“Karalynn did a great job, was prompt with her visits and made sure my kitties were fed, watered, and their litter boxes were clean. I have feral kitties so they were hiding during her visits. She sent photos after each visit which I really appreciated. She also quickly responded to any text I sent her about my kitties during my trip away, loved that. I felt they were in very good hands while I was gone. I would work with her again.”

“I chose Krystal H. as my sitter the second time I used Rover. She is was awesome & fantastic. Thank you so much for always taking such great care of Max & Luna. The in person meeting before leaving was great so that we could meet and she could see where everything was. She is very reliable and trustworthy with animals and seems to have a huge soft spot for my kitties. The fact that my Luna came to her for "pets" is amazing since she is a shy kitty! I felt so safe leaving my furbabies with her. They even got some play time & I got lots of pics and updates — I’ll definitely use her again in the future”

“Our first time having Nancy stay with our 3 dogs was a very good experience! One of our dogs is a 5 month old rambunctious Siberian Husky and we were sure he would test Nancy's abilities. Nancy rose to the challenge and handled everyone beautifully and seems to have natural abilities with dogs. We will definitely be calling on Nancy again to care for our boys. Highly recommend Nancy. Thank you Nancy. ❤️?”

“Jennifer was great! She took great care of our cat while we were away and kept us updated. We came home to a happy, well cared for cat. We’d definitely book with her again!”

About: Currently a part-time nurse looking to make a few extra bucks taking care of your fur babies. I am a dog mom, myself, and would love to drop in and take care of them or help them get their daily exercise!! Working part time and schedule can vary. If my calendar says I’m unavailable, please don’t hesitate to still reach out — I may be able to work out a time on that day with you. I try to be as flexible as I can 🐾😊 I can either drop in to check on and feed your pets, or I stay and give them some attention and time to get their energy out. I can also take them out on walks around the neighborhood! I love mixing it up with running/walking, as tolerated by the pups. I have more experience with dogs than cats, but I’m happy to stop in and check on them!🐱
About: I have had pets my entire life from basenjis to a Great Pyrenees malamute, and two large tabby cats. Ive also had puppies as young as a day old and a dog as old as 14. I am a full time college student and I work part time so weekends are best during school but on breaks I have lots of availability. I have many animals of my own so I prefer to pet sit at your own house. I have five pets at home 2 cats and three dogs.

About: Hi, I'm Pedro! I'm a proud corgi owner who takes dog care seriously — so seriously that I make my own dog's food from scratch, balanced down to the micronutrients. When I care for your pet, you're getting someone who genuinely understands dogs' needs, from exercise and enrichment to diet and body language. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which means consistent availability for midday walks and drop-in visits — no last-minute cancellations because of a shift change. My background is in hospitality and customer service, so clear communication is second nature: expect photo updates, detailed report cards, and quick responses every time. What you can count on from me: I follow your routine and instructions exactly (feeding amounts, medications, leash rules — your dog, your way), I'm attentive to safety on walks (secure harness checks, no off-leash unless you approve it, awareness of hazards), and I treat every pet like my own. I'm also fluent in Portuguese, so I'm happy to communicate in either language. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk, a potty break, playtime, or just some company while you're away, I'll make sure they're happy, safe, and loved. I work remotely from home with a flexible schedule, so pet care fits naturally into my day. I'm available for midday walks and drop-in visits on weekdays, with additional availability in the evenings and on weekends. Because I'm not commuting or tied to shift work, I can offer consistent, reliable time slots week after week — and I'm often able to accommodate last-minute requests. Caring for my own corgi is already part of my daily routine, so adding your pup's walk or visit is a seamless part of my schedule, never an afterthought. All care takes place in your home and neighborhood, following your instructions exactly — feeding routines, medications, house rules, and preferred walking routes. On walks, I double-check that harnesses and collars are secure before heading out, keep dogs leashed at all times unless you've approved otherwise, and stay alert to hazards like hot pavement, other dogs, and anything tempting on the ground. During drop-ins, I make sure doors and gates are locked when I leave and your pet is settled and safe. You'll get photos and a detailed update at every visit, so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I've cared for pets—my own and those of friends and family—for years, and it's a passion of mine. I love cats and dogs equally, and at home I've got two sweet, energetic Bengal cats who keep me on my toes! Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or just cuddles, I'll treat your pets like part of my own family. Reliable, attentive, and always happy to help! I have a flexible schedule as I work from home and live in the Ridgefield area. I am happy to travel to Salmon Creek, La Center or Northern Vancouver. Pets do best in familiar environments — especially cats — so I always come to your home rather than the other way around. I treat every pet like my own: love, attention, and energy matched to their activity level. Just tell me what they need, and I'll take care of it. While you're away, I'll send frequent updates so you stay connected, and will stick to their normal routine to keep them comfortable. I've worked with all kinds of breeds, personalities, and quirks. Earning trust with both pets and their owners is my top priority — love and play are a close second. I'm happy to bring your pet to dog parks, rivers or trails so they can have fun while you are away.
“I am very glad we booked Tanaisa to check in on our cats while we were out of town. She was dependable, communicative, and attentive. You can tell she is an animal lover based in the feedback and photos she provided me with daily. We will absolutely book with her again next time we need help with our pets.”

“We are grateful to know that Alisha is available to provide care when we are away. We actually planned our last away day around her availability. So great to not have to worry about our dogs when we are away.”

“Kai was great with our dogs. He was super attentive and detailed, great at communication, and took great care of our dogs. We will definitely be booking him again in the future.”

About: I grew up on 5 acres with lots of animals, from dogs to cats, chickens, and even rabbits. 6 years ago, I got my first puppy and now have a lifelong best friend. I'm familiar with simple care routines, as well as advanced care, including complex feeding routines and even insulin shots. I'm currently between jobs, and so I have a very flexible schedule that I can pivot to your needs. I'm excited to provide exactly what you need. I'm excited to provide careful attention and affection to your pets. I'm comfortable with a variety of pet personalities and needs. Specialized care is no problem!
About: I have been caring for animals for most of my life and truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I take pride in being reliable, gentle, and patient with every animal I care for. During summer I have lots of free time, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine with feeding, walks, play, and weekly cleaning tasks. I provide safe, attentive care in clients’ homes, follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, maintain cleanliness, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure. I don’t pet sit at home.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was at least 7, my family's and others. I absolutely love animals and love to see them happy and having a good time. I am able to walk, do a bit of training, feed, and bathe the pets if needed. My experience is more cats and dogs, however I have taken care of bearded dragons, snakes, and others. I am currently not working and have all the time in the world to help you relax and know your pets and or house is taken care of. I make sure pets are fed on their schedule, potty breaks, lots of play/a good walk or two. My happiness stems from making sure pets are safe, happy, and healthy.
“Megan was an amazing help to my family, not to mention she became a best friend to my sweet GSD, Cora! I had just started a new job and had a ton of anxiety over Cora being able to still get out during the day and get the exercise that she needed. Megan was able to not only walk, but also play with Cora 3 days a week while I was in the office. What you should know about Cora is that she is a 16-month-old GSD with a ton of energy. She's also a big girl and can be difficult to handle on a leash, especially when she sees other doggies! Megan learned how to train and keep Cora under control on walks and developed a beautiful trusting bond with her. I will continue to choose Megan in the future for any of Cora's needs. She truly is the best!”

Karalynn was amazing! We met beforehand so she could meet all the pets and get the details of what to do. She was responsive and on time. Each trip, she took great care of all our pets and sent pictures so we could add how everyone was doing. She was great and I would definitely recommend and rebook her! 🩷

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
