About: Hi! I've been around animals my whole life, and caring for pets is truly second nature to me. I've owned and loved both dogs and cats since I was a kid, and that lifelong experience shows in how I care for every animal I meet. What really sets me apart is my background in pet care and dog training. I graduated from Norfolk County Agricultural High School, where I took many animal science courses. I took classes in canine behavior, pet shop management, and animal science. I learned how to handle, groom, and care for dogs of all breeds, through hands-on experiences. I bring patience, knowledge, and lots of love to every pet I care for. I am college student spending the rest of my summer from July 8 until August 22 at home. This means I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m already helping my family take care of our own dog, so adding more pets to my routine fits in perfectly! I am available Monday through Friday and am very flexible throughout the day, so I can easily accommodate different schedules and needs. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s, their safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I stay in tune with how they are feeling, making sure they’re well-fed, clean, healthy, and getting plenty of rest and outdoor time. At home, I provide a pet-friendly environment. I’m also lucky to live next to a reservation with trails, open fields, and ponds and streams perfect for dogs who love to explore nature. I enjoy taking pets on these little adventures to keep them active and mentally stimulated. When it comes to pet care, I always treat each animal as if they were my own.

“Lou is great. He's flexible and is great with my big Malamute and Bernese. I work long shifts every once in a while and I have no doubt that they'll be fine while I'm at work when Lou comes over to take them for a walk.”

“As new dog parents, we were nervous to have someone else help with our senior pup. Brooke was great! She communicated well before, during and after and was very reliable. Looking forward to having her come again!”

“Beatrice walks our Bernie daily - great communication with us - and we are new pet owners so texting her constantly! We have been working with her for over a month now and feel really lucky to have found her.”

“Very reliable! Alisha always lets me know well in advance if she’s traveling and communicates very well. She’s great with all of my pets. My dog is one who has to warm up to people.”

“Marissa helped out with some dog walking for me while I was away. She was excellent with my pup and flexible with my schedule and coordinated with my housesitter which was much appreciated. Recommended!”

About: Since my first job pet-sitting dogs at 9, I've loved caring for and hanging out with animals. I've worked with animals of all ages, sizes, and species, including litters of husky puppies, guinea pigs, and full-sized pigs. The internship I'm currently working is part-time, so my schedule has a lot of flexibility. I am free Friday through Mondays as well as Tuesday-Thursday after 4pm. I'm available and happy to care for your pet in whatever capacity is most helpful, whether that be bathroom breaks, walking, or house-sitting. My only limitation is boarding, as my apartment is pet-free.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes since I was in 5th grade and had a rescue of my own. I have been a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs For The Blind since 2021 and have raised 3-4 puppies. I am an animal science enthusiast and love getting to know each animal. I have experience with dog training and socializing, medication administration, dog walking (any breed), animal handling and much more. I would love to work with you and your pets to make your Rover experience as smooth and good as possible. I am currently a college student and hope to become a dog trainer or something like that someday. I will have plenty of time to work with you and make your pet’s experience with great. I am willing to work with you on scheduling however needed. I am a very observant person and good at seeing how an animal is feeling and how to handle their preferences. I will keep your house and whatever I use clean and in as good of shape as I found it or better.

About: Hi! I’ve been pet sitting and had my own dog for many years. Now, I have experience from drop-in visits to extended overnight stays, with many different types of needs. I’m dedicated to caring for a pet the same way their owner would and look forward to spending time with animals. I work from home most days and can accommodate a flexible potty schedule and activity level. I enjoy taking breaks to spend with pets, to get outside or tuck in on the sofa! I have an enclosed garden and large, unfenced yard. We are well back from the main road so pets are welcome to explore the neighborhood.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life since I was born. Whether it was the family dog or one of my own, they've always been a part of my world. Numerous friends have asked me to dog sit for them, or even provide kitty playtime when they are out of town. I have experience with senior dogs and animals that require medication or special needs. Every pet is different, and I am committed to making sure they each receive the specific love and care they deserve. I currently work full time as an assistant manager of a local hotel, but will be providing pet care on my days off which are Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as after work which usually ends around 6pm. Safety is a high priority when it comes to our loved ones. When I am around dogs and cats, I am always reading body language and taking my cues from them. I believe in making sure every adventure we go on together is safe and controlled. I am attentive, professional, and flexible if the situation calls for it.

About: I am a professional dog groomer and have been working with dogs of all ages and temperaments. I have senior care experience and experience with training puppies the basics. Being a pet groomer I’ve made pet care my career. Every morning before work I take my own pet for a small walk and to potty before breakfast. Most days your pet will come with me to work to hangout with me and other pets unless requested otherwise. Potty breaks will be given as needed. Dinner will be given around l 530pm at 630 we will go for a walk typically half a mile then come home for free play and to settle in for the night. I have a dog of my own named Goose that would love to keep your pet company if they are interested. We will go on a walk in the afternoon and have enrichment time. I can easily crate your dog if needed or go over any training you might be working on.

About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. Nothing makes me happier than a dog and nothing makes my dog happier than being with other dogs! I hope to ease the stress that can come from managing life and wanting the best for your pup by providing a safe space for them to have fun! I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

“Allison was great with our dogs. She was on time, communicated well and the dogs seemed to enjoy the time she spent with them. We would definitely have her help care for our dogs again in the future.”

“Colby did great with our Basset Hound, Muffin. They both seemed to enjoy each other immediately. They went for a nice walk, and Muffin offered Colby many kisses afterwards as a thank you. Colby seemed to handle Muffin's little antics quite well, and they parted as new friends. Thank you, Colby!”

“The sweetest family! Hannah was so patience with my Indy - she could read him so well, very knowledgeable on dog behavior. I joined the first walk to see how Indy would do with her 2 beautiful and sweet pups, because he can be reactive at first but Hannah quickly assessed the situation, guiding her dogs throughout the walk to where Indy was comfortable. I can’t express enough how lucky we feel to have met her family!!”

About: I grew up with many animals, both my own pets, and animals on my grandfather's dairy farm (he was also a vet). I live in the country in Richmond, and have cats, young kids and animals Rover won't let me name in the description...but they provide eggs. We have dogs in our "extended family" and we are well accustomed to dogs but we do not have one ourselves at this time. If your dog is 100% safe with those people and pets and well-behaved, let's talk! Independently insured. I am currently working from home so have a lot of flexibility to pet sit. We enjoy walking and hiking and are happy to take dogs with us. We would need to do a meet & greet to make sure it is a good match. Our yard is not fenced, and we are on a dirt road in the country with woods on the property and surrounding it, so dogs should not be prone to bolting etc. They must be 100% safe with young kids, cats and free range egg producers. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.

“We are so happy with Casey. She’s on time, she communicates very well, and she leaves detailed descriptions of her walks with Maple! Maple loves her!!”

Reed M.

“Reed was great with Clea, always on time with very little advance notice. I hope to book more walks in the future.”

Anika G.
“I have two young rescue dogs. They are young and full of energy, with personalities that couldn't be more distinct from one another. Anika stayed at our house and took care of both of them for the weekend. She has a kind, calm, but confident way about her. She understands how to approach and work with dogs. The dogs took to her immediately and were on the couch next to her before I could even notice. She fed, walked, and played with the dogs all weekend. I would recommend her to any dog owner! Your dogs will be in good hands.”

“She is super communicative and reliable and great with our dog! Highly recommend!”

Lucia M.
“Lucia is simply amazing! She is so kind and attentive to the wellbeing of those she cares about. Humans and pets alike are blessed to have her in their life. She has looked after my cat numerous times and the only cause for concern is that my cat’s allegiance may now align more closely with Lucia than me. Jokes aside, Lucia is who you want looking after your pet(s).”

Georgia R.
“Georgia was the best fur baby sitter anyone could ask for! She followed specific instructions exactly as asked and my dog let me know she was treated well because she was always happy to see Georgia. We are very happy that she got into the college of her choice but we were also very sad to lose our most trusted sitter.”

Alexandra M.
“Alex and I have been friends for almost 10 years, and she is a respectful, reliable, trustworthy, and supportive person. When it comes to dogs, Alex will go above and beyond to make sure your dog is safe and cared for, while also having a ton of fun. Alex grew up with dogs, and I lived with her for a few years when she adopted her late dog, Leia. Since Leia's passing, Alex has taken care of my 8-year-old dog, and he adores her. I would highly recommend Alex to any dog owner for walks or overnight stays.”

Victoria D.
“Victoria is a great groomer, patient, and really listens to her clients. I have known her for many years. Very experienced with dogs of all sizes and ages.”

LeAnn G.
“LeAnn has been my go-to dog and cat sitter for some time now. I know that my two rambunctious dogs, Tank and Champ, are always going to be in safe and loving hands when I leave for a short-day trip or a long weekend trip. I love all the photos she sends me of Tank and Champ when she takes them on runs, walks, and hikes. I have truly never known someone who cares so much about animals, and who is so incredibly knowledgeable about the psychology of dogs. Her experience training dogs as a teenager has primed her well for understanding the needs of many dogs. She has also watched my cat, Oliver, who absolutely loves her. She is very communicative, trustworthy, friendly, and reliable. I can easily say that LeAnn's dog, Brisket, is the happiest dog I have known which shows a lot about her caretaking style. I will continue to recommend LeAnn to anyone who is looking for a great pet-sitter.”
