger dogs. Very experienced in all areas of pet care. I am at home this summer until my college classes start in the fall to continue my degree in early childhood education. Weekends or evenings are not a problem for house sitting. Drop by mid-day walks anytime I'm available! I have a lot of availability and would love to spend my time with animals giving them quality care and attention. I am more than happy to watch your pets while you are away on vacation or gone for the day. I Can do drop bys or overnights depending on your preference and your animals needs. I have a large fenced yard that is great for animals if you need boarding. I have reliable transportation to get to and from. I can take them on walks in your neighborhood or go to a local dog park if you prefer. Very open to working with what is best for your animal. I have my own dogs at home but will leave them there while caring for your animal(s) unless you would like the socializing. We have two friendly larger male dogs that love to meet new dogs if you are interested in doggy day care or boarding. Our home has a large size dog door for pets to access the house at their convenience.

“Madison is one of the only people I trust with my little dog Charlie. The best thing about her that I never have to worry about how my dog is doing because she always communicates and sends updates- at least two or three a day without me having to ask. My dog loves her other dogs and I know he is having fun while I’m away. I highly recommend Miranda - I feel so at peace that my dog is safe, nurtured and truly in good hands! 🙌”

“It seems my nervous dog was very comfortable (and even playful!) with Neil, Mariah, and their dog posse. In fact, he couldn’t wait to greet Neil at the door this last trip. I’m very happy to have found them, and it will be a relief to know Linny is in loving hands during future trips.”

“Sonja provides a wonderful environment for dogs and is a thoughtful, knowledgeable sitter. Although our puppy’s boarding experience didn’t work out due to his separation anxiety, I still want to leave a positive review to support her business. It’s clear she genuinely cares about dogs and considers their long-term development. When our pup grows into a confident gentleman someday, we’ll definitely look forward to coming back.”

“Negin was an excellent caretaker for our pup. Our dog can have some separation anxiety and she immediately warmed up to her. Negin was very responsive, a great communicator, and someone I would readily hire again and recommend.”

“Amy did a very great job taking care of Kilo for the 6 days 5 nights. I was away for work & she stepped in last minute to dog sit him in such short notice. She was able to accommodated exactly everything for Kilo :)”

“No doubt, I would come to Serjio again for all my pet sitting needs! My dog usually doesn’t like strangers but they clicked instantly. I was amazed at how well my dog was doing in his care! I fully expected behavioral issues due to my dog’s anxiety but Serjio said he did great and I think that’s all because of how well Serjio handles pets. He updated me with pictures of them playing and assured that my pup was doing just fine while I was away which helped me feel at ease. Thank you for taking such good care of my Ralphie!”

About: Friends call my home a dog retreat and relaxation center. It's a quiet, country setting with room to run, plenty to explore, and comfortable lounging. I've been fostering dogs and puppies with Redwood Pals Rescue for years and am a vetted volunteer with the Humboldt County Animal Shelter. I'm happy to send you photos or videos of how your dog's doing and feel free to text/call for updates anytime. I work from home most of the time. Dogs love the country routine and seem to relax here. I live rurally, in Southern Humboldt, but can meet for drop-offs and pick-ups in the Redway/Garberville area or the Arcata/Eureka/McKinleyville area or anywhere in between. For stays less than 4 days, I'll ask that we add the pick-up/drop-off fee. I have a large fenced yard, dog doors to come in and out of the house, and different areas to keep dogs separate, if needed. I usually keep new dogs separated from mine till they get to know each other and show that they like each other. I also have baby gates and can use dog crates inside if needed. I have hosted a lot of foster dogs and puppies for the Rescue and retreats for dogs from the Animal Shelter and have participated in numerous trainings with professional animal trainers and behaviorists. I know when I have to be away from my dogs that they need a kind person to hang out with, some fun, and a comfortable place to hangout till I can come back for them.

Elizabeth G.
“Lizzie is one of the most nurturing and reliable caregivers I’ve ever known. Animals and children are automatically drawn to her kind, gentle nature and always feel safe with her. Her keen instinct for sensing subtle changes in mood/behavior cannot be matched! One of my favorite things about Lizzie is the way she prioritizes daily exercise and playtime for the animals in her care. She also understands the importance of maintaining regular feeding times— plus she’s awesome about sending updates when requested. ❤️During the brief few months that Lizzie was my roommate, my dog has never been happier nor as well cared-for. 🐾 I can’t think of anyone more trustworthy to care for my baby!”

Cora B.

“Cora was very easy and pleas t to deal with. Her property was very nice for our dog Woody, who seemed to have a very good time with Cora and her dogs.”
