“Sam was great! My husband and I booked him for a few drop in visits while we were on vacation to have someone refill the water and food bowls. We have 2 cats and they are very shy with strangers. I didn't expect to get any pictures of them, but Sam went out of his way to find them in their hiding spots and take a picture for us. That put our minds at ease and we were able to focus on enjoying our vacation. When we came home the cats seemed very well cared for. We will definitely book Sam again in the future!”

About: I started a self made rehabilitation center in my parents back yard (age 14) specializing in rehabilitating and rehoming exotic birds. As most kids I’ve taken care of chickens, rodents, and of course I’ve owned cats and dogs my entire life. A few years ago I started pet sitting for family and friends. I’m from Humboldt CA, In Carlsbad for a few weeks. I have very open availability, I don’t mind spending nights, or doing drop in visits within a short distant. Feel free to ask me questions or concerns you may have and I’ll do my best to answer them for you. I have a fenced in back yard. Both my dogs are crate trained, but prefer cuddling me at night. I take very careful care of their diets and walk them daily mostly at the park or beach.

“Whenever I was Chip's houseguest while he was caring for a little dog named Roxy, I was impressed that Chip was always attentive, loving and caring for the little dog. Roxy was well fed and exercised and seemed completely at home. She was brushed and bathed on a regular basis. Chip was taking care of the dog while the dogs owner was fighting Cancer. Roxy had the run of the house, her own bed, a patio where she could enjoy the sun during the day and an outside meadow to commune with other dogs. I bet she thought she was on vacation!”

We needed to change our dates and she was easily reachable and super accommodating. We knew scoots was in good hands and we will be booking Zalie again next month. “Kate did a great job with my 2 slightly needy kittehs when I was out of town for a weekend. Cats don’t always need attention if it’s just for a night or two, but since I was gone from early Friday until late Sunday, I wanted them to have a couple visits. Food, water, litterboxes, meds, & playtime (plus cute pics thereof)… I came home to significantly less whiny floofs than if I’d left them home alone all weekend, & I felt a lot better about it too. Good communication from Kate throughout. I’d definitely recommend her & will reach back out to her myself next time Mercutia & Maeve need some TLC.”

About: I have 1 dog and 2 cats. I work in Arcata M-f 8-4 with open weekend availability. My husband will watch our furbabies while I give yours my undivided attention! I am well versed in medication and dietary restrictions as my dogs have had a variety of allergy related problems I've had to solve and also am good with leash training as my younger dog is very excitable and too happy (strong) so he has had to learn some leash manners. I look forward to hearing from you and your pets! Weekend availability unless it is the holidays and then I am typically available all the time as we rarely travel and often get work off. Fenced yard with friendly cats and dog, reliable transportation to your home, I also have lots of knowledge in exotic pets and birds as well.

About: I became a first time pet parent three years ago and have sat for my friends whenever needed. I love animals and my friends jokingly refer to me as the animal whisperer. I love my dogs like they are my children and I will love your pets the same. I am currently a full time student, so I am available pretty much every day except for a few hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I will definitely spoil your pet with love and affection. Whatever your schedule is with your fur baby I will keep unless you give me free range on what to do or give to your pet. I know some pretty nice pet friendly parks that I would love to take your pet to or we can just go for a walk around the neighborhood.
