“Krystal is always absolutely amazing with my cats! I always feel confident she’s giving the best care, so I never have to feel nervous about going on trips (even with a troublemaker)! Her updates are so detailed and she also takes adorable photos! Highly recommend!!”

“Breann was great! She took care of my 4 cats for 18 days. They each have a weird habit that makes things interesting but she was able to manage everything very well. Breann is very communicative and reported to me everyday, to include photos of each of them. We came home to happy kitties and vacuumed rugs!! And, in order to make herself available she rearranged her work scheduled. Awesome!”

“Karalynn did a great job, was prompt with her visits and made sure my kitties were fed, watered, and their litter boxes were clean. I have feral kitties so they were hiding during her visits. She sent photos after each visit which I really appreciated. She also quickly responded to any text I sent her about my kitties during my trip away, loved that. I felt they were in very good hands while I was gone. I would work with her again.”

“I am very glad we booked Tanaisa to check in on our cats while we were out of town. She was dependable, communicative, and attentive. You can tell she is an animal lover based in the feedback and photos she provided me with daily. We will absolutely book with her again next time we need help with our pets.”

“Molly M. is the best! She is perfectly communicative and she quelled my anxiety and my rescue cat’s anxiety. Molly made everything easy. She was excellent with my cat’s disposition. My cat and I have mutual separation anxiety, but I feel confident to leave town as needed now knowing that Molly will keep a loving and skilled eye on Sasha. =^_^=”
“Jennifer was great! She took great care of our cat while we were away and kept us updated. We came home to a happy, well cared for cat. We’d definitely book with her again!”

About: I have been caring for animals for most of my life and truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I take pride in being reliable, gentle, and patient with every animal I care for. During summer I have lots of free time, so pet care fits easily into my daily routine with feeding, walks, play, and weekly cleaning tasks. I provide safe, attentive care in clients’ homes, follow instructions closely, keep routines consistent, maintain cleanliness, and ensure pets feel comfortable and secure. I don’t pet sit at home.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better cat sitter. She went above and beyond taking care of our cats and made us feel completely comfortable while we were away. Our cats were happy, relaxed, and well cared for when we got home. Truly grateful for her help and would absolutely book again.”

“McKenna was the first dog sitter we’ve ever hired and she provided a nice experience. She was respectful of our home and extremely patient with both of our pups and navigated this new situation for our dogs perfectly. She had excellent communication skills, always reached out with questions and responded promptly to any questions that I had. She provided pics and updates along the way. I would book her again for our pups.”

About: I have had pets my entire life from basenjis to a Great Pyrenees malamute, and two large tabby cats. Ive also had puppies as young as a day old and a dog as old as 14. I am a full time college student and I work part time so weekends are best during school but on breaks I have lots of availability. I have many animals of my own so I prefer to pet sit at your own house. I have five pets at home 2 cats and three dogs.
About: I've cared for pets—my own and those of friends and family—for years, and it's a passion of mine. I love cats and dogs equally, and at home I've got two sweet, energetic Bengal cats who keep me on my toes! Whether it's playtime, walks, feeding, or just cuddles, I'll treat your pets like part of my own family. Reliable, attentive, and always happy to help! I have a flexible schedule as I work from home and live in the Ridgefield area. I am happy to travel to Salmon Creek, La Center or Northern Vancouver. Pets do best in familiar environments — especially cats — so I always come to your home rather than the other way around. I treat every pet like my own: love, attention, and energy matched to their activity level. Just tell me what they need, and I'll take care of it. While you're away, I'll send frequent updates so you stay connected, and will stick to their normal routine to keep them comfortable. I've worked with all kinds of breeds, personalities, and quirks. Earning trust with both pets and their owners is my top priority — love and play are a close second. I'm happy to bring your pet to dog parks, rivers or trails so they can have fun while you are away.
“Kai was great with our dogs. He was super attentive and detailed, great at communication, and took great care of our dogs. We will definitely be booking him again in the future.”

“Megan was an amazing help to my family, not to mention she became a best friend to my sweet GSD, Cora! I had just started a new job and had a ton of anxiety over Cora being able to still get out during the day and get the exercise that she needed. Megan was able to not only walk, but also play with Cora 3 days a week while I was in the office. What you should know about Cora is that she is a 16-month-old GSD with a ton of energy. She's also a big girl and can be difficult to handle on a leash, especially when she sees other doggies! Megan learned how to train and keep Cora under control on walks and developed a beautiful trusting bond with her. I will continue to choose Megan in the future for any of Cora's needs. She truly is the best!”

“I could not possibly say enough words about Kelsey! She was amazing! She stayed at the house and hung out with our two girls (labs) while my husband and I were away. We have also had Kelsey help us out during lunch/potty breaks when we were unable to make it to the house during the day. Kelsey is so sweet and sincere in what she does and how she does it! I highly recommend her! She even came to the house a couple times and chatted with me for a few hours before we initially hired her. After talking with her, I knew she had a sweet and fun-loving personality, which is exactly what we were looking for in our new sitter! ”
“Ashley was great with our two girls. She took plenty of pics and provided check in and check out updates to keep us informed while we were away. I would definitely book with her again!”

This is the second time we have had Krystal come and take care of our two cats. She is always on time and always leaves a detailed account of her visit. She is always very prompt at communicating. I highly recommend her and look forward to having her back again in the future.

Hannah did a great job! She took care of our two cats while we were away. She followed all the care instructions, sent pics and spent time with them. We really appreciated her extra effort to get to our more remote area and for giving our cat friends great care.

Karalynn did a great job, was prompt with her visits and made sure my kitties were fed, watered, and their litter boxes were clean. I have feral kitties so they were hiding during her visits. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ridgefield. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
