“Amber was the friendliest and most reliable sitter for my 1-1/2 year old Malinois/German Shepard mix. She is truly a dog lover! Aura is a timid rescue pup. Amber’s gentle and calming personality contributed to my dog feeling enough at ease to venture out for sixteen hour long walks. It was such a relief to know that my fur baby was in caring, capable hands while I recovered from surgery. Amber, thank you for being a shining star when I needed canine help and support!!!”

“Sarah has been great, responsive and reliable! She brings with sweet dog over to play with my puppy and it’s been really nice to break up the day while I’m at work! Will continue to hire Sarah as long as I can”

About: I truly enjoy the opportunity to care for dogs of all ages and of all types. It’s not just a source of income, but something I truly enjoy. I frequently dog and house sit for family and friends, and look forward to doing the same for you. I currently have open availability to dedicate to taking care of your pups. I am happy to check in on them, take them for walks, make sure they are fed, provide overnight pet sitting (at your home). I had a pup of my own for fourteen years, but don’t have one at the moment. I look forward to the opportunity! I am available to walk, feed, and pet sit at your home. Long walks for exercise, spending time to be sure they are comfortable, whatever is required. I unfortunately do not have boarding at my home as the building I’ve lived in for nearly twenty years is designated a “historical landmark” and pets are prohibited.
“Colby did great with our Basset Hound, Muffin. They both seemed to enjoy each other immediately. They went for a nice walk, and Muffin offered Colby many kisses afterwards as a thank you. Colby seemed to handle Muffin's little antics quite well, and they parted as new friends. Thank you, Colby!”

“Giuliana was wonderful with our dog Pip! Very communicative and took great care of our senior dog. Took her on a wonderful hour long walk and she was very happy when we got home. Definitely recommend!”

About: I had a dog (pitbull mix) that passed at 14 years old last year and I often took care of my aunt’s dog (redhound mix) that lived until she was 16, so I can handle senior care for dogs. I have lived with cats in the past and have experience cat sitting as well. I have a flexible schedule in the summertime and have a job outdoors that I can take dogs to, though they would just have to get along with other dogs if I bring them to work. My home is just as welcome to pets as it is to humans. I have a large shared (unfenced) yard space and love taking dogs on (leashed!) walks around my neighborhood and surrounding mountains/natural areas. I have 3 years experience cat sitting as well.
About: Hi, my name is Halie and I would love to hangout with your pet! I'd love some furry company joining me on my walks and hikes around the area or just a friendly face around the house. I do have a cat, but she happens to love dogs! She grew up in a farm house, where we actually nicknamed it "doggie daycare" since I ended up entertaining the entire neighborhood of dogs. Please contact me if you want a happy person who loves all animals and adventures with animals. If you dog likes to be social I live near a dog park or if they like quite space I have the house for that. I absolutely love animals and can work with all different types.
“Marissa helped out with some dog walking for me while I was away. She was excellent with my pup and flexible with my schedule and coordinated with my housesitter which was much appreciated. Recommended!”

Very comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I am a full time physical therapist/strength train consistently, so very comfortable handling bigger girls and boys. Please contact me if your dog needs a walk or you need to leave your furry friend with me while you go on vacation! I often start late or end early so can be quite flexible depending on your needs. Happy to be prioritize your furry friend as able! I am very respectful of your particular needs/requests. Everyone is a little different. Happy to dog sit and eventually be able to have dogs come stay with me as my landlord allows. Mainly hoping to help with dog walking. I am very mindful of surroundings and ensure we are safe/properly leashed up before heading outside.

I have been the go-to for friends & family when they are traveling, don’t have time to exercise their pup, or just need someone to check in on their animal(s). I am comfortable giving all types of medications & taking care of any special needs or requests. I have trained both of my dogs from the ground up & it is always a work in progress. I always enjoy meeting your furry family members & love getting to know each & everyone I cross paths with. I work at a local animal hospital (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday’s as a vet tech), but I do have most Wednesday’s available & some weekends available if planned in advance. I have a large yard and two furry boys to help keep yours feeling comfortable & safe. I have a lot of toys & entertainment, I can also crate your dog if needed.

I take their happiness and well-being as seriously as my own, whether that means preparing fresh meals, making sure they stick to their routine, or just giving them lots of love and attention. I'm currently working 30 hours per week, in short shifts, i'm also a part time student. I have reliable days off and live building routine. I can easily crate and administer medication if needed, i'm able to walk and handle all dogs of varying breeds and behaviors. I love animals so any interaction is a treat!
About: My experience taking care of dogs goes back to my childhood. When I was 8 we got a new puppy and from that moment on I have been obsessed. From taking care of newborn puppies and experiencing the birthing process to helping my senior dogs find comfort in their final days, I have seen it all. I learned a lot of what I know from firsthand experience but also from reading many books of dog behavior and from being taught training techniques from a close family friend and dog trainer. Nothing makes me happier than a dog and nothing makes my dog happier than being with other dogs! I hope to ease the stress that can come from managing life and wanting the best for your pup by providing a safe space for them to have fun! I am currently a student at University and my schedule takes me away from the home for 6 hours a day 5 days a week. I am always providing enrichment activities for my dog while I am away from the house and we go on a long walk when I return. I have a big yard that is partially wooded for the dogs to play around in, whether your dog is good off leash or not. I have a run for my dog that he stays on when outside in the yard but he usually sticks with me so he’s not always attached. In the home are multiple dog beds and comfy places for the pups to rest after a long day. There is always access to water, inside and out. My dog is very easy going so we are willing to be adaptable on a pet to pet basis.
About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was about 11 years old — it started with neighbors, family friends, and anyone who needed a hand, and it quickly became something I truly love. Being around dogs has always come naturally to me. I’m patient, calm, playful, and super intuitive with animals, especially dogs of all kinds. I treat every dog like they’re my own, and I make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while their people are away. Over the years, I’ve built real trust with the people I’ve worked with. They know their dogs are in good hands with me — whether it’s for a quick walk or a whole weekend. I’ve looked after energetic puppies, shy rescues, older dogs needing meds, and everything in between. This isn’t just something I do — it’s something I genuinely care about. I currently go to barber school from 8:30-5 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If you need a little check in or letting your dog out after that on those days I would definitely do that! Other than that I am open 6-11pm on every other day unless I have something else going on. If you ever need to know just always reach out if needed! I live in an apartment complex but I usually let me dogs free inside and if they need it I usually bring them to the dog park to get all that playfulness out. I am very attentive so your dog will never be left alone! I have 2 dogs medium size and one likes to relax while the other loves to play but she knows her limits, if the other dog does not like it she does stop.

About: I have actively been taking care of dogs since I was a teenager, and in doing so I have worked with a variety of breeds, sizes, and dog of different ages. My manner of minding focuses on building a connection with the dog while uniquely understanding the breed and the specific needs they may need met. I'm very active and thus great with dogs who are looking to get in shape or have high energy levels. I have experience working with dogs who have been abused or neglected and re-socialising them. My home is large enough for multiple dogs of many sizes to be comfortable in as well as a short walk away from multiple parks. Both mornings as well nights are currently available Monday-Sunday.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
