She cared for our puppy Mabel through the end of her first heat, and while we were away we felt that Mabel was well taken care of and minimized any stress we had while we were out of the country. Sonja's facilities were the deciding factor for us when choosing a sitter. She has a beautiful 2 acre fenced property which doubles as a doggy day care. Mabel was able to run around and socialize with her new friends and had a great time. It was exactly what we thought Mabel needed. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.

We bought a house with a big glass room that is being made into a kitty heaven. It come off of our kitchen. I currently have a dog and two cats, and I'm also trusted in my neighborhood and amongst family and friends as someone to watch their animals when they're gone. Im a full time college student but I usually always have my own animals in my bedroom with me, sitting under (or on top of) my desk while I work. I have a friendly dog who absolutely loves play dates, so your dog would never get bored. My backyard is quite large so the dogs have tons of room to run around and play. The fences are regularly checked for holes under them to ensure our dog can't get out. I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. About: I have experience with dogs and cats, young and old, easy and "difficult". I am very adept at walking and caring for reactive dogs who can have a hard time with other dogs and/or humans, and do my best to avoid any situations that can trigger reactive behaviors. About: Hi, I’m Virgo (formerly Jeremy)! I’ve been dog sitting my friends’ dogs for about 10yrs, and working for a dog trainer for about 2yrs. (My parents tell me I’ve loved dogs my whole life, but I can only partly confirm.) A few things I like about dog sitting is discovering their personalities and learning how to interprete and anticipate their needs. I’m not intimidated by high-energy/high-intelligence dogs either! Sadly 3 of them have passed on at this point, and It's just myself and my 12 yr old husky mix Suki now. I am only employed on a very part time basis, so I have a fairly open and flexible schedule for dog walking, home visits and boarding on most weekdays, and some weekends. I have a fenced back yard perfect for pets to hang out in, and there is also a covered area in the back yard if the weather is rainy. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech at a boarding/training facility and then moved on to become a trainer at that same facility. I always recommend crates for any situation but in my own home I would crate all dogs and rotate based on how they all get along. Feeding in the crate or separate from other animals. Daily walks or hikes depending on the animal. Cats would get daily enrichment. If weather doesn’t permit or the animal isn’t able to get that day I’d offer mental enrichment such as lick mats, food puzzles, play, training, etc.

About: I've been looking after dogs since I was a kid. I've always had dogs, I've worked for vets and for pet supply stores, and one side of my family is littered with vets and farm type folks. I have a ton of experience with all sorts of animals, but I love dogs the most. I live in an apartment with my 35 pound wonder mutt named Puck, and we're not allowed to have any animal guests, but I am more than willing to come to your place and follow your rules. Puck can also be left with a sitter if his presence would be an issue. I follow your directions and I care for your pets and your home as instructed. I am a fairly fastidious person. I believe in returning your place and your pets to you in at least as good a condition as I find them.

I was a little apprehensive about someone else walking my dog because she is still a young lab in training, Amy understood my concerns and made me feel comfortable with her services. On the days Amy would take Penny out, she constantly sent me updates with photos and videos of Penny playing with other dogs. Penny was also very well behaved with Amy, which was my concern, and that she listened to Amy.
