About: I’ve lived with pets since I was a little kid! I love animals of all kinds, and do my utmost to keep them happy and healthy. I have mainly experience with most types of cats, and smaller dogs. I'm currently off college for the summer, so pretty much any time should work with some notice! I have others at home to take care of my animals if I'm on an extended stay, so I can stay as long as needed. I do all I can to keep your pets happy and safe, I've looked after animals most of my life, so I believe I have some experience! I’ll ensure to follow any guidance you give, and give them plenty of love and care.
“Samantha was extremely helpful with my dog and 2 cats. When it game to a meet and greet Samantha was very thorough and asked a lot of questions to ensure she didn’t miss anything. She was super consistent with timing, and had great communication, send pictures daily. She is someone I trust in my home.”

About: I've owned cats my entire life, as well as rabbits, hermit crabs, and a pug when I was younger. I am most experienced with cats, whether it be kittens, senior cats, and everything in between! I am a college student on summer break, so my schedule is very open! I am free on weekdays and weekends at any time during the day. I am willing to take same-day requests if available. I've taken care of cats for years, so I and can socialize with them, feed them, clean litter, and more! I am happy to bring cat toys, grooming brushes, and treats as needed.
“Justin is easy to work with and a great communicator. We appreciated that he got back to us right away to confirm his availability and provided twice daily updates on our dogs. We won’t hesitate to recommend him to our friends and neighbors. Thanks Justin!”

“Amanda is an awesome pet sitter. My spouse and I are in the middle of moving states and having her watch my dog and cat took SO much stress off of us. She went above and beyond! Thank you! 🙏”

“Irena is a sweetheart and very professional. We are so happy to have found her and hope to have her as the regular sitter for our two cats for a long time to come. We’ve already had her for three different trips. She’s the best.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals for the better part of 40 years. The last 10 years I’ve been competitively training dogs and can help with pet obedience as well as taking care of your special family member at home when you’re not there. I’m available a few days a week as I have a small working farm with goats, chicken, dogs and cats, and responsibilities in my own during the week. I can come care for your pet at home as I do my own. Giving them the special attention they need during the day when you aren’t able to be there.
“This was our first experience using Rover.com, and we couldn't have been happier! Our sitter, Elaine, is terrific! Not only did she capture amazing pictures of our two Bengal cats, she even managed to win over Shiloh, who normally runs and hides under the bed whenever a stranger comes into our home. My husband and I could hardly believe our eyes when we watched the video of Shiloh letting Elaine pet her. It was nice, too, to come home to a clean and tidy area where the food dishes are as our cats always like dropping their food on the floor before eating. I highly recommend Elaine.”

“Just wanted to leave a special review for Stephanie! She really is a great person in general! And what a special kitty sitter☺️she really went over and above. You know leaving your fur babies with someone you don’t know is hard but we really scored with Stephanie! Such a blessing💜Will definitely use her again and again and so should you🫶🏽”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my reliability, attention to detail, and genuine care for each pet as an individual. I take the time to learn and follow a pet’s routine exactly so they feel safe and comfortable, whether they’re a puppy, adult, or senior. I’m patient and confident working with puppies, including basic training reinforcement, potty routines, and leash manners. I’m also attentive to senior pets, providing gentle care, slower-paced activity, medication support if needed, and close monitoring for any changes in behavior or health. I communicate clearly with owners and treat every pet as if they were my own. Pet care fits into my routine through consistent daily habits and a small weekly reset. I take care of feeding and fresh water every day, along with making time for exercise, bathroom breaks, and attention so my pet stays healthy and engaged. I also do quick health checks to make sure everything seems normal. Once a week, I focus on cleaning, grooming, and restocking supplies. Overall, it’s built into my day in a way that feels manageable and routine rather than overwhelming. I care for pets by following a consistent, attentive routine that prioritizes their safety, comfort, and well-being. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets are fed on schedule, always have fresh water, and get the appropriate exercise and bathroom breaks they need. I provide companionship and enrichment through play, attention, and positive interaction, while also monitoring their behavior and health for any changes. I follow any specific instructions given by the owner, including medication, feeding preferences, and routines, to ensure pets feel comfortable and secure in their environment

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember. My very first pet was my childhood cat, who I got when I was 2 years old and who lived with me for 17 wonderful years before crossing the rainbow bridge. I’ve always had a special connection with animals and a passion for caring for them. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for many different types of pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish, and more. I currently have two Dobermans and a kitty of my own. I recently moved to a 2 acre property, which has been amazing for training and working with my dogs, they’re truly thriving with the space and lifestyle they deserve. To me, pets are family, and I always strive to give them the best care, attention, and love possible. I’ve also rescued and fostered kittens in need, helping them find safe and loving forever homes. Caring for animals genuinely brings me happiness, and having them in my life has always been incredibly fulfilling. I currently work part time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time, attention, and care to your pets. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I already care for my own animals every day. At my home, pets have access to a large, secure fenced yard for safe outdoor time and exercise. I also have spacious fenced in kennels available if needed for safety, rest time, or individual comfort. Pets are always supervised, given plenty of attention, and cared for in a clean, calm environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines, instructions, and house rules to help pets feel comfortable and stress free in their familiar environment. I like to check in with pet parents often, sending pictures and updates to give them peace of mind while their pets are in my care.

About: Hi! My name is Sydnee. I’m a 23 year old married animal lover with extensive, hands on experience caring for animals of all sizes. I’ve owned horses since I was young and into adulthood, so I’m very comfortable with livestock as well as typical household pets. I currently have five cats and a dog of my own, and I’ve been actively caring for animals since I was about 13 years old. What started as helping neighbors, friends, and family quickly grew into a full pet sitting business. After several years, I took a break to explore other career paths and get married but my love for animal care never left. I’m excited to be jumping back into pet care and would love the opportunity to provide reliable, compassionate, and knowledgeable care for your animals. 🐾 I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care. I’m able to accommodate a variety of routines, including early mornings, late evenings, extended visits, and last-minute changes when needed. This flexibility allows me to spend quality, unrushed time with each pet and provide consistent, dependable care that fits seamlessly into their normal routine. A day with me is filled with attentive care, comfort, and plenty of love. Your pet’s routine comes first, meals are served on schedule, medications (if needed) are given carefully, and there’s lots of time for play, exercise, and enrichment tailored to their personality. Whether that means long walks, quiet cuddle time, interactive play, or simply relaxing nearby, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
