“Jen was great at wrangling our gremlin! Super professional and reliable. I felt totally comfortable leaving my pup with them, and she provides great updates. Our pup typically hides for awhile from new walkers but Jen was able to get him out and comfortable in just a few minutes! Highly recommend! 😇🩷”

“I am very glad we booked Tanaisa to check in on our cats while we were out of town. She was dependable, communicative, and attentive. You can tell she is an animal lover based in the feedback and photos she provided me with daily. We will absolutely book with her again next time we need help with our pets.”

About: I have been caring for animals for most of my life and truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I take pride in being reliable, gentle, and patient with every animal I care for. During summer I have lots of free time, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine with feeding, walks, play, and weekly cleaning tasks. I provide safe, attentive care in clients’ homes, follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, maintain cleanliness, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure. I don’t pet sit at home.
“Krystal took excellent care of our fur babies while we were out of town for the first time after moving into our new home. We appreciated her twice daily visits, with photos and updates. She was very trustworthy and we would recommend her to anyone who needs peace of mind when leaving their beloved pets.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. As an adult, I’ve owned bully breeds and have rehabbed my current dog from a slipped disc injury because we couldn’t afford physical therapy. Our dog went from not being able to walk, to walking and now has a goofy run when he’s outside in our backyard. I’ve taken care of friends and families pets when they are out of town and treat them like my own. I work in a middle school for he majority of the year but need to earn some extra cash over the summer. As of now, there are no trips planned and I will be home all summer long. I’m available 6/12-8/18, before our PDs hit and school starts. Then I will be available on weekends. When it comes to caring for my pets, or any pets, I will always follow the guidance of the owner and/or vet and not deviate. For example, my dog has chronic ear infections and allergies, I follow the vets instructions to a T whenever there is more advanced home care. I have experience with rehabbing my dog as well.
“I was a little skeptical of Rover to begin with, but all my skepticism went right away once I met Kelsey and saw how good she is with my dogs. They loved her instantly and I know she took great care of them while I was out of town. She did drop in visits and also walked them, she even sent me picture updates after each visit. I felt Great peace of mind after each update and I was able to truly relax because I knew my dogs were in good hands. I also know that my dogs were able to stay relaxed and avoid the anxiety of going to a kennel. Kelsey is a genuine and great girl, I definitely trust her to come into my home and to take excellent care of my pets. You won't be disappointed :) I'll definitely be having her watch my dogs next time I'm out of town.”

“McKenna was great! She did a drop-in visit for our chinchillas and was communicative, reliable, and clearly cared for them well. We came home to happy chins and really appreciated the peace of mind. Would absolutely book with her again!”

“Frances is highly recommended. Our Chihuahua escaped from our fenced side yard. Frances notified us immediately and searched the neighbor's yards. She found her and saved the day. Frances is professional and prompt (she always responds in a couple of minutes to our Rover requests.) She is awesome!”
About: Hello, I am a animal lover. I love dogs! My family has dogs and I have the basic skills on taking care of them such as walking and feeding and entertaining! I would love to gain more experience by spending time with these animals that is not only a job, but a fun hobby! I believe my admiration for these animals makes me great sitter because I will care for them and make sure the dog will be in good hands. I will make sure to follow the owners instructions and create a great, safe environment for the pet so they will have a great time with me, the sitter! :) I am able to take care and walk the dogs throughout the day with a very flexible schedule. About: I have had pets my entire life from basenjis to a Great Pyrenees malamute, and two large tabby cats. Ive also had puppies as young as a day old and a dog as old as 14. I am a full time college student and I work part time so weekends are best during school but on breaks I have lots of availability. “Ashley came through during a tight situation and was able to make sure our girls were well taken care of. She was flexible for last minute schedule changes that were out of our control. Ashley is awesome when you need someone reliable at the last minute. She was pateint with our anxious chihuahua, punctual and very responsive to all texts. I highly recommend her!”

Hannah did a great job! She took care of our two cats while we were away. She followed all the care instructions, sent pics and spent time with them. We really appreciated her extra effort to get to our more remote area and for giving our cat friends great care.

Karalynn was amazing! We met beforehand so she could meet all the pets and get the details of what to do. She was responsive and on time. Each trip, she took great care of all our pets and sent pictures so we could add how everyone was doing. She was great and I would definitely recommend and rebook her! 🩷

We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. She went above and beyond taking care of our cats and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. Our cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we got home. Truly grateful for her help and would absolutely book again.

Krystal was trustworthy and communicative throughout our first time away from our dog Juniper and our cat Luna. The peace of mind she gave us was priceless! We were able to relax knowing our pets were well cared for. Krystal even left us a handwritten note and turned our house lights on in a welcoming gesture to our return. It’s not often that we come across a professional who goes beyond the basics of their responsibility but Krystal did this. She had a unique connection with both of our rescue pets. We highly recommend Krystal to all who want to feel confident that their pets are being cared for and loved while they are away.

Jennifer was great with my cats and very easy to talk to before and during the visit! She was comfortable with giving medications to my medical needy cat and keeping a close eye on her to make sure everything was going alright. Would definitely book her to cat sit again!

Absolutely loved Cassandra the minute I met her! She is so sweet and she did such a wonderful job taking care of my kitties! They warmed up to her immediately which doesn’t usually happen. Great communication and great daily feedback as well. Highly, highly recommend Cassandra! I will absolutely book her again the next time!!

Vivian has been great with our new puppy, Ruby. She takes her outside to potty, works on some training, gives her love and attention, and been especially helpful with making sure she is clean and comfortable since Ruby has had GI issues. She has really gone above and beyond and we highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
