About: I truly enjoy the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages and of all types. It’s not just a source of income, but something I truly enjoy. I frequently dog and house sit for family and friends, and look forward to doing the same for you. I currently have open availability to dedicate to taking care of your pups. I am happy to check in on them, take them for walks, make sure they are fed, provide overnight pet sitting (at your home). I had a pup of my own for fourteen years, but don’t have one at the moment. I look forward to the opportunity! I am available to walk, feed, and pet sit at your home. Long walks for exercise, spending time to be sure they are comfortable, whatever is required. I unfortunately do not have boarding at my home as the building I’ve lived in for nearly twenty years is designated a “historical landmark” and pets are prohibited.

About: I've owned and taken care of dogs my entire life. I'm proud to be one of the first people friends and family call when a petsitter is needed. I love walking, and I love dogs. This seems like the perfect opportunity to exercise and get my animal fix! I'm currently working full-time Monday through Friday. I can do evening walks after 5:00 PM (as weather allows) and I can do weekends between 9:00 AM - 6 PM. My current apartment doesn't allow pets, but I can housesit on weekends or in the evenings if the location is somewhat close to my work in Waterbury. I'm a long-time vegetarian, and have always had an extra sensitive heart when it comes to animals. I think that earning an animal's trust is such a privilege and gift, and I honor that. I cannot house pets in my current apartment, but I will follow the guidance and knowledge of the owners in their homes and while on walks.

About: I had a dog (pitbull mix) that passed at 14 years old last year and I often took care of my aunt’s dog (redhound mix) that lived until she was 16, so I can handle senior care for dogs. I have lived with cats in the past and have experience cat sitting as well. I have a flexible schedule in the summertime and have a job outdoors that I can take dogs to, though they would just have to get along with other dogs if I bring them to work. My home is just as welcome to pets as it is to humans. I have a large shared (unfenced) yard space and love taking dogs on (leashed!) walks around my neighborhood and surrounding mountains/natural areas. I have 3 years experience cat sitting as well.

About: I have never met an animal I did not love. My mom likes to say that I’ve always loved animals. She remembers me trying to jump out of her arms, before I could even walk, in order to pet a nearby dog. I am a 32 years old and originally from Minnesota. I grew up taking care of a miniature schnauzer named Oreo, who was a wonderful family companion. I had a pet ferret for 6 years named Swarley, who I alone cared for. I have cared for friends and previous roommate’s dogs, fish, cats, rabbits, and rats. I’ve also cared for all kinds of reptiles and amphibians when working at nature centers for 3 years. I have also cared for a neighbors goats and am comfortable around farm animals. I now have a super sweet 8 year old rescue dog named Primrose. I am careful to make sure sneaky pets are unable to escape when I come in and out of doors. I always put a leash and collar on any pet before taking them outdoors. I'm used to and meticulous about keeping medications and food out of reach for pets. I am highly engaged with the pets I am watching and observe for any small signs of stress or health issues. I would call you immediately if I noticed something was wrong or off with your pet and I am totally willing to call your veterinarian or take them to an emergency veterinarian, if ever necessary. I can administer medications and make special diets, if requested.

About: I have actively been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, and in doing so I have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and dog of different ages. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. I'm very active and thus great with dogs who are looking to get in shape or have high energy levels. I have experience working with dogs who have been abused or neglected and re-socialising them. My home is large enough for multiple dogs of many sizes to be comfortable in as well as a short walk away from multiple parks. Both mornings as well nights are currently available Monday-Sunday.

I have been the go-to for friends & family when they are traveling, don’t have time to exercise their pup, or just need someone to check in on their animal(s). About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.

Inside, my home is pet-safe, with a calm and welcoming environment designed to keep your furry friend comfortable and secure. My own friendly, playful dog will also be there to keep your pet company, ensuring they have a buddy for fun and companionship. You can trust that your pet will be treated like family, with all the attention, care, and supervision they need to feel safe and at ease.
