About: I’ve had two dogs and currently have one cat. All of my pets are seniors and incredibly well loved. My best friends in the entire world! I’m currently unemployed as I am waiting for government clearance to start my job as a research assistant! I’m located in the Chicago suburbs so I’m able to provide care to suburbs and Chicago! About: I lived and worked on my grandparents farm from a toddler to about 15/16 years old, taking care of horses, buffalo, cows, dogs and cats. My animals were my family. Although I have no more pets of my own, I am an auntie to 2 beautiful cats my best friend has. I am a server so my schedule is very flexible. I live downtown and am near lots of parks. I can change my schedule to accommodate usually, except at night. Evenings I am not available most nights from 4-10pm. When I used to stay with my grandparents and their dog Duke, he was trained to stand by the door when he had to go to the bathroom. We fed him twice a day, his water bowl was always always full, we spoiled him so he got cheese and hot dogs most days for treats. We went outside plenty because we lived on a ranch. We played fetch everyday as well. In a clients home, I tend to follow their eating instructions, keep the water bowl always full, only give the animal treats that are approved by the owner, exercise and of course give them the attention I’d give my own. As for others homes, I would listen to instructions, observe behaviors, treat the area with respect, tend to the animal and be present.
“Wow. Jade went above and beyond for my cat. I told Jade before she watched my cat, Sister, that I was nervous because she’s such an anxious cat and I didn’t want things to be too difficult. Fret not. I come home to see my cat out in the living room- basking in the sun, not a care in the world. She wasn’t hiding like she usually does when new people are around, no, she was purring and relaxed. When I went to pet Sister, I made a crazy discovery. Her nails? Trimmed. Her hair? Washed. Not only that, I had told Jade not to worry about the litter box since I wouldn’t be gone for long. And what did Jade do? She deep cleaned it. Deep cleaned my cat’s litter box just because. I mean come on. Talk about a cat sitter! I could not recommend this girl more. She’s thoughtful, she’s kind, she’s an animal whisperer.
