“Alexa is part of the family. My dog Duke loves her so much, and she is invaluable to me. When I'm away I know my boy misses me but having Alexa look after him makes him so happy. She is reliable, punctual, kind, caring and trustworthy. I would recommend her to anyone considering her. A+++++”

“Melissa was great with my dog, Blaze! She not only provided Blaze with much needed exercise on her daily walks, but she almost always stuck around to give a little tender love and care to our pooch. She also brought in our mail, which was an unexpected perk. I highly recommend Melissa. She is a reliable and loving caretaker of dogs.”
“Lisbeth has been a wonderful addition to our family of pet caretakers! She is always on time and polite, and Ravioli always has a good walk- looking forward to having Lisbeth help us for a long time!”

About: Hi! I have 22 years of experience and 55+ five star reviews here on Rover. I love dogs since I was 6 years old. I specialize in taking care of small dogs up to 25 pounds. I currently have 2 pups - 3 year old Yorkie named Cosita & 3 year old pug named Madrid. Before them, I've taken care of my pugs, Miami & Aliza (both 16 years old when they passed away in December 2020 & February 2021), along with pets of my neighbors, friends, and family friends. I know almost every dog breed by heart. My favorite dog breeds are Pugs and Yorkshire Terriers. I am available during the work week to take care of your fur baby, as I work from home part-time. This means that I am able to provide your pet with plenty of attention and exercise, even on weekdays. I am also able to adjust my schedule to accommodate your pet's needs, such as if they need to be fed or let outside at specific times. I am committed to providing your pet with the best possible care, and I will do everything I can to make sure they feel comfortable and loved while you are away. I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs - my Yorkshire Terrier and my Pug - to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed (only if you instruct so)... I am also experienced in dog walking and drop-in visits. I make sure that your fur baby has water, food, and is able to do their business outside. ****I only accept dogs that weigh no more than 25 pounds**** Please feel free to reach out to book me and ask me any questions and/or comments! :)
About: I am current graduate student at Ramapo college looking for a new way to spend time with dogs (since I can’t get one of my own just yet)! I just ended my time volunteering at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay as a short term volunteer with completing my undergraduate degree. In the past I have worked at a dog daycare taking care of 15-20 dogs at a time. I pet sit for friends and family all the time but I am looking to meet new furry friends. I’m currently working part-time and attending school full-time on two nights a week. During the week, I have some nights free, and before classes, I have mornings and afternoons free! I will not offer in-home services as I have a family pet that does not get along well with other dogs, but does great with humans.
“Great with our girl Ruby! So happy to have found Courtney. Shes been wonderful in helping us with our 8 month old boxer. Asks for recommendations to improve Rubys experience, follows instructions and keeps us in the loop with updates.”

About: I've been a pet owner my whole life. There was always a dog in my home when I was a child. Later on, in my own home had raised two dogs and a cat from their earliest days. My sweet Golden Retriever, Milo, was with me and my kids since he was 10 weeks old. He was amazing! Sadly after a year of being sick and fighting a good fight, it became too much for him. My kids & I said goodbye to him with many tears and such a heaviness in our hearts. It has been sad not seeing his happy face when I come home or unusual to not have to take him out for his nighttime walk. We miss him so much! I would love to be able to share my love that I had for him with the caring of another dog. I'm home during the day which allows me to have the time to devote to your dogs.i also have two teenage kids who are able to walk and play with him. I live on a quiet dead end street with hardly any cars coming through. I have a nice sized yard which is great for playing and taking in the suns rays(my dog would love to just roll his body over in the grass...lol). So I would being taking care of your precious baby boy/girl as if he/she was my own! I also will only take care of one dog at a time... so YOUR dog will have ALL my attention! I am a very easy going down to earth person.... I'd love to chat with you about your needs and concerns for your dog. Please let me know what I can do to help you ... Talk to you soon! Kathy

“Samuel was absolutely AMAZING with our mini golden doodle, Tali. He came for an hour long walk exactly as planned and Tali was one happy girl!! Highly recommend Samuel if you need someone to sit for or walk your fur baby :)”

Noelle was punctual, reliable, and so sweet with my dog. This was a last-minute booking, and I really appreciated how quickly she responded and was able to help. She took him for a walk, made sure he was fed, and took great care of him. I would definitely book with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
